Sooooo it went to "Military APO mail" If the rest of the address didn't have the "AREA" I worked, I never would have recieved it. "the item I got didn't have a good description. so I ended up with a useless item. what I needed was a 1x3 video splitter, this is a 3x1 multiplexer (mux) or combiner. it did not say this in the description for the product. the owner of the company saw this review and changed the product description (I did not know about it until I looked at the web site). I mistakenly saw the $80 shipping on the shipping prices and thought it was a scam, but I was wrong, UPS really does have $80-96 shipping and has recently changed their pricing structure, and even higher depending on if you want same-day. so I am making a formal apology to the owner of the company for parts of this review. it was too expensive to RMA this, but the owner of this company was kind enough to refund me the price of the product without me even asking. I hope there is a way to contact if I run across another product I have questions about. I think I would shop at this store again - the prices are good. a lot of this review has been my mistakes and I don't know how to delete this review now that the problems are pretty much all resolved. for instance one mistake I made was I did not avail myself of the usual contact us page like I usually do to get the product database fixed or to ask questions. I think I was having a rough day. issues are all resolved."

Controller even has a smart equalization function; it can take hot air from upstairs and deliver it downstairs to prevent excessive heat in bedrooms!

I have only had an issue with my most resent order where one of the products I ordered was broken. I am working with Hometech now to get the issue resolved. Unfortunately, those were just empty words when put to the test because they refused to match an exact (non-clearance) item from SmartHome.com, an authorized dealer. HomeTech, learn the meaning of "100%" and the commitment/integrity it takes to stand behind your words.
Update: A few hours after submitting this review, I received an e-mail (and a phone call the following day)from HomeTech's office manager stating the owner approved the price match; no explanation as to why the price match was originally denied, then reversed, was offered. I did not purchase from HomeTech, order had already been placed with SmartHome."

If you search the internet you can find better prices than HomeTech, but not by much, and HomeTech is cheaper than most companies I comparison shopped with. For me, HomeTech is my first choice go-to company. I know I'll get good products at a good price and not have to waste time searching around. I also know that if I have questions about how something works or how to implement a product, I can call them on the telephone and talk to a friendly knowledgeable person than can answer my questions.
