Lack of communication

"I ordered an ice maker on a Friday; I was told the unit would be delivered within 4 or 5 business days. So the following Friday was the day that I was told I could expect the unit to arrive. I was also told that I would be receiving the tracking information. I didn't receive any tracking information for a number of days. So I called the company to find out the status. It wasn't until I called the company that I found out that the unit I ordered was out of stock. Frustrated, I asked why I wasn't told this information. The woman on the phone literally told me that, "we don't have the personnel to call every single customer when an item is out of stock. Items go out of stock often and we simply can't call everyone to let them know that." That comment ended up turning the conversation into an argument between the two of us. Midway through the call, she stopped me to apologize for how the conversation was going...I then apologized for my part of the converstation. The call ended with her telling me that the unit wouldn't arrive for 2 to 3 weeks.

Turns out, the unit arrived on MONDAY of the following week (not the 2 or 3 weeks that I was told). The reason this is important is because Monday is my off day and I was not available to receive the item when it was delivered. I was told (by the orignal salesman on the original phone call) that I would be notified when the unit was to be delivered so that I could be prepared to receive it.

My experience was not exceptional

"When you order a product from a company and pay for it, THEN you receive an email a day later stating the item is back-ordered, it does not appear the company is top-notch. After waiting an extra week or so, the item was delivered in good condition."

It has been a month and still no ice...

"My ice maker shipped on 8/30 and arrived just a few days later. The installer came out to install it. The installer tells us that this ice maker needs a pump in order to work. I did not know that; nobody ever told me that. A pump will be a few hundred dollars more. So we ordered a new pump from JES. The installer came back to install it. All done, right? The new ice machine made ice for 4 hours. Then it shut down. Need to get the installer back to see what the problem is. The problem is that a part had burned out. In less than one day. The installer says the burned out part looks old. Like it may be a used part. But I paid for a new ice machine. So now the installer has to order a new part from JES. It is now 10/1. It has been more than a month since I paid a few thousand dollars for an ice machine and a pump. But I still have no ice. "

Never again

"At least 5 times I talked to sales about a receipt- never got it, by paper or email. They gave me shipping time of 5 days. Never told me it also takes 5 days to have the order processed at the factory = 10 day till I got it, not 5.
My customer was very unhappy.
