"I sent my VHS tapes to iMemories in the box they supplied. After my tapes were converted online, I was notified through email that my originals were being shipped back and was given a delivery date. When my originals arrived at my house, I received notification they have arrived.
The weather was extremely bad that day and It had rained all day. When they arrived, the postal carrier left the box just at the entrance of my garage.
Before I could get home from work, my wife called and said she just got home and the entire box was soaking wet to the point it was about to come apart.
I know I just had them digitally uploaded, but I was so worried that I lost my original tapes.
When I got home, I called iMemories and spoke with one of their representatives. I explained the situation to her and she replied that she was sorry. She then asked have I opened the box up yet. I told her "no, not yet".
She stated that iMemories specially package their tapes very well when they send them back to the original owners just in case incident like this should happen.
I told her I would open the box and give them a call back if my tapes were wet or destroyed.
Well, I opened the box and discovered that all my tapes were securly packaged in plastic ziplock style bags and were dry as the Mojave Desert! They were not even damaged at all by the weather!
Needless to say, I didn't need to call the representative back that day!
So I give iMemories "5 Stars" for Excellect Customer Service and PACKAGING!!!"

Turns out 2 of the 5 five tapes have copywrited material, including TPIR, and they can’t be processed. No warning prior to mailing them in, no refund for them not being processed, and no response from customer service about this concern. Add overpriced shipping to get my videos to and from iMemories and pretty much I regret the money spent. "

"I often felt confused about the process. When was payment going to happen, for example? I sent in a camera with a tape in it that I hoped would be extracted, but it wasn't even though I gave permission to break the camera, which was highly disappointing. I was particularly upset that they couldn't have the tapes recycled afterward, but instead, I had to pay $18 further to have everything shipped back to me.
The actual service seems great overall. One tape was very corrupted but I'm sure that wasn't the fault of imemories as these were quite old and had been stored in hot places."
