"Stay away from these jokers. I tried to purchase door levers from these guys. They took my money and then told me the item was discontinued or out of stock. Have not gotten my money back yet. All i can say it buyer beware. Also, customer service wont email me back or return my phone calls. awesome.... NOT"

"like most reviews here, my six items showed up in various frankenstein boxes a two weeks later. customer service did in fact respond or react to my calls or emails, just several days later. it seems this sight is a cooperative of various hardware stores who have banded together to do online order fulfillment. the problem is a lack of real time cohesion among these various members. in my case, an item i ordered one of, they sent me a case. an items they left off the packing slip and billed me for, they later credited, yet they later shipped it anyway. so I ended up with more merchandise than I needed or paid for. what attracted me to idealtruevalue is a $24 clearance price on a $74 pet bed, so even if I had to wait longer, and they had gotten my fulfillment correct, I'd still be happy with them for that single bargain. I think people who order here have to suck it up, give them time, and relax in order to enjoy the bargains buried deep in their parts price list. most other hardware sights will require higher minimum quantity orders, or charge a lot more shipping, so enjoy the bargains here before they tighten up their operations, or go back to full time brick & mortar sales and leave all you cry babies behind."

"I did not find this site until I had placed two orders from Ideal True Value and was worried that I had made a mistake by oerdering from them. The price for parrallel clamps I had ordered was fantastic. Remember the saying, "If it seems to good to be true, it probably isn't."? Well this time I was very pleased to receive my all of my clamps in only 7 days and all in very good condition.

It just goes to show you that unhappy people will complain to anyone and everyone. In this case, I almost feel a responsibility post this favorable review. Very happy. The good prices and prompt delivery are noteworthy.

I placed another order from them. I also referred them to a friend who ordered some of the same clamps I had purchased from them. I will also check with Ideal True value before making any of my future woodworking tool and supply purchases.

"My experience with this site/seller is the WORST compared to the hundreds of other internet transactions, with a hundred different companies, over the years. Avoid Ideal True Value.

Oct. 19: I ordered and provided all the address, credit card info, and pmt made. Ideal emails me 'we will ship as soon as possible'...This is it/all!?

Oct. 22: sent email asking about shipping date, tracking number, importance of this shipment. NO response. Also called...got a store...then got the correct number...left a message...no response.

Oct. 26: sent another email asking again about shipping date, tracking number, 'pls cancel if you do not ship w/i 24 hours'.

Oct. 27: email from Ideal True Value...'will ship tomorrow morning...with tracking number'.

Oct. 28, Noon: still waiting...no shipping info.

What a way to do business! The worst! Wish I had known about/checked this site before ordering.

"DO NOT DO business with this company. I received merchandise that I did not order from them and they charged my credit card through paypal. I spent hours on the phone, and they finally sent a pick up order by FED X and have refused to credit back the charge. They lied to Discover Card people and so Discover card will not do a damn thing. Nice to have to pay (be stuck) for something you did not order. Their customer service people became very rude and basically told me to go to HELL. "

"This is my first time as a customer with Ideal True Value and I must say that it has been a very good experience. I do a lot of online ordering and they have many things that you cannot find anywhere else. Just as the web site stated, my order was shipped in 6 days and delivered in great condition by Fed-Ex. I received a confirmation and tracking e-mail also. Since this was done in such a timely fashion I will be ordering from this company much more in the future!"

"DO NOT ORDER FROM IDEAL TRUVALUE unless you want problems!!!
I ordered some Champion valves on 4/26/2009. My Discover card was billed that day. After 2 EMails I received a reply on 5/13 that they had only a partial quantity in stock. I asked that they ship the 3 valves and cancel my order for the remaining quantity. I expected a credit to my Discover. So far no credit, no response to my EMails. I plan to file complaints with Discover and TruValue Corporate office.
I purchased the remaining valves from acehardware.com The confirmation was immediate as was the shipping information. They even followed up with an EMail to make sure I was satisfied with their service

"Ideal True Value (theIDEALplace) on the Internet is the worst online retailer that I have ever dealt with. Do not place an order with them. They don't confirm your order, answer your emails, or even give you a phone number to contact them. After 14 days of not hearing from them and my numerous unanswered emails about my order, I finally found a telephone number for them ***-***-****. I called and asked why they don't answer their emails. The person answering the phone told me that she doesn't even work in that department and she has no idea why my emails went unanswered. I asked who takes care of emails and asked if I could talk to them. I was told it was the customer service department and that all the lines were busy. I then asked for the status of my order and she asked me for an invoice number. I explained to her that I never received one or anything else from them and that is why I was calling. She then told me to look at my confirmation email. I explained to her that I had just told her that I had never received any emails from them. She then asked for my full name for which I gave her and she found my invoice number and order. She looked up my order and told me that it still had not been shipped (after 14 days). She promised it would be shipped within the next 2 days. I won't be holding my breath waiting. DO NOT SHOP AT IDEAL TRUE VALUE (theIDEALplace). "

"I ordered some bronze rings on the 7th of April. Got charged immediately to my credit card and then NOTHING till the 16th. No email, no shipping, nothing. I finally emailed them and asked what in the world was taking so long to ship an in-stock item. After 2 requests on the 16h for information, they sent me a shipping order. The tracking number was not yet valid. on the 17th, but soon registered. I have not received the item yet, but am TOTALLY not happy with their internet business. It is archaic and ineffecient in a modern internet shipping world. Don't order if you don't HAVE to. "

"I originally placed this first order several months ago and after several weeks of back and forth e-mailing was finally successful in getting my money refunded. Then in February of 2009 my wife was looking for the same item (a pet toy for my dog) and registered with a service called Underbid. She was so happy she found the same dog toy and ordered it. After a few weeks she followed up and was told to contact the vendor directly, and when she told me the vendor was ideal true value I had a feeling this was going to end badly. Well to make a long story short it has now been several weeks.Her card was charged as soon as the order was placed (they have that part of the process down pat) and despite several weeks of repeated e-mails we have not received any correspondence. I even sent them a copy of the form I am going to use to file a complaint with the state AG office. They should not be able to conduct internet business and I urge everybody who has been ripped off as I have to take whatever legal steps possible to remedy their individual situation. I am also glad to see numerous web sites where this business is consistently rated as low as possible for internet transactions. I am also extremely disappointed with the Underbid web site. When I try to log in and tell them I have lost my password they send a link to my mailbox to click on which takes me to another link which tells me I cannot log on without my password. Who knows. "

"Ordered 26 pulleys, HOT for an ongoing job. Received 2 e-mails on 2/12/09 telling me they had shipped. Called on 2/18, was told they'll ship 'tomorrow'. Asked for expedited or overnight or anything that would help my client. Was told their agreement with FedEx prohibits anything like that, and the warehouse wouldn't let them make any changes anyway. The first "customer service" rep didn't seem to be able to focus on anything other than how "hateful" I was (she actually used the word at least 3 times). When "John" came on the line, his solution for my customer was literally "...tell them they'll get there when they get there." Look at the rating this place has and you'll see the whole story! Wish I'd have seen it before I ordered."
