Horrible Customer Service

"I recently made a purchase of nearly $2000 worth of building supplies from Lowe’s with a scheduled delivery. Four boards arrived instead of all of the supplies, two of which were too warped and cracked to be usable. After spending two hours on hold and being told to call the delivery service they contract with, who then referred me back to Lowe’s, a second delivery with a ridiculous 12-hour window was given for week later. After waiting 10 hours, with help waiting to work, I reached out to Lowe’s again, who stated that the delivery would not happen; and I was again given a new delivery date with another 12-hour window. The third delivery again did not happen, although I received a call from the driver the morning of delivery stating he would arrive before noon. After again waiting for an entire day, I reached out to Lowe’s who attempted to schedule a fourth delivery date. This took an additional three hours of phone calls to three separate stores, none of whom were responsible for the actual delivery according to the managers I spoke with. When attempting to cancel the entire order, I was told that the delivery fee could not be refunded, but would be reduced by 20 dollars, for the four boards I received, even though the $2000 dollars’ worth of building supplies never arrived. OUTCOME: 30 hours of waiting for delivery. Hired help for the job paid with no work completed. Six hours of phone calls to three Lowe’s stores and a delivery service, none of which would take responsibility for the order or assist in any meaningful way, and being hung up on after hour long holds twice. Job postponed a month. Lost delivery fee and wages. Ongoing struggle to get refund for materials that were billed to credit card. Only big box outlets like Lowe’s can afford to treat customers like this, and soon, they will be all that is left. "

Lowe’s Management should get some training from Home Depot

"Just horrible service. Lowe’s senior management should get some training from Home Depot so that they can implement proper procedure and provide appropriate customer service. Picked up parts from Home Depot in 5 minutes and then it took an hour to get my parts from Lowe’s. It seems that no one knows what they are doing or supposed to do. And they will not improve till many stop buying from Lowe’s. "

Absolute worst processing times!

"Everytime I buy anything online (always stuff in stock at store) for curbside pickup... Lowe's takes FOREVER to "process" the order. Of course the credit card payment is processed immediately."

3 piece Style Bistro Set 1099792 - poorly manufactured/poor customer service

"We have frequented the store on Dani Dr in Fort Myers almost weekly since moving here on Dec 1st. Although the customer service was truly lacking we could count on the quality of the products purchased. Yesterday we purchased this set and I was trying to assemble it this morning. The bottom seat portion of both chairs was too small and could not connect to the frame. I then tried to assemble the table and the + piece that connects the table legs together was too small. I called the phone number on the paperwork (Style brand is made for Lowes) and for all items they will send replacement parts which I should receive in 7-10 business days. I do not have confidence that the parts that are sent will work any better. The store manager said if the parts didn't work I could return all to the store for a full refund. If I had wanted to wait I would have placed an order online. And if the parts are wrong, I have to return all items to the store. We purchased this item in good faith and are truly disappointed and most likely will not return to any Lowes in the future.

going somewhere else

"I was trying to buy something and they cancel the order without my approver . Called the 1-800 number took 30 mins of waiting , when I finally got someone on the line they told me that 'we don't have the item in stock' but yet when I went online , its says its available !! why does it say IT'S AVALIABLE on the website I replied the lowe's employee couldn't answer. I got a lowe's card to save the 5 % for nothing, I completely waste of time and didn't get anything for no coupon , no rewards , the phone employee couldn't re order the item because he couldn't find the item available on his computer . I couldn't have gotten the item on AMAZON and gotten it shipped at most in 4 days , instead 3 weeks with nothing but a headache.

ps : the customer services phone guy was nice and polite.

DO NOT USE THEIR DELIVERY OPTION

"Absolutely the worst anyone can imagine. I didn't get mine on the scheduled day, they rescheduled for a week later without notifying me in advance. When I asked for an earlier time, the representative said, " I can put it down, but you might not get it, and then your just going to call back mad again." I wasn't mad in the first place. Lowes blame it on DSI and DSI blames it on Lowes. I lived 5 minutes away from our local Lowes and it took two days. Then they leave behind a six foot pallet. What do I do with that?
Poor, pathetic service.

