"I recently wrote a critical review of FLIR Lorex. After years of terrible customer support, FLIR Lorex support has improved. Although there remains long wait times and multiple phone calls, once my issue was elevated, customer service responded within 5 days. Thank you; as in the past it has taken weeks. I received replacement equipment that works and am very happy with the current Lorex products. If Lorex could streamline the telephone process, improve the quality of the outsourced call center personnel, and provide a support response not requiring extended hold times, they would have made a huge leap in customer support. Much improved over what I have experienced in the past. In revisiting my earlier review: FLIR Lorex customer service is getting better."
"Recently replaced my wireless Lorex camera system with a newer version purchased directly from Lorex. One of the receivers came out of the box bad. Started the customer support process to discover that customer support is terrible. I was hoping that since FLIR bought Lorex that customer service had improved. My experience with customer service on my previous Lorex system was terrible, and it remains so. Literally hours spent on hold, conflicting information, out-sourced reps that are very difficult to understand, and no progress on my ticket. A very simple solution: exchange receivers - but not with Lorex customer service: a morass of phone calls and hours holding to be told to wait another "5 business days". I like the Lorex camera system when it works, but have a problem and you are on your own. I wont be buying Lorex again."

"Model LHD44. Easy setup straight from the box. Cameras show vivid colors with the 720p. Just run the wires for the cameras hook everything together and power it up. Cant get any easier. Love the night vision picks up everything even in low to no light in the background. The setup for tablet and phone just as easy. Download the Flir app. Scan the bar code and you are able to view from anywhere. I would recommend this to all my friends. Will keep an eye on these guys in the future for any new deals. Love it :) "
"I am currently running the 8-Channel HD home security system with 6 weatherproof HD IP cameras (HDIP833W) and I have got to say it's a great camera system. Paired with the Flir Cloud apps for computers and mobile devices, you can keep tabs on all of your cameras from wherever you have an internet connection. The quality of the cameras is awesome, true 1080p HD. Don't waste your time with cheaper cameras that are less than 1080 HD. Would you rather see a clear, crisp picture from your camera? or a pixelated collage of who knows what?
During setup, I also had to contact customer service. I wasn't reading the device number correctly and which was preventing me from correctly setting up my Flir Cloud Desktop app. A few minutes of help and I was up and running. Very friendly, fast and efficient!"
"System arrived quickly and the product is a great solid build. Tamper proof connections and well supplied to install without having to buy anything else.
Picture quality is fantastic. what was most amazing is the night vision coverage. The view in my application looks as if a flood light is on and I can see my protect zones completely.
I have a competing product I moved to a lesser role, had 3x more IT LED's but did not come close to the brightness with Lorex Cameras.

"So i purchased the security camera system from costco. The ptz rotating camera gave me problems after 6 months resetting itself constantly sounding the alarm on the dvr, this was in 2013 so before Flir became part of lorex. The Tech support was not at all up to business standards. It took a few years but they seem to be getting a good hold of things.
Technology always has its problems so you want a company that will be able to assist those issues"
"Purchased the Lorex LW1740 two cameras and receiver wireless system. understanding the on-screen display and navigating the main menu screen were very easy. Installing the cameras and receiver were easy to understand. Mounted one camera at the front door and one at the back door THIS IS MONEY WELL SPENT."
"Lorex makes great cameras and DVR systems. The image quality is great and looks amazing on my LED TV. System has dual outputs, so makes it convenient to run a small computer monitor as well as an HDMI output for large flatscreen. "

"Product is awesome for the price. Pictures are clear and crisp. Only drawback with this model is the two inputs necessary versus the POE options. But for the price 6 cams and HD DVR was well worth the price difference.
System has been running flawlessy for the past 2 months continually and has had no hiccups. Hard drive spinning is a little annoying and somewhat loud but manageable.
Overall, excellent performance and price point.

"I replaced two Lorex 8 channel Analog 960H digital video recorders with a single 1080P HD system with 16 channels. All my existing LOREX 960H cameras my LOREX 720 -360degree camera and LOREX 1080P HD cameras work with this receiver via existing RG cable and standard BNC connectors. I have several cameras at 600+ feet from the house around my property and the quality is unimpaired. The night view of my IR capable cameras is of good quality in the illuminated area. The interface to viewing a single or cluster of cameras, setting up recording or color corrections, and quickly reviewing/saving video from any channel is intuitive/relatively simple. I am also looking forward to getting my system to Pan Tilt and Zoom my capable cameras over the single existing RG cable. The FLIR Cloud web app lets me securely look at any of my cameras or cluster of cameras. This is my third surveillance system to be installed here and by far the easiest upgrade I have had."
