Dead crickets on arrival and no guarantee

"I ordered 500 crickets and about 100 were alive on arrival. I contacted Joshs frogs, sent pics of what they sent and they ultimately advised it was too hot and they would not cover it under their guarantee. They packed a heat pack in with the crickets!! How is that my fault? So much for gaining any new customers!"

Wonderful Service!

"I bought 60 gutloaded 3/4 crickets and they look amazing! They came in a container with 4 pieces of egg crate and food. All the crickets were alive and doing well. I also ordered 500 count mealsworms which looked good. I live in Northern MN with very low temps so I was worried about them dying. They put these really nice heatpacks in the box and wrap it and stuff it with paper. They only ship above a certain temp and below 95 degrees. I got my order in 3 days with the shipping price of $10.42. My order total was $31 and some change. I will continue to order through them for sure! I hope the quality continues to be this good. "

Terrible Experience

"I ordered 8oz springtails and 25 dwarf white isopods on the 19th. Two containers arrived on the 24th: one was marked springtails and contained an excellent culture of springtails. The other was marked for the isopods but contained only dirt. This was on Friday. I called them during normal business hours several times but it only went straight to voicemail. Finally, I just emailed them. They responded on Monday by calling me and asking to send pictures before they'll send any replacements. At this point I was already at work for the day and wouldn't be home until after they close. I'm two time zones behind them. It is now Tuesday (4 days later after trying to contact them) and they have still yet to fulfill my order. Today is the 28th. I ordered on the 19th. It's going to be at least a few more days before I receive my isopods."

Ant Infested Crickets

"My order of 1/2 inch crickets were barely larger than pinheads. My son worked hours on creating a habitat for crickets only to be devastated when immediately upon delivery emptying the ant infested box of crickets into the new habitat thereby infesting said new habitat with ants. "Customer Service" will not correct the problem without my sending pictures (because I'm lying?) despite my already informing them that I am out of town and not able to do so. 1st and last order. Also the other items ordered have not even shipped yet. "

Extreme shipping prices

"I haven’t yet received my very first order yet. But my experience so far hasn’t been the greatest. The price of crickets is a good deal but you get charged an arm and a leg for normal shipping. I thought 15$ for shipping on my cricket purchase would mean I would get
Them the next day. That is not the case at all. It’s 4-5 business days. For 32$ it’s not worth me buying from them. It’s a shame they have to charge that much. Very disappointed. Hoping the 1 and only shipment I’m waiting on will be worth it. Now in the mean time I need to buy some crickets from my local feed store since I won’t get mine for another 4-5 days.

They only guarantee the plant is shipped properly, not that it is healthy and will live.

"The plant I received was packaged ok, and I planted it immediately upon arrival. Two days later one of the leaves started to shrivel, and within about 8 days the entire plant was dead. I have many houseplants and consider myself to have a green thumb. They would not refund or replace the plant since I did not photograph it upon arrival (which it looked fine upon arrival anyway, so this wouldn't have mattered). Also there was no invoice in the package, or packing slip of any kind. Reputable nurseries guarantee their plants to live for more than a week. "

"I bought 200 superworms and they arrived dead and rotting. The entire box stunk, and the liquid they were shipped with had spilled and soaked everything. Due to the fact that I didn’t take any pictures of 200 rotting bugs, instead of telling me Id be unavailable for refund or replacement (which Id be fine with, I understand they can’t trust a story with no proof), they didn’t even have the decency to email me back stating why, they simply shut the support down and asked me for my opinion on how “well” they did. This was my first purchase, and i definitely won’t be buying from them again. "

Springtails arrived dead and did not have many in the culture

"I ordered the springtails from Joshs Frogs and they arrived quickly to the address provided, but the springtails were all dead and didn’t have as many as I received when I ordered from Glass Box Tropicals. I contacted the help center and they agreed to send me another shipment, but they also arrived dead and again, not many in the culture. I will be continuing my business with Glass Box Tropicals after this experience. "

Horrible worst place

"The most horrible place i ever payed for. The crickets ended up dead and squished in a box. Barely any cardboard. They didnt ship the box out that they was going to make up for it. A box of 1000 crickets i paid 40 dollars. Didnt get any yet said that id get my box on saturday and now its monday and still no box. Dont ever answer emails. Horrible place i dont reccomend"

Not worth the money.

"I ordered 250 1/8" banded crickets as food for my smaller geckos. The shipping cost was outrageous first of all, costing more than the product. By the time the product arrived the crickets had been sealed in their cardboard tube (according to label on the end) for a week exactly. When I opened the package I had only five or so live crickets. There was no food for the crickets in the tube! I would rather drive the seventy miles to the nearest pet supply store twice a week than ever order from these incompetent people ever again. "

"Ordered 2000 crickets and 1/2 of them were dead. Spent almost as much on 2 day shipping as I did on the products and it arrived 8 days later.... granted my first experience wasn’t like this everything was alive when it arrived. Shipping cost is absolutely outrageous. Won’t be ordering from here again"
