So not happy!!

" I purchased a grill and low and behold they charged my card 5 times for the same purchase! The store won't help me saying that they only show one purchase even though I brought them details from the bank showing the amount came out of my account 5 times! Corporate says there is nothing they can do that I have to dispute it with my bank. So incredibly glad that I have almost $2000.00 that I can just throw away. Now I get to wait at least 2 weeks before I can even think about getting my money back. Thanks Home Depot! "

Horrible customer service.

"Bradenton Florida has the worst customer service ever. Associates walk away from you or make you wait. You can ask them for a product and if they don’t know what it is, rather than saying “gee let me find out” instead they say “I don’t know what your are talking about.” They will leave you standing and NEVER come back when they say they will....horrible, horrible.

Worst customer service rep

"TERRIBLE, SIMPLE TERRIBLE!!!! This has to be one of the worst experiences that I have encountered.
I have seen Home Depot as my 'go to' place for paint, lumber, tools, equipment rental, anything related to home improvement.
Today, 3/27/19 at 6:18pm, we have the worst experience ever at Home Depot located at 11305 SW 40th Street Miami Florida 33165 with a customer service representative named Estefania.
We went to Home Depot to return a paint (custom made) that we were not satisfied with. Estefania said that it was not refundable even though we explained that the person who made the paint did it wrong (instead of Satin it was made as Seashell), she was very rude and with attitude she said we couldn’t return it. We explained several times the reason why we bought the paint (the person who made it didn’t know that paint exists in Satin as we requested, the following week we went and another person was able to do it exactly as we wanted therefore the initial paint was the one we wanted to return since we didn’t use it)
Not only she treated badly and with actitud but she also , I turned her eyes up and when we mentioned that she shouldn’t treat customers like that because she was representing Home Depot, she replied back saying that she was not Home Depot.
My husband even tried to be nicer saying that maybe she was tired and she refused that, every single comment was an objection. This girl needs a lot of customer service training to learn how to treat not only customers but people.
We finally were able to return the paint after another rep came, his name is David, who in less than a few minutes solved the problem. He spoke to the manager and I was able to return the paint. All the problem was resolved in less than 5 minutes. Thank you David!

Horrible experience. Will never buy at home depot again.

"I never write bad reviews as I myself work in customer service and understand how it works. But I want to take my time and share my recent encounter with Home Depot. I have purchased a washer and when it was delivered they had to remove the dryer that was sitting on the old washer. But after the new washer was installed they didn't put the dryer back on top of the new washer. They surely rejected saying its not their responsibility to re-installed the dryer as I didn't purchase the dryer from them. I may understand that; but why you wouldn't put the dryer back on top of the washer - that is something I am VERY upset about. Who is responsible to this now? I can not do it myself, I am tiny woman. Do I have to hire someone now? Two people, right? This is absolutely unacceptable. Not that I will have additional expenses now and waste my time, I am not able to complete the laundry; moreover, the dryer is sitting in the middle of the tiny 1 bed room apartment. Very disappointed and will never shop at Home Deport ever again!"

