"This was the first time I had a scientific poster printed so I did not know what to expect or how to go about doing it. I was referred to Makesigns by a colleague and I was very happy with the final product but also the whole ordering process.
Their website was very, VERY user friendly. They even provided a "how to" video, which I watched, and it just incredibly useful. I was concerned about the size of my poster because I know that the program I used might stretch when printed, which would make the final product look funny. But Makesigns has a program that automatically figures out what the best dimensions are for your specific poster. They also have a variety of finishes and of course, I had no idea what I wanted. But again, Makesigns had thought of this; they provided information about different types of posters and even suggested what would work the best for my needs, and they were absolutely right. The entire uploading process was effortless, even for someone like me who has never done this before.
At checkout, they give you your shipping options and the prices associated with those options. This was very useful because I kind of waited to the last minute. While I didn't need it overnight (although that was an option) I needed it with a few days. The shipping page explained what my options were, how much it would cost, and the approximate day that I would receive it. This was very useful because it allowed me to pick the option prefect for me which saved me a nice chunk of money.
The poster came just when they said it would and I was extremely happy with the final product.

"I have been using Makesigns.com for several years to produce scientific posters. They are fast, and typically have been able to print and ship my posters the same day. They are reliable - I have done around 5 posters/year with them for the last 4 years and have not had any issues that were their fault. In fact, when an error was found on one of the posters after printing a few years ago (due to a Powerpoint issue), they immediately reprinted a corrected poster. On my most recent order, after the poster was printed they even called me to let me know that the poster can be shipped out with a less expensive shipping option than the one I chose, and still arrive on my required date. That is just a couple examples of their excellent customer service.
The quality of the posters is consistently great, and I have been able to submit a variety of file types for the poster. Their pricing is also very reasonable. Overall, they are the best company I've used for making posters (beating out the graphical arts department at my university and a couple other places).
