"I am writing this review because I am absolutely horrified by the experience I have had with this website! I ordered fleece fabric...4 different patterns...2 yards each. What I ordered and what I received are two very, very different things!!!
I opened the box to find a small-font note that said due to the fabric being out of stock, I was receiving ONE yard instead of two of 2 out of 4 patterns. Why even bother sending it to me when it was not what I ordered?! I had ordered 2 yards (not one!) for a reason!!! I was making blankets and couldn't do anything with the one yard of material they had sent me.
The 3rd fabric was the wrong color.
The 4th fabric had a large-font note in it saying "bonus yardage included!!!" It said that since there was a little more than 2 yards on the bolt, they included it. Again, I had ordered exactly 2 yards for a reason! Had I wanted more, I would have ordered it that way. Therefore I had to make extra cuts while making that blanket.

I will never again in my life order from this website. I will only buy material in store. My online experience was terrible and I seriously hope people read all the reviews on here and do not give them your money!

"Leaving a review here cause there's no where to leave a review on their website... I love Joann's store when I can physically go in, get help from a worker and buy something but www.joann.com is the WORST site I have ever ordered from!!!! I ordered a bunch of yarn because I am making scarfs to raise funds for a volunteer trip. I received a bunch of orders and headed to the Joann website and made my order... An entire week went by before I finally received an email that said I would ONLY RECEIVE A QUARTER of the stuff I ordered. (Keep in mind it was only suppose to take 1-3 days to process my order, I only ordered yarn so no additional time should have applied) Everything was in stock at the time I ordered and I went back on their website the day I received the email and none of the stuff I ordered was marked "out of stock". So either Joann's lied to me about the availability of their product or they are falsely advertising what they have in stock! I sent an email back to there customer service department a week ago and still have yet to receive a response. Their automatic reply message said I would hear from someone within 24 hours. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLINE. TERRIBLE website to order from, I would NEVER recommend anyone shop on their website. I love the Joann store we have in town and the people that work there are amazing, but because of this issue it's made me not want to support Joann... I will be making my purchases elsewhere as much as possible. Hopefully when they get enough bad feedback they will make some changes!!! Also, I ended up going to Michaels and purchasing all of my yarn there! They had a WAY better selection, more in stock and an awesome deal going on!

"I recently submitted a request for a donation of yarn for my classroom as we are making hats for the Children's Hospital. When I called to check the status of my letter request the manager reported that I had to go to cooperate. Once I went to cooperate, there was an entire process/ application process to go through. I simply wanted a few spools of yarn for my special education class to make a few winter hats. I am very disappointed in the manager I spoke to at the store in addition to the policy. "

"I just spent 40 minutes of my day, that I should really not have spent online, putting fabric into the cart. I go to check out and the cart which said it had all the items BEFORE I clicked 'checkout', changed to EMPTY! WTH???
This is the worst web site I've ever encountered.

"I am a HUGE fan of Joann's. This store always has great sales, promotional sales and stock. Extremly friendly sales folks. I have been shopping Joann's for years and years, and have never had an issue. Give me another 40% off discount coupon, and I am shopping again!"

"I had ordered 5 yards of satin fabric I needed for a gown, in addition to a couple yards of trim and chiffon/etc. Obviously the Satin being the main fabric I needed.

Upon placing the order I find out that my trim and chiffon shipped fine and separately. The next day I receive an email that my Satin order was canceled due to it being out of stock? Seriously? Why couldn't the entire order be held and contacted. Why was the product still listed if out of stock?

But I thought, that's okay. Things like this happen, they're a big business it may be just a one off scenario. (Obviously from these reviews it's not). So I sent an email to their customer service. 1 day.. 2day.. nope 5 days before I got a response (In fairness I did not call, but really should I expect less than 24 hours response?)

And the response I get essentially stated that I should call their customer service line and that the satin I ordered is back in stock. REALLY?! Why not put it on a back order? This was a total and complete waste of 2 weeks and set my plans back.

I would definitely not recommend Joanns and there are numerous of other online fabric stores to choose from, that I will be going to next.