Do not buy appliances at Home Depot

"I purchased washer and drier to replace existing appliances. Sales person convinced me to get a new cable for a washer and vent duct for the drier claiming the installation comes with these parts. This was appealing so I agreed. He also notified me that I will have 48 hours to test both appliances. If anything goes wrong, Home Deport will replace it, otherwise I will have to deal with manufacturer's guaranty service. Delivery people came in time, removed old appliances and brought in the new ones. They connected power cord to the washer and informed me that they have no vent ducts left so the will give me a credit so I can get this part from the store. They placed word "credit" on corresponding line in delivery papers. Here the fan starts. I ran to the nearest Home Depot store and after 15 min of waiting at so called Service Desk guy with named Jesus on his uniform listen to me and walked away for another 10 min. When he came back he looked into computer screen for another 5 min and said that I bought drier in another store so he cannot help me because they have no required part. Store of sale should either give me this missing duct or credit back the price of the duct. So I go to the store of sale. There I waited another 15 min until local clerk paid attention to me. Obviously he sent me to appliance sales. Where clerk stated that I will have my money back from delivery and in turn I was sent back to the Service desk where clerk claimed that I will have credit from delivery. I assume they have no idea that Home Depot subcontracts delivery. At this point I asked if I can simply buy this duct again for $24.99. This duct was found at sales and I paid for it. Unfortunately, it turned out that this particular duct model is only 8 feet and too short for any basement installation so I tad to return it and buy another one but finally, by midnight, I managed to put drier in working order so my wife could test it the next day. Fortunately, it worked OK.
I see more then few problems in this story:
1. Customer service is absolutely inefficient. They just waist consumers time and have no idea how to deal with delivery problem.
2. Sales push consumers into buying wrong parts under the pretense of free installation.
3. Delivery have no desire to get involved into free installation and I am sure that sales clerks perfectly aware of this.
4. There is a lack of communications between Home Deport and their subcontractors.
5. Home Depot pocketed my $24.99 and this is a clear robbery.
I will eventually get my money back but I strongly advise everybody who is going to buy any appliance from Home Depot to be extremely vigilant. Personally, from now on I will try to buy everything online. Appliances included.

Free 2-Day Shipping is a Joke!

"I ordered a tower Fan online on Monday morning with the free 2-day shipping. It should have arrived on Wednesday. It is now scheduled for delivery on Monday. 7-day shipping is not 2 days. Do not order from Home Depot online if you want your item delivered in a timely manner. Find a store that has what you want and pick it up in person. Or you could order from another company.
The free 2-day shipping is a Joke!

New Pro Services , no longer for pro customers

"I'm a commercial Builder with a commercial credit line at Home Depot. I used to be able to go into Home Depot find a pro and he would help me with my projects. I'd give him a list they pulled together my orders and have them ready for me. They would special order products for me based off a client's needs.
Now Home Depot has decided to eliminate them down at the pro desk there's nothing but cashiers. When you go in with your blueprints now or a list the pro I use that term loosely is nothing more than a cashier and spends 90% of his time helping on phone sales for little tiny $10 sales. My sales and orders always 3000 Plus. when you're trying to find a special product the new Pros just look at you and say if it's not on their web page that I can order then they can't get it. since their website is not user-friendly in any way shape or form for a professional customer it's worthless. last year we did well over a hundred and twenty five thousand in business with Home Depot. We will no longer be using Home Depot, and we'll start taking our business to the pros at Lowes. They at least realize there's a difference between a Pro customer and the regular consumer. Home Depot needs to hire management upper levels that actually shop the stores. They need to actually talk to the professional customers. So Home Depot keep on taking care of your little phone sales waste all your time doing that instead of helping us Pro customers that bring you the real business. I got tired of waiting for pro to help me instead of running the cash register I left and took my $3, 650 order tullos instead where they actually helped me and concentrated on me not the $10 phone sales.

They Don't Screen Their Employees

"I have shopped extensively at both Lowe's and Home Depot for many years. Home Depot does not screen their employees very well. I had people renovating my house go to both places to buy building materials several times when I was out of town on business. I gave both places my credit card information over the phone. At Home Depot, they stole my credit card information and made unauthorized purchases. It never happened at Lowe's. I met several people in my personal life who worked at Home Depot and that just confirmed for me that Home Depot does not screen their employees well at all. I have to buy appliances soon, and I'll go to Lowe's because I don't trust the employees at Home Depot with my personal information such as my address."

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT

"DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT. THEY OUTSOURCE THE DELIVERY TO HORRIBLE COMPANIES AND DO NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY.
Delivery of 4 appliances including a refrigerator was to be between 10am and 2pm. I called at 1:30 of find out where they were and was told they were running behind and would be here at 3:30 with not excuse or reason why I was not informed. At 3:50 i called again and was told it was now 5:30 delivery. Again no reason why no one called me. I had taken all the food out the refrigerator and freezer and cleaned out everything. Home Depot customer service was rude, the supervisor was rude and no one would take responsibility. The delivery company people were even more rude and threatened to not deliver at all.

