Terrible all around!

"I ordered a toy for my son for Christmas. 3 days after ordering, I received an email stating it was “out of stock” and they were “sorry for any inconvenience.” A few weeks later I received an email with the option to review my experience with Fleet Farm. I gave 1 star, airing out my frustrations, and today I receive another email stating my review can not be published because it didn’t meet the “website guidelines.” So not only do they falsely advertise products, they also do not publish negative reviews. A terrible company, all around. "

Black Friday online Purchase

"I ordered mens Underarmour long underwear online on your black friday sale on 11/23/18 - size Large for 59.49 and no shipping which was a very good deal. We also ordered a top. Unfortunately the bottoms are too large and we need a medium. Upon calling the customer service number they informed me that they cannot do an even exchange online. In calling our local store they did not have the size I needed. The closest store that did have our size was 62 miles away. I then had to order the size we needed for an increased price of $84.99 plus shipping of $11.99. In placing my order for the Black Friday sale there is no information on that website indicating that exchanges were not possible. We are very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of ethical and honest advertising for your black friday sale. In fact in checking my online browsing history your return policies say just the opposite thus I had full faith in my Black Friday purchase. This turns out to be untrue. Please provide better information in your online sales for the customer. This is very frustrating!"

Don't order online

"My receipt said I had only 2 days to pick up my online order. I did not realize that - I had ordered it while on vacation and planned to pick it up when I returned. Upon my return, I went to print receipt and saw I should have picked it up 2 days previously. So I didn't because I didn't want to get all the way out to the store for nothing. Then 3 days after that, I get an order cancellation. That's 5 days after the required date. I would have gone out there the day I was back if I knew they weren't going to cancel according to their own receipt statement. "

Investment bank owner appears to be preparing for a sale

"The store that I used to shop at is frequently out of advertised items the same day that the ads start. What do you suppose they expect, when they put items on sale? ...people come in to buy. Maybe what they really want is for people to buy something else. And even more curious is that the same out of stock item is put on sale the next week...to bring people in hoping that they will buy something else. This situation has been going on over the last 6+ months. I have alerted people in charge at the store and at the answer center, but nothing is done. If this were a legitimate ongoing business, they would have fixed the problem by now..i.e trained those accountable or let them go because they can't do their job. Since none of this is happening, this is a sign that either they are completely incompetent, which is not surprising since they are not owned by a company with retail expertise, or that something is happening behind the scenes. Investment banks are not in the retail business, and typically not customer friendly. If you shop there for an item that is on sale, but they are out of stock, don't buy something else. Just leave."

Stores must be closing - Nothing in stock anymore since Mills sold the stores.

"Half the items on sale are no longer in stock at my store. The buyers have downgraded many items that used to be in stock. They used to have my size of jeans,,,,not any more. Must not have had enough sales volume on my size. They replaced the one gallon bottled water to a more expensive brand. They have intermittent inventory. They went from a bottle you could pour with one hand while holding a glass in the other hand to a bottle with a **** top that takes two hands to pour and hold. To top it off the bottle no longer fits in the refrigerator.
For many years I could go to Mills Fleet Farm and pick up whatever I needed. Now I am lucky if they have half of the items I want in stock. Many of the new employees are not trained for customer service. They don't know where items are, give wrong information, and won't even acknowledge your questions.
I am hoping the Mills' family will buy it back for half the price they sold it for and get the products and inventory back up to par. I feel sorry for the long term employees that now have to take the flack from customers. I also feel sorry for the investors that have stock in the company that purchased Mills Fleet Farm. I am going to make sure none of my portfolio has anything to do with the new owners! ("Dumber than Donkeys")

Horrible customer service clerk

"I was at the Germantown, WI store this morning. One of the items we purchased offered a rebate. The sign said to acquire the rebate form at customer service. While my husband was checking out, I went and stood in line at customer service. When it was my turn I asked about the rebate form and the clerk told me she would not give me a rebate form until I produced a receipt. I waited for my husband to finish checking out and bring the receipt to the counter. She grabbed the receipt from me and handed it to another customer service clerk. Now this clerk asked me if there were no more rebate forms in the bin to which I answered, "what bin?". The other clerk shouted over her shoulder "she didn't even look!". I said "I don't know what you are talking about, what bin?" The other clerk walked over to the bin and fished out a rebate form and handed it to my husband. She apologized for her rude supervisor. Why in the world was I treated this way? Why didn't the supervisor simply tell me where that bin was and why did she demand to see my receipt when the rebates are clearly up for grabs to anyone? I just don't get it. She could have simply told me where they were when I came to the counter. I'm never going back there again."

