"I ordered a pair of progressives. I was called after a few days and told I should upgrade the lenses with my prescription and agreed.The purchase and shopping time were fine. I tried the glasses on almost immediately and could not see anything through the lower (reading) portion. I contacted them the next day. The rep said sometime the lens upgrade treatment caused this. They sent me to an optician to have them read the prescription, which read correctly. This optician said the problem was not uncommon. Called them back and they asked me to go get another eye exam. Too much to ask for a $118 pair of glasses, I I'll take the loss and scratch them off my list. I have ordered glasses online numerous time and never had a problem.
All this is within their return period. They would not give a return authorization, only a run-around."
"Lens Direct is horrible. I spent $419 for new lenses and they took two months to complete the order - June 2-August 9. They scratched the new lenses when they attached them to the frame. Okay, mistakes happen but they never messaged me about the problem. They never updated me on how long the order would take. I had to chase after them every week. The only consolation they gave me was two-day shipping when sending me the order. If you think you will save time and money by going to Lens Direct, think again."

" I sent new frames in for lens placement with proper input given at the site, it took 4 weeks, thought it was a scam site because of deadlinks, and non-working phone numbers listed on the website. Long story short, after various complaints, glasses were received back with what appears to be intentional breakage from staff: the temple outer plastic was cracked on both sides, left and right, and was stretched out beyond repair. I attempted to contact staff, but there has been no response as of yet, and this after having to navigate through several dead links."

"HAD LENES MADE: LAB WORK making of my glasses, NOT GREAT but CLUMSY workmen ship. I sent 2 NEW plastic frames to them, one I had them make lenses for and they are tight but feel loose frame. The 2nd eyeglass frame was NOT returned in the condition as they were sent. There handled of then was NOT good and was missing parts. The Customer service who I talked with all about this mess, MEH nothing gained except monny wasted. "

"I was on a budget and needed a new pair of lenses in a frame. I took it to Walmart 1st out of convenience but the lenses they had were awful and warped my field of vision. They insisted it was the prescription but I just knew different. So I got a refund from them and decided to try lens direct. not only was the price way better, but I got more for my money and I was right about my hunch bc the glasses that lens direct did were perfect for me! It's not always true that paying more means getting more. In this case, I paid less and got way more!"
"I've been getting contact lenses from Lensdirect for the last few years. Recently I had a change in my prescription but already had an auto refill order in the system. I was able to call in and have them update my prescription. Quicky and easy."

"Back at the beginning of April, I had just gotten a new eye glass prescription and needed some new frames, so I saw an advert for Lens Direct and tried them out. I can say that with a few quick options my order was complete. Sent it out and got it back in just a few days. Absolutely LOVE the CoCo frames. 10/10 will definitely be ordering again!!"
"Lens Direct made someone else’s glasses in my personal, new, $350 frames. These frames have since been mailed to another customer. It has been over two months and the last email I got said they are discussing with this customer to get my frames back. I’m not wearing used frames. Lens Direct has only offered a cheap pair of their glasses as I assume some pitiful restitution? Not going to fly. I may never get my money back but I will make sure that at least $350 worth of business goes somewhere else. Find literally any other company to make your lenses if you ever want to see your glasses again"
"I have a set of prescription reading glasses +1.5 I got from my Dr. office. I have normal plastic lenses. I wanted to swap these lenses for Trivex lenses with blue blocking and scratch resistance since I stare at a computer screen all day. Their website seemed fairly easy enough. I chose single vision/reading and then copy current lenses.
Their customer service folks cancelled my order. They stated I need to just choose reading glasses. Which according to their own site that is normal over the counter glasses which mine are not.
I don't know why they have the option to choose copy lens if they do not have the capability to do that. In the end my reading glasses where to complicated for them. If they can't handle simple reading glasses do you really want to trust your vision with them."
"I ordered replacement lenses online for my original eyeglass frames. My frame was broken when the lenses I ordered arrived. Exactly, the right hinge part was broken. So I contacted the customer center, and they said they would refund the price of the lens I ordered without compensation for my frame. Obviously, even though my frame was broken due to their fault, their compensation policy only compensates for the lenses I ordered. Beware of those looking to order lenses through this company. They don't want to take responsibility for their mistakes.
