"My plasma TV stopped working. Called up Mackcam on Monday, described my problem to the operator and received a call back from Steve within 2 hours. He knew exactly what the problem was just from my description and said he would order the part that was needed to fix my TV. My TV was repaired the following Monday as soon as they received the part. The repairman fixed the tv within 20 minutes in my home. They really know their stuff and I had a very pleasant experience. Thank you."

"I want to share with all the good experience that i had from mack worldwide warranty to my Nikkon D5100 camera .
As i bought the camera in USA before 6 months ' the warranty is not valid in Israel where i live so i bought the mack warranty
before 3 weeks the cam stop ed working , and i bring it to Erlich lab to repair . i asked Mack to cover the fee of the reparation and i shortly got OK to lab to repair it
all procces including the repair ( they exchange the mirror housing) took less than 4 weeks
so i very pleased with their support

"I purchased a Samsung 55 inch LED tv from Buydig and I purchased a warranty from Mack on top of it. After two years of use my main board went bad and I had to have it repaired. I wrote to them not once but twice before I received a response (which took them two weeks) and then I had to wait another two weeks before they had anyone come to my home. It is the only tv I own and I told them I would like a rental tv when I called them. The woman on the phone told me this was not their problem and they could not provide me with a loaner tv. So, I was without my tv for awhile and the customer service lady was completely rude! I paid good money for a warranty that leaves you hanging for a month before anything is done. This is the reason I will NEVER buy a warranty contract from them again. I will go to Best Buy or HH Gregg and pay a little more if I have to cause I know their service is a lot better. I have never felt this way about any other company I have ever done business with. Buyer beware!

Vice President of the company called me and promised to make things right for me. Warranty work was ok'd through the company still waiting on a response from the repair company. I felt good about my situation after talking with him but still feel slighted by customer service because of waiting almost two months but Dave was very courteous and put my mind at ease about this company.

"I was initially skeptical at how effective the Mack Warranty would be after reading some of the other reviews. I purchased a Denon Amp in 2009 along with a 3-yr extended Mack warranty. I recently experienced some issues with the Amp, so I e-mailed Mack Customer Service and requested authorization to have a local Denon authorized repair center fix the problem. The very next day, I received a ‘local repair request form’ with instructions on what information I was to provide. I immediately sent them the required documents and received another e-mail the same day with a ‘control number’, along with instructions to obtain an estimate from the local repair center. Within two days, I had the repair center submit the estimate for the repairs. Two business days later, I had the approval for my estimate, and the repair was accomplished. The whole process took 1 week! I am extremely happy with the people at Mack Camera Customer Service – they were courteous on the phone, and prompt with their responses. I would not hesitate to obtain another Mack Camera warranty."

"Really disappointed at the Mack Camera Customer service. They've had my camera for a month now and haven't even update the status of my repair ticket to let know where they are in process of repairing my Camera. This is the second and last time this has happened to me with Mack Camera. Do not but extended warrents from the company. They don't believe in customer service, only taking your money."

"STAY AWAY! Their warranties are useless. Sent a camera in for warranty repair & first took forever to get to it, then told parts were ordered. 5 days later they decided they were not going to repair under warranty, they said camera had impact. I can tell you the camera never had impact. I never ever dropped this camera. There was an error code. Guess they decided it was too expensive for them to repair under warranty. No way was I giving them more money to repair what should have been covered. Will NEVER deal with them again. Bought it through B&H & they (B&H)are fantastic, but I won't buy an extended warranty again."

Let me first say that in the past, I had been satisfied with Mack Camera. The prices are fair when purchased from a good dealer such as BH Camera or Adorama.....HOWEVER, I have recently gotten
horrible service....information is vague, when they post that camera is sent to manufacturer, and you press them (I did call manufacturer and they never had the camera) they tell you they sent it to a certified repair place....hmmm oh and they are hard to reach by phone. I'm still waiting for my came a and although I was told I was going to get it by today (they were on speaker phone others heard conversation) I was today told I may see my camera NEXT week.

My camera was sent to Mack in January 7th... And it was never fixed. it was sent back, still broken, sent back to Mack ABSOLUTELY lied to about what was happening...I got the truth from United Image/binocular, then Pentax helped....Mack said they approved an estimate but Pentax hadn't finished the estimate until April 1st.....I sent them the camera the 2nd time on March 7th or so.....nice job Mack! I'd never use Mack again...their service might be US based and they were good but, like Dell...they were good and now....not so good.

I was told that I will not see my camera for another 2 weeks. Mack has been giving me the run-around. But I did track the camera from Mack to united imaging/binocular to Pentax. Pentax said they first got an estimate on April first but according to Mack, they told me they gave United an approval on March 19th. I was told by Mack that when Pentax is done they will send it to United who in turn sends it to Mack who will then send it to me. I have been without my DSLR since January. Is there ANYTHING you can do for me. Macks website estimates repair times of 15 or so working days. This is not fair and Mack is definitely a horrible product.

"DO NOT BUY - BEWARE - My wife purchased a 3 year extended warranty with her Canon 40D. After 2.5 years the camera developed a focusing issue and was sent to Mack Camera for service. They flat out lied to her about the problem. They claimed the camera had shutter damage from changing lenses. This was of course total BS. The shutter was working perfectly when sent back for repair. The camera was reporting no errors and worked perfectly in every way except that all but 2 of the focus points did not work."

"I purchased a 3 year warranty on my laptop. I returned for repair as the hard drive failed. They called and said that they will install a new hard drive, but it will cost me $150 to restore the operating system, or $75 to restore the OS with the original factory CD which I will have to send to them. They claimed that the warranty excluded softwares, and the operating system is a software, and they will not reinstall that without a fee. To me, the OS is part of the computer, just like the BIOS. To not reinstall drivers, OS or BIOS is like repairing the car but not the engine. I find this warranty for computer is grossly inadequate and unacceptable."

"I am VERY Happy with Mack Warranty. I bought a Jvc hdila 61" HD tv from Beach Camera online. After a year and a half, the bulb went out. They replaced it no questions asked. Now after almost a full 4 years, almost at the end of my warranty, the tv has major problems. They paid for the local JVC authorized repair guy to come and service the tv. However the bill for repair outweighed the cost. So they they sent me a check for $1,200.00 to replace it! They don't make 61" HDTV's anymore, so that figure was based on a new Mitsubishi 65" 3d ready DLP HDTV. I got the check today after 45 business days as stated. I will surely warranty my future electronics with Mack. "

"I purchased a 3-year NEC projector bulb warranty in March and had to use it last week (December). The bulb didn't burn out, but the image became so dim as to be unwatchable. Even though it wasn't really dead and even though I had missed registering the warranty in March, they (Nicole) guiding me through the registration process and the exchange process, and I got the replacement bulb a couple days ago. I wanted to thank them for being the good guys and sending me the replacement [quickly] before making me return my dead bulb. It's an unbelievable improvement, BTW."

"Awful service. I don't recommend making any business with this company.
- I sent all the paperwork for a DSLR camera repair international warranty on sept. 2nd 2010, including the Canon repair estimate
- I had to send many emails (never answered) and make 3 phone calls from France to finally get the estimate approval email on oct. 27, almost two months later
- I had my camera repaired here in France by an authorized Canon service (short 7 days delay)
- I then sent the paid invoice on Nov. 9th to Mack Cam, and again I had to send many emails (still no answer) and make 3 phone calls from France to get them transfer my money to my paypal account today (Dec 10), that is one month later.
All in all, I stayed more than 2 months without my camera available (for a 7-day repair), and one more month waiting for reimbursement. Plain bad business. I'll never ever buy another Mack Cam warranty.
