"Made an order on the website and never received and order confirmation. I looked up my order (the same day) and it showed the order had been canceled. (Not by me.) I sent an email and didn’t hear anything back. I sent a second email to another address I found. Still nothing. I finally called customer support and the guy explained my order had been cancelled as soon as I made it because it wasn’t in stock at the right warehouse. Instead of an email confirmation of the order, how about a cancel confirmation. I wasted so much time waiting when I could have been finding and ordering the item from another company. If the stars align, you might find some good deal here. But for an online store, they need more communication with their customers. Or to just keep their website updated with the inventory they actually have. "

"I searched for price comparison for a fire/rescue tool called a spanner wrench multi tool. I found a listing for this product on Katerno.com. I then saw the item picture and the description and it all seemed good. There were no options to select for the product just a good old fashioned Buy Now button. I bought the item and it was delivered in just a few days. However, it was a much different item than I ordered and not the item in the picture. It was a window punch made by the same manufacturer. Assuming that it was just an order fulfillment mistake I informed Katerno customer service. The response was that i received exactly what I ordered and they referred to a cryptic product name Res-Q-Me - RST1BR. They then explained that deeper in the description the description refers to the product I received and by connection of this reference to the name, I ordered. This is the description: "Multi-Purpose Rescue Tools are a must-have for service techs and first responders. The Res-Q-Rench is five tools in one - universal spanner, pry tool, window punch, seat belt cutter, and gas shutoff. Smaller than the Res-Q-Rench but just as effective, the Res-Q-Me easily shatters tempered glass and cuts through safety belts in seconds." after sending them back their order and shipping confirm. emails with the spanner wrench (ResQ Rench) pictured. They still told me I ordered the wrong item, the ResQ Me. I then asked for them to at least acknowledge that it was a misleading product page and they still told me that I got what I ordered.
DO NOT buy anything from Katerno.com. They have horrible customer service and refuse to accept that the customer is right, even with proof."
"Use caution when using this site. If it is something you need I would order elseware. I place a small order to try them out and it took over a week just to get the warehouse to place the order then it never shipped. I called customer service and they said it was a FedEx problem that they did not scan the label. This is nonsense. I called again and had them cancle the original order and reship the product. They said that they did and were going to use the same tracking info. Still the product did not move. After several phone calls and over 3 weeks, I had to have them refund my money and use another supplier. I ship and receive regularly and have notified all my other suppliers and friends to never use Katerno again. I am also considering reporting them to the BBB. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any online purchase. Take your business elseware."
"After losing an ebay auction for a dual screen philips portable dvd player I thought it would be impossible to ever approach such a low price---Katerno beat it! They promptly shipped me a brand new player (everything in original packaging even) with their "open box" price. Some of the reviews here have been way harsh--it's a great company. They say on the site they won't charge you until the inventory is confirmed...very user friendly."
"When ordering from Katerno's online store, there was an issue with the address linked to my card. Katerno's Customer Service personally sent me an e-mail, I provided two possible addresses, they told me which one worked, for future reference, and kindly replied to EVERY single question I asked.
The ONLY downside to the purchase was the USPS cost of shipping, which isn't under Katerno's control.
Overall, I can't remember the last time that an online store has provided such brilliant service. Every single step was easy, fast and efficient."
"An absolute joke. I ordered an open box item that was in horrible condition. The subwoofer didn't work and everything was scratched up and very dirty. It looks like it has been used for years. Unfortunately I was painting my office and didn't even open it until after their 10 day return policy. I will literally be throwing this away now. I know open box can mean some minor scratches and damage but having things not work and be in as bad of shape as they are is ridiculous. The item should not have been "open box" at all. It should have been "used" with notes about the damage and broken sub. Seriously displeased..."

I ordered a product that they claimed to have in stock, and with no response after several business days I call them and they say they don't have it. I relied on them to get me this product by a deadline and they not only failed to send me the product, but they failed to even let me know they would not be sending it. I will forever avoid Katerno.com and recommend everyone do the same. Terrible business ethics. DO NOT TRUST!!!!!"
"I have been in the technology reseller business for 20 years. I always look for the best price, and often it is at the expense of good customer service. The way Katerno has treated my situation (some parts of a toolkit were faulty) amazes me. Not only was their price the best on this product (which I buy on a regular basis), their handling of this RMA goes way beyond what I was expecting from a 'cut-rate' supplier. |Katerno's willingness to take back a part of tool kit and not require me to return the whole kit was wonderful. Plus, they got me the replacements very quickly, had tested them before sending them out, and even paid for return shipping! Since these are used for a class I teach on computer repair, it was imperative that I get them before the class was over, and they made it by three days!
Needless to say, Katerno will now be my first supplier I check! Thanks for a great experience, and look forward to many years of business with them!

I found what I was looking for 30% cheaper! I came here read the good and the bad, but I had a good gut feeling and tried them anyway...Wow quick e-mail with a receipt for my order, then another once the item was shipped. I received my item in brand new packaging, unopened.
Bottom Line: I will consider them in my future on-line shopping."
