"I asked them prior to purchasing if this item was in stock and ready for immediate shipping. They said yes. I asked a couple of times during the ordering process. Well, I kept checking everyday and they said the order was processed and it would ship that day and I would get an email. Well it didn't ship that day so I called the next day and the lady checks with the warehouse and they don't have them so she checks with the buyer and he says that the shipment from Nikon is coming in that day and it would ship out that day. Well it didn't. At least they didn't hang up on me yet like the other companies did. I finally did get a tracking number"had to call them to get it" and it did arrive finally 5 days after shipping. It arrived in good condition and is a brand new product. They did still lie to me in the begining and along the way until the day they actually shipped it. Just glad to finally have the camera. I will check ratings before I buy again."

"I dont remember my invoice but I bought a camcorder in 1999 from these guys. I wanted to buy a sony but they made me buy canon(Nothing against canon). It is partly my fault cos I succumbed to their pressure. After couple of years and less than 10 uses. The camera broke. They also try to make you buy all kinds of junk. Be careful."

"I have to chime in with other negative reviews of this store. Like some others I did not complete my purchase but rather bailed after encountering hard selling salesman (thanks a bunch to this forum).
I was shopping for Canon Optura 30 camcorder and this place had second cheapest basic and total price overall, although shipping seemed steep at $20. I am cheap and in the past I bought stuff both from reputable vendors and no-name places. I was lucky so far, maybe that's why this time I was not careful enough with my research on this store - quick look at their website would give me a whiff of blue cheese, I am sesnsitive to lies.
After placing and order I promptly received a confirmation email with reference number and was naively expecting shipping notification sometime soon. Later in the day I decided to check out their online order status system and found their website down. Quick google search and I am already reading resellerratings of this store and start to freak out - poor reviews, website down, no phone numbers to call in the confirmation email - should I call my credit card to stop payment?! Next morning the website is up again - sigh of relief! Now I carefully browse through the whole store - half-baked website, no physical address, meaningless one paragraph statement about privacy policy, draconian return policies. Plugged in invoice number and email into order status check page - "No such number". Dialed their 800 number - got bounced around menus and put on 10 minute hold - finally hung up.
At last, email:
"My name is Ralph I have been assigned to your account. There is some additional information that is needed to complete the processing of your order. Can you please give me a call at 1800-300-0615 or ***-***-**** ext. 209. Please reference confirmation #2213717 when you call."
Took me four attempts to get hold of the kid. In a lazy voice he started to spin me: "I've noticed you didn't order any batteries." But it comes with a battery, right? "Yeah, but it only lasts for 30 minutes. I can sell you one that is good for 2 hours and it is only $100." No, thanks. May I cancel my order? "Sure thing. May I ask why?" I don't have to answer that, right? "Still, tell me why." Because I don't want to waste my time talking about overpriced accessories. "So, how much exactly does your time cost?" Then the conversation quickly wound down - he basically hung up on me.
So overall I hope that I got off the hook easy (if these omnivores do not bottom feed on my personal and credit card info).
Lesson learned - 10% saved off fair price of the purchase is not worth the risk when buying big ticket item - stick with reputable places.

"My WORST shopping experience EVER!!.. I called the MPSuperstore sales staff to confirm my method of purchase with my Canadian Credit card as they explain on their websiete. I thought, no problem, I follow their process and NEVER heard from them again.

I called during the weekend because I never received a receipt of my e-mail order to ****@****. Only to find out, only sales people work during weekends, they could not help me but assured me that on Monday would be able to help me. I talked to "Tom" who takes care of e-mail orders, it took him a while to find my order of almost four days. He found it, but said that I could only get my order at the new price, which was highter from the date I originally order my oder. I talked to a man by the name Berney, and when I told him that where they were doing was not right that I wanted to talk to their legal department, he conviniently hung up on me. Tom, told me repetedly that they could not afford losing money on their products, no matter what my order price the day I ordered.

I insisted and called a forth time, all in one morning, was able to talk to Mr. David Water, a supervisor. I was tired but I needed to talk to someone who had any athority in this jungle of a place where, no one, absolutely no one passed customer services cared they way they spoke to a customer. I have never encountered such rudness and negativeness from any business. I have a very bad feeling about ordering anthing from anyone via internet. They can DO as they like to you - they have your credit CARD NUMBER!!