Refund 2020

"Ordered November last year a glass shower door at Lowe online, the delivery company Estes Express Fort-Meyers was suppose to deliver the Door on December 9th 2020, They called me to tell that the door was broken and send it back to the manufacture and that I had to call Lowe's! I did call Lowes and explained the situation and the person on the phone ordered a new one for a discount price ( ended up with the wrong door !!! ) and charged my card. so now I paid for 2 doors !! couple of weeks later I called Estes Express Fort-Meyers, they told me that I have to call Lowe's, I called Lowe's
They told me first that Estes Express Fort-Meyers never put in the clam and now they told me that the manufacture never received the broken door !!!!! so gone $ 222

AWFUL eCommerce System

"Site is awful. Promo codes that don't process automatically. In-stock items that magically have no stock upon going to check out. Free Shipping items that don't ship upon going to checkout. Agent that 'hung up' when I asked to have my account deleted because of the experience. Completely unacceptable in every way, with no redeeming qualities."

"They sell extended warranties / take your 200 dollars for a perceived extra 4 years protection / then send out incompetents like AandE who come out pull a part out of clothes washer then leave w/o a word and mark visit as repair completed/ 2nd appt 3 weeks later ,dont even show up/ 3rd appt. 6 1/2 wks later... stil broken// trust me do not go to Lowes for appliances /NO honor system or integrity"

Where's my Refrigerator?

"Bought a refrigerator on a Wensday for Friday delivery. I was told they would call Thursday to set a appointment time. Well call Lowes Friday mid day since I hadn't heard from anyone.
I was told it was on it way and they would call before showing up. Here it is Saturaday at 11 am and still no word from Lowes. I called again and after 25 minutes on hold they said they would need to check more and would call me back.
Seems they use a third party company to deliver there products. Must not care if they do a good job or not.

Lowes Online Ordering System is Terrible!

"If I had the option, I would give Lowes 0 stars. I ordered a Bosch appliance package with Lowes back in October. Even though their prices were a little higher, I used Lowes because I was promised a November 20th delivery. I received an email that my order was going to be received the week of November 20th, so I gave away my old appliances. The day before the delivery, I received another emaI stating the date was moved to December 11th. Needless to say, today is December 22nd, and I still have no appliances. I tried calling several times to speak to someone who supervises online ordering, but I never heard back from anyone connected with this ineffective system. I finally received a call from a local store who's manager agreed that there are so many screw ups and the local stores( who have nothing to do with the system) are assigned to speak to the unhappy customers. I had no appliances for Thanksgiving and now it will be the same for Christmas. I have cancelled my order with Lowes and would never use them again. They even screwed up my refund! Very poor customer service. Use a local appliance store. Thanks to ABC Appliances in Pennsauken, NJ, I will soon have new appliances.

Really management? A golden opportunity lost

"During this virus, I've been using the time to build a shed in the rear of my property. Since April 2020 I've watched my store in Martell, CA go from -okay- to horrible. In a time that many folks are out of work, you guys pick this time to reduce your floor staff. Why? In an obvious money grab. While hardware stores and home improvement centers see a huge uptick in sales, you said let's cut labor costs. The result: shelves go un-stocked, web pages constantly show item locations wrong, check out is at minimum half hour wait times, and don't even think about going to customer service. Order on line for pick up? What a joke. Same location, I ordered wood for a project I 'wanted' to do this afternoon. Now, three hours later, still no word to pick up. The store is 45 minutes away by car. Even if they were to say right now the order is ready, there is no way I can pick up, and be back to start the project today.
I cancelled the order, and tomorrow drive farther away to shop at Home Depot.
Get your heads out of the sand and send in some under cover managers to stores to experience this lack of inventory, and customer service first hand. Or - this time next year you'll be wondering what happened to profits you reaped during this time for a golden opportunity to make money AND make happy customers.