Misleading/Inaccurate Advertising

"I researched portable propane heater to use while camping. I purchased a unit from Mills Fleet Farm and when it arrived the propane connection was not designed to connect to a 20lb tank, like you BBQ grill. I called the manufacturer of the heater and was told the heater specifications is that the unit is to be connected to a 100lb propane tank only. Any modification of the connection voids the warranty and will create a dangerous situation. Carrying a 100lb tank into the woods is not practical. I did not open.unpack the product all the way as the hose connection was the first thing in the package.
I called Mill Fleet Farm and spoke to a gentleman who understood the issue and said to return it for a refund. The next day I went to UPS to ship everything back in the original packaging and was told the cost to ship is $80 - this is almost the same price as the heater. I called Mills Fleet Farm and spoke to a woman regarding the issue and she said " The product description does not specify the propane tank size so unless the unit is damaged or malfunctioning the return shipping is not refundable". Say What!!! Their advertisement omitted critical manufacturer information that would have altered my decision to buy this unit. She could care less...
I'm now stuck with a useless heater due to misrepresentation of advertising!! Buyer Beware from this place!!

Worst online store and Customer Service EVER!!!

"This company doesn't even deserve one star! HERSHEY REESES’S PEANUT BUTTER HEART - 1 LB. is on clearance for 75% off, but you can't even buy it for the savings you're supposed to get. If you buy at least 10 of them then I guess it's worth it. And who wants 10 pounds or Reeses lying around?? And why would you need to buy at least ten? They won't waive the $7.99 shipping charge! I'm buying something from them that costs $2.74!!! Not to mention, it does not cost them anywhere near $7.99 to ship out a one pound item. Are they freaking serious?!?? This lady Sherri, who seems to be the only person who works for Customer Service.. who answers the phone at every single extenstion you dial... has a crappy attitude and clearly cares less whether or not the company gains, keeps, or loses customers... "Yeah, we're not offering anything at the moment." "But your website says free shipping." "That page is expired." "But it was still up." "The page expired." "What if I buy 50 of them, can you waive the shipping for me then?" "Yeah, we just don't do that." "Well I just won't buy anything then." "Ok. Have a good day"... Christ! I could've told the witch she was on fire and she would've just been like, "Oh, okay"... Unbelievable! And they wonder why they don't have many customers compared to other similar online retailers. They obviously don't if they have one freakin lady running everything (I personally will never shop here in the future). And they probably also wonder why they can't get rid of this item at 75% off... They'll probably mark it all the way down to 90% off and they still won't be able to get rid of it. lol All because of their ridiculous $7.99 shipping charge. No matter how small... OR big!"

Horrible Customer Service

"By far the worst place to do your shopping, poor CS and have rude manner. It almost seems like they hate their jobs. Customer is not their priority, the supervisor on duty have bad manner also. I would not recommend this store to any business person or any of my friends or family. I will not shop at this store anymore you can be sure on that!"

worst place to order

"This was my first time order at that company online. When I bought the items they sent me an email to tell me that I will receive the tracking number form FedEx. When I received it i have been tracking my items and the day they said that I was going to receive it I spent the whole day waiting for it. In that night I checked the tracking they said delivered. I never received it. When I called to report it. A woman told me that she will put my case on investigation. No one ever email or text me to let me know what is going on. Since then I finally never received my order. First time last time. I will never order anything from that company again."

Never order from them

"I ordered a dual burner heater on December 22nd they said they would call when it was In. A week went by I called they told me it wasn't in yet so I asked if they could track it to see where it was they said no they can do that I know for a fact that's that's not true. So another week went by still haven't got it almost a month later I called again and ask to speak to another manager 10 minutes later he called me back and lo and behold there was one on the Shelf if you ask me that's pretty ridiculous. I will never order anything from there again And not even a discount or anything for waiting so long"

Poor customer service after the sale and receipt of defective merchandise

"I purchased on line, received defective merchandise, called was told they could not get me replacement part or replacement merchandise but I could call Hong Kong and speak to mfg. Or call the distributor. I purchased from mills fleet and felt they should call distributor or mfg. Not have me do it. They did offer full refund upon return but this was a Christmas toy we assembled for grandchild Christmas day. He loved the toy but I wanted one that functioned completely as described. Also, assembly instructions were very poor. "

Great Price Great Service

"We needed coffee filters and like most did the normal internet search and saw the normal Amazon, Amazon, Amazon and then saw "Mills Fleet Farm", didn't have a clue what they were or where they were located but did discover they had the best prices available on the Web.
We ordered 1595 filters, shipping was $7.95 and during the crush of the holiday season received them in 4 days, perfectly packaged.
I'm very pleased with this retailer and will shop with them again without hesitation.
