Bad Customer service

"The savings are not worth it. Customer service ****! Was told by CS that ski + bindings had to be ordered together to be mounted. Did that, sent a message with the order that I wanted to have them installed. Message was ignored and skis/ binding were shipped separate. Called CS again and they were not helpful, said nothing they could do. "

Not very helpful

"I bought a snowboard package that included boots and bindings which were not compatible with the board. Fortunately I can return all of it but will have to eat the return shipping cost. Waste of time and money!"

Terrible customer service and misleading website

"Their online store can't properly manage their inventory and they sell products they do not actually have in stock. Further, their staff will then mail you a different size or similar product to what you ordered. When you try to exchange the incorrect product for the actual product you ordered, which was on sale, they will tell you they cannot honor the sale price anymore and the best they can do is offer you a discount. There are too many online retailers available to waste your time and money with Level Nine. Backcountry, REI, etc. have far superior customer service. "

Beware! Deceptive Picture!

"Deceptive picture on site! I bought "DEFIANCE FLASH W/ ADJUSTABLE BINDINGS RED JUNIOR SKIS 2022 COMPLETE PACKAGE". The picture shows there are 3 buckles, and the boots(19-22") I got only had 2 buckles, and it's very uncomfortable, hurting feet. I can't return it because it has been worn once! I will file a complaint to the State Department of Consumer Affairs, hope it helps."

Bad customer Service & will try to cheat

"Ordered skis from Level 9 Sports. Received a different product. Instead of apologizing the customer rep on the phone got angry at me for asking why was I sent a different model of skis.. Be aware - it takes 2 weeks to receive an order from these guys and then it is your fault they sent you a different product. They will charge you and then they will offer you to return product back to them. If you're in a mood for sending back your orders - this is the exact place for you. Good luck. "

Misleading pricing

"Sale items show as being, X% off, but that's based on a ridiculously inflated "regular" price for last year's gear.

For example, just today (Feb 2021) a pair of 2020 Elan Ripstick skiis caught my eye because they were 47% off. But that was based on a $900 regular price. The actual MSRP for the ski was $650.

Misleading information on website

"I’m exceptionally disappointed with the quality of service offered by L9 Sports. I ordered ski poles online and the website indicated 1-2 day delivery. Having not heard anything for several days after placing my order I contacted the company several time before receiving a response. I was then told I would receive my order in 1-2 days. It has been another week and I still have not received my poles. I have asked for a refund, because I had to buy the poles elsewhere, for which they have refused to provide. The website is advertising inaccurate information. I strongly advise that you order elsewhere if you would like your items to arrive."

"Purchased a ski helmet 1.5 months before Christmas. It didn’t arrive until January 2nd. Other gear purchased from REI and Backcountry arrived within 3 business days without me even paying expedited shipping.

Terrible experience

"Unless you know exactly what you want don't buy from here. I read a fantastic existing BS review. that tricked me into buying skis that are only good for perfectly groomed terrain. Even though the description stated all terrain. I phoned and emailed looking for help...this was my reply.

We are sorry to hear you are having a hard time with your new skis. The "ability level" of the skis can really vary from review to review and site to site because it is somewhat opinionated. I would considered those skis solid intermediate level carving ski. They do have a 76mm waist width so they really aren't designed for powder or deep snow conditions, but mainly for groomed hard packed trails. Skiing on a new pair of skis can take some time get used to, especially if you are coming off an old style ski with less modern technology. Unfortunately since they are used you can no longer return them for a refund or a credit. Let us know if you have any other questions.

deceiving practice

"deceiving practice. Bought POC sunglasses. received sunglasses in unmarked box, no sleeve, no cleaning cloth, no label. Nothing stated on the item description on L9 about the exclusion of these basic items. However, L9 refused to pay for return shipping and insisted that the omission on the description implies an absence of these basic items otherwise always included with classes purchase. will not buy from L9 again, as now I am not sure of receiving what is stated and therefore expected. "

Bait & Switch

"Sold me a product online that was out of stock. Two days after the purchase I was sent a text like email informing me they could not fill the order. Instead of canceling the credit card transaction when they found the errror, they tried to strong-arm me in to a different product. I refused and asked to have the order canceled. They charged my credit card 5 days after the transaction and 3 days after the order was “canceled.” The day my card was charged I found that the out of stock discounted product was back up on the website. I called CS to inquire and wasn’t give an answer that explained anything. Level Nine Sports took my money and still hasn’t issued a refund on something I wasn’t even able to purchase."