"My first JoAnn's online experience was less than stellar! It took them five days to ship and then tell me half of what I ordered was not in stock.
Even though the closest store is 45 minutes away from me, I will take my chances shopping at the store...although, they cut so short that by the time I straighten the fabric a yard is only about 34 inches:(

"There was a "free shipping orders $25 and more" thing going on the website, so I decided to buy some items to create jewelry. The website is amazing for me to find what I need and really neat looking. Their customer service is pretty nice (took a while to respond though) but their shipping/processing is SO SLOW.
I placed an order on 8/2/14 . Five days later, I finally get billed and an email saying they've just shipped my order. It took them five days JUST process, and now my order is predicted to come 8/14/14. So all in all, it takes me 12 days of waiting. Worst thing yet, they tell me two of my items have been "canceled" because it's out of stock. They didn't charge me for it but I won't receive the item anyways.
It's really easy to shop online from them, but they have really slow shipping and the canceled order thing is really annoying.

I visited the store today and bought a different brand of the items I needed (to make up for what they canceled) , but the workers there were really helpful and nice. They even greeted us when they passed by to fix an aisle.

"I wish I had read these reviews before placing my order. I ordered 2 of the same item (7/14/14), and the website stated it was in stock. When I received the package, several days later, I was surprised that only one arrived, with a note stating that the other one was out of stock. So I looked online to see if the local JoAnn's had any and the site stated 2 were in stock. So I went to the store and they didn't have it (7/20/14), but stated online they have 28 - REALLY?! Also, as of today (7/25/14) the in-store inventory STILL says they have 2. So I ordered another one online and then they shipped my order to the wrong place due to a glitch in their system. When I contacted customer service about it the second time, the rep. placed an order for me at no charge and stated that I would get it by Saturday in time for a birthday party that my daughter is attending. Well, today I was told that I wouldn't get it until Tuesday. So after multiple conversations/emails to customer service I still don't have my item and now I have to scramble to find something else the day before the party. To add insult to injury the UPS guy is coming to my house because JoAnn mistakenly told them that I have a package that I need to return. What a nightmare...."

"Where do I even begin?
My package arrived ripped to shreds to the point where my UPS delivery driver was able to look inside to see the contents.
Strike Number One.
I recieved a product that was far different from what I wanted.
Strike Number Two.
When I spoke to customer service, they were rude, and since I have sent the bolt back, I have heard absolutely NOTHING from them. Not only that, but my customer service representative said she was leaving the company tomorrow. Wow, that makes me feel good about how hard you're going to try to make my life better!
Strike Three.
Not only that, but they have refused to expedite this process so I can get my items on time for my project to be done. They have not given me a timeline when I can expect my items. They have not told me ANYTHING about the the items I am expected to get.
This has been my worst experience shopping online EVER.
I am more than happy to change this review, provided that they can remedy the situation, but I don't know that they will even care enough to!

"Without fail.. seriously every order ..they hold money on your credit card.. then usually after the sale is over send you a oh hey we are so sorry but we over sold and don't actually have this product.. but don't worry the hold on your funds will expire in 3-5 business days.
Today they billed my card for a partial amount of my order.. then sent a cancellation notice of the order!
Then as if to add insult to injury if you go to the site it will allow you to purchase the same fabric in the same amount!!

"I absolutely will never order from joann.com ever again.

I ordered 10 yards of sale fabric at 99 cents a yard and 1 other small item during a free shipping promo. After 7 days, the small item finally shipped. After 8 days, they finally notified me that the fabric was out of stock and therefore cancelled. I checked the website on both the 7th and 8th day and the fabric did not show up as out of stock. I contacted their customer service twice about this and each time it took 3 days to get a response. Their explanation for the website inconsistency with the cancellation email is that the fabric was out of stock when my order was processed but is no longer out of stock -- how does that make any sense if it was never out of stock on the website?? My guess as to the real reason behind the cancellation is that they didn't want to ship 10 yards of fabric to me because it's relatively large and heavy and the shipping would cost them more than what I paid for the fabric.

Also, joann.com continues to send me spam even though I have already unsubscribed to their mails.

"Useless, useless, useless. I ordered items on Cyber Monday, Dec. 2nd, to be used for an art class on Dec. 13th. The JoAnn site said 3-8 business days for shipping, which would get the items to me by Thursday, the 12th. However, I just received tracking info that my items will arrive Saturday, Dec. 14th. I can't change or cancel my order. I'm going over to Michaels to buy my items and sign up for their bonus program, as I will not shop with JoAnn.com again."
