"*Please do NOT make my comment public for online review*Other than my answer provided in Question 30 and 44, my other concern is that there seems to be a lack of communication between the first shift teachers and the afternoon shift teachers. I've often provided the morning teachers with information or instructions that the afternoon teachers say they were not made aware of. Also, I am concerned that some activities (for example: feeding at high chair, tummy time) which should only be done with a caregiver present right next to infant are being done without a caregiver stationed right next to baby watching them closely. I am especially concerned regarding the babies who self-feed, because choking is something that is often silent and there really should be a teacher stationed directly in front of self-feeding infants for the entire duration of their feeding session. The teachers shouldn't just keeping an eye on the self-feeding babies while they tend to other tasks elsewhere in the room. Lastly, there seems to be a lot of trip hazards with toys strewn about. I understand that babies make a mess, but I am worried about teachers tripping over a toy and then falling with baby in hand. Lastly, the entryway, hallway, windows, doors of the facility constantly look grimy and in need of a cleaning and vacuuming. It leaves a bad first impression. When that's the first thing the public/parents see, and makes me question the cleanliness state of everything else I can't see. The teachers are very nuturing and attentive. I like that they all have education degrees. The director is very warm, loving, and professional. This place has the potential to go from a good to great if extra support is given to its staff."

"We switched from a different daycare because we felt our child was not getting adequate attention. After that whole experience, I couldn’t be more pleased with La Petite. The atmosphere is infinitely more professional, nurturing and just over all pleasant. The staff always seem to be smiling. And my daughter is so much happier than she was at her previous daycare. I used to dread taking her to daycare, but now that she’s at La Petite I feel totally at ease when I drop her off at daycare because I know she’s in great hands."

"Over the 3 years that we’ve had our daughters enrolled we’ve grown to care for the staff members as though they are family. They care for my children with love and compassion. They are an amazing team and they give their all to the children’s day families. When my daughter started taking her first steps they made sure I didn’t miss it. Rather than telling me when I picked up they took video and sent it to me at work. It warmed my heart and truly showed that they are willing to go the extra mile for their families. I highly recommend LaPetite to all my friends. Chester branch rocks!!!"

"Until recently we had a wonderful experience at LaPetite. We started at LaPetite in August 2013 and feel that the long time LaPetite staff members are part of our family. We are saddened by the recent changes and greatly miss the director (Jessica M) and assistant director (Jessica L). We still have great respect and love for many of the teachers, but know that they are not given the support, training, and consistency needed to provide the previous level of care. We understand that the new assistant director is trying her best, but unfortunately it will take time for the same level of care to be restored. We can’t say enough what a complete shame it was for LaPetite to let the previous director and assistant director go. We will seek more consistent care and better education at another preschool for our 3 year old daughter. We are sad to leave our LaPetite family, but know that we cannot make sacrifices in the care and education of our daughters."

"It's been a roller coaster. We were quite pleased when we started and the director that recruited us was there. After the assistant director was promoted, our displeasure started and continued to grow. It wasn't until after she was terminated that we found out how bad it really was. We were hesitant to trust the process with the new director, but have so far been pleased with the process."

But I feel that the activities for my child aren't very organized, and there's just a lot of activities which don't require too much supervision. She is doing some learning, but I think it just isn't enough."

We really appreciate the input on how our little one is doing, and the app that sends pictures of her is a lovely touch (I also find it easier to communicate this way than old-fashioned paper sheets). Some of the details (e.g. center providing diapers and always being willing to handle blow-outs that seem to happen in the car) have made life so much easier.Our overall experience has been wonderful."

"I was very annoyed that I was quoted a significantly lower rate on the phone than the actual rate for flex care. I was told on the phone both my three and six-year-old could go for flex care and each five day card was $179 per child. When I arrived for my tour I was informed that was incorrect and they would only take my three-year-old, not my 6 yr old and it was roughly $309 for a five day card. It was a waste of time and my hour round-trip drive."

Our only frustration is the often last-minute and sometimes unprofessional communication to parents about events that require some preparation. (For example: learning about the Christmas program 3 days prior)"

"I have had an overall great impression. I have, however, noticed that sometimes information is incomplete regarding my daughter's nap time or the amount of bottle she had, which is very relevant to what she may need when she gets home. I also find that sometimes teachers there at pick up are not knowledgeable about her progress throughout the day, which I can understand. A little more communication between the teachers would be reassuring though. For instance, one teacher was unaware I had told the morning teacher the day before about a serious diaper rash, and it was a little disconcerning to know it may not have been known by all teachers."