After I spoke with Mr. David Water or possibly Walter; he assured me that he was going to approve my order to "Tom" and he transferred my call to "Tom". Tom, picked up the phone and immediatley told me he could only fill half of my order due to a shortage of the product, again, he did not follow Mr. David Water's instructions. By this time, I was so exhausted from talking to four different people. The only nice voice I ever heard at this company's end was when a lady from customer services answers the phone - but she has no knowledge of your problem and from there you get bounced from Tom, to Berney and Chuck if he is in.

I will never have tried doing business with Marine Park if I knew what the nightmare would be like. Not only we spent the weekend worried about them having our credit card, but the endless hours we spent trying to call and express our case. At THE END, WE WERE NOT CUSTOMERS BUT JUST PEOPLE THEY DIDNT' WANT TO DEAL WITH. THE TONE OF THEIR VOICES, THE MANY, NO, WE CAN NOT HONOR THE PRICE QUOTED ON THE WEBSITE AT THE TIME OF ORDER. WE ARE NOT IN THE BUSIENSS OF LOSING MONEY.

We should wise up and buy locally, this enternet shopping should all have a red banner: SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

SEND YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, THEY USED IT AT THEIR DISCRETION, BILLING YOU BEFORE THEY EVEN SEND YOU MERCHANDISE. THE "OUT OF STOCK" EXUSE IS EVER SO FAMILIAR. THEIR NAME AND TITLE SHOULD BE "OUT OF STOCK", LUCKY IF YOU GET IT.

WHY ARE PEOPLE LIKE THIS STILL DOING BUSINESS? WHERE DOES OUR GOVERNMENT COME IN AND STOP PEOPLE LIKE THIS WITH A VALID LICENSE TO DO BUSINESS. WE TRUST THEM BECAUSE WE ASSUME THE GOVERNMENT HAS APPROVED THEIR LEGITIMATE AND HONORABLE WAY OF DOING BUSINESS.

"I bought something for XMAS around the 20th of DEC 2004 from this store. The item (sony clie) was supposed to be a gift for a relative.

It's Jan 13 2005, I just got the clie back from the relative because it's defective. I called MP superstore asking for an exchange. They wouldn't do anything to exchange it and told me to go to the manufacturer (SONY).

That is garbage!

"This is the 3rd time I ordered a digital camera from them. Asked me to call them as usual, polite CSR offer some accessories and I refused. The only difference is this time they shipped it 2 days later instead of same day I called them. But considering their price I accept that.

Camera arrived in original box new condition. I will buy again.

"I'm a college student home for the holidays. I ordered by a debit card which is bound to my school address.
I placed my order, and got NO confirmation email for over a day. I thought my order hadn't gone through, as my item was listed as still in the cart.
Got an email on the 23rd, saying that they needed to confirm some details. Obviously machine-generated; the email had no proper line breaks. Got a call on the 23rd, they tried to upsell me. Real nice business practices. If I wanted a snap-on telephoto lens, I would have ordered it! Goodness knows they showed a link to the product at every opportunity.
Charge went through on the 25th.
Then, I got a call on the 26th. Woman asked for all my billing address and shipping address info again. I, of course, had to spell everything out slowly. She refused to take the second address line for my billing address; it was "unnecessary". She then started asking about proof of residence. I told her to cancel the order, she said "okay" and hung up.
Got recommended here by relatives. Nice relatives.
Deal with this place at your own peril.

Refund in the full amount was credited to my account on 1/1/05. I'm sure that was expensed in calendar year 2005.

"Wow, I have never in my life dealt with such a dishonest and fraudulent company. This store and Electrodiscounts are sister companies and will flat out lie to you time and time again. Tom and David will fraudulently make up "upgrade" equipment like a "faster" camera memory card for an additional $30 and then send the same one listed that was cheaper. I caught them in this lie by getting the manufacturer to look into this. They are the WORST company. My overnight shipping for $40 only got me the camera, the memory card and accesories have been back ordered for a month now and no one will talk to me. I get hung up on, "we're checking on it" emails, and again lied to with "it's in the mail." What a bunch of half-wits. I have turned them into the BBB of NY they have been unethical and I still have no resolution to my problem. I wish this nightmare would end. DO NOT BUY FROM ELECTRODISCOUNTS OR MARINE PARK (MP SUPERSTORE). They should be shut down."

"I wish I would have known about this website before ordering from MP Superstore! I ordered the Canon 20D on Monday 12/6/2004. That evening, I got an email requesting that I call MP for "confirmation". I called on Tuesday 12/7/2004, and Jeff C wanted to sell me all sorts of accessories that I did not want or need. I declined all and stated that I just wanted the camera. I asked when it would be shipped, and he said within 24-48 hours. I called back on Thursday 12/9/2004, because my credit card had been charged on Tuesday 12/7, but I had not yet rec'd the tracking number by email as promised. At that time, "Customer Service" told me the camera would be shipped Thursday or Friday. I called again Friday, and again on Sunday 12/12/2004. It has still not shipped. I told Jeff C that I wanted to cancel the order. He told me I had to call "Customer Service" on Monday, since they are not open on Sunday. I called Monday and finally got the customer service rep to admit that they did not have the camera in stock. I cancelled the order. An hour later, I got an email telling me that due to a "data entry error" the item was not available. The next day, I got an email stating that the item was not available and my order would be cancelled. No kidding! The email also said the camera would be removed from the web site. I checked -- it was not removed. I did not recieve credit on my credit card until 12/15/2004. Do not deal with these people. They are all liars and unethical business people. I will NEVER give them any business."

"Ordered a refurb Minolta XT on 11/28 & received the dreaded "call to confirm" email. To my surprise the MP employee was courteous & my order was processed without a hitch (did I pay too much?). Anyway, the item shipped that day and arrived the next. It was as advertised with all included accessories and a better warrantee than was advertised.
All in All this was a pleasant transaction.

"I ordered my laptop via overnight service because I needed it ASAP. I ordered a factory refurb unit, however, upon arrival I noticed the "FACTORY REFURBISHED - Do not accept if this seal is broken" tape seal was broken. The laptop I received has horrible scratch marks and a DEAD PIXEL. I tried to return it but they were out of stock and made me pay my own shipping charges + buy a 'more expensive' unit. Also were very rude on the phone and refused to compensate me for my trouble. Scammers. Stay away!"

"I ordered a NIKON ENEL 3 Battery from this company and was shipped a generic brand compatible battery. I tried to return it but got a fast talking manager who didn't even give me a chance to talk. The web site said nothing about it being a generic brand. It says "NIKON ENEL3 RECHARGEABLE BATTERY" in bold letters next to a photo of a real NIKON battery. The photo in the ad is of a NIKON brand battery with the word NIKON clearly visible on the battery. Nowhere on the website does it say that this is manufactured by any other company other that what it is advertised as on the web site. The manager said that it says on the website that the photos are for illustration only. I checked the entire website and found no such claim. Every time I tried to speak to the manager he would interrupt me or put me on hold. Finally I yelled at him to shut up and let me speak. The manager hung up on me without resolving the issue. I called him back but he would only give me an e-mail address to send a complaint to and to request return information.

"Here's what happened: They told me to call to confirm the order, but actually they are trying to sell you highly expensive accesorries that are cheaper in your local store. Infact, the guy promised me a free extended waranty if I purchased a Sony Memory stick upgrade for the palm. I agreed to do so, just to find out that the next day my creditcard was charged another 99.99 for extended waranty plus the expensive 30 dollars for a memory stick. I called them using an internet phone so I had every single phone conversation recorded. I called back the customer service, and I even PLAYED BACK to him the conversation i had with one of the rude customer service rep about my FREE extended waranty, and he told me I was making it up. I think its THE SAME GUY! I bought it from here to save 40 dollars now I got absolutely nothing. THREE WHOLE WEEKS into my purchase, now I asked for a refund on a $500 item. I still havent recieved my money yet.

Customer Service was incredibly rude. It was supposed to be a gift for my son's birthday, you guys have no idea how dissapointed he was when I had to tell him I havent recieved the item yet.
Also, if you noticed, all the "GOOD" reviews from this site is completely made up. People who work at MPSUPERSTORE probably wrote it themselves to try to give the site a good rating. Do not ever buy from this store.