NEVER order on line from Home Depot

"I ordered a houseful of items for a remodel job. Some of the items never showed up, but I was still charged. The glass shower enclosure was defective & the contractor went to the local store to see what could be done. They said it was an on line from order & there was nothing they could do.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
I will NEVER purchase anything from you again & I will spread the word to anyone who will listen.

Credit Card "Verification" process

"So I wanted to buy a new tub. I put in my information to get a credit card. Was told they needed me to call as the "final" step.

Called them. They wanted a cell phone number, which I provided. It wasn't on their "list" (whatever that means) so I was told to take photo ID to the store.

I did (my Driver's license AND passport). The associate had to call the office. The office kept me on hold for 30 minutes asking for Social (again), Zip (again), and if I had any credit cards.

Yes, I had two - both Chase. They can't use those for verification (WTF?). Nor my Bank Card or Merrill Lynch card. They declined credit because they could not "verify" my identity because of their own fatally flawed system. Maybe they should try DNA.

False Advertising

"So I went to purchase an over the range…
So I went to purchase an over the range microwave oven.
They had a great deal on a samsung. It was marked $242 ($200 off regular price). I told them I would like to purchase it. Thye said "we do not get them in stock, any of them ever. You have to purchase it with shipping. Shipping is $75." I told them I . don't mind waiting for it to get to the store. The said they do not get them to the store, they only ship to your house and it's $75 to ship. This made no sense to me. I could understand if they ran out of stock or I had to travel to another store, or I had to wait a week to get it delivered to the store at no cost to me except the advertised price. I even told them I would take the floor model. They said, no they are not allowed to sell the floor model. I asked to speak the manager in the Corneluis NC. She said that's the way it is, kind of an attitude, no real explanation or understanding of how this makes no sense. In a nutshell. They advertise a price that's not possible to sell for. If there is no way you can buy the product for the price shown it should not be advertised in the store. Makes perfect sense to me. Please enlighten me if you see another way of looking at this? Customer Service Regarding Fraud

"Two purchases were made in my name from Home Depot.com I learned of these purchases in an email from Home deot. In addition my address of record was changed, I learned in another email from Home Depot. Problem is... I DIDNT MAJE EITHER OF THESE PURCHASES OR CHANGE MY ADDRESS. Clearly fraud. Home Depot put me in hold while they said they were stopping the shipments. I was assured they were stopped. I called 3 hours after these 2am purchases were made to inform them of fraud and was given the assurance the itemszwiykd not ship. I received a message the next day from Home Depot that the shipments were on their way. Okay. So I called customer service to ask who their aquiring bank was so I could get the Visa credit card number the crooks used or maybe they opened a card in my name. This question was asked of home depot at the request of VISA. My husband and I have more than one Visa card. Do we cancel all of them. I was put on hold for 30 minutes by the home depot rep. She never called back. She never took me off hold. I had to freeze my credit at all 3 credit reporting agencies. File a police report and send a copy if the report to VISA. Thanks a lot Home Depot for doing nothing to stop this fraud or help me. You made your profit. Great for you. I will never ever step foot in another Home Depot. I have 2 rental properties in addition to my own home. It is a poorly run and managed company. Lowes and Menards are great. Thanks for nothing home depot but wasting a lot of time speaking to your reps who couldn't care less about the fraud. "

"What a nightmare with Home Depot every time I order flooring. It would take a lot more space on this page to write all the hell I’ve been through with this poor customer service, lies, excuses, and "don’t care about you” attitude. DON'T BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT

"So i went into the store and spent and hour picking out appliances with the sales rep and i told her from the beginning i needed them asap. After picking them all out none were available to be delivered. She swapped them out for more expensive appliances that could be delivered on four days later. I waited on the day of delivery all day and no one arrived. When i called homedepot i was hung up on multiple time, transferred, disconnected, promised call backs with no call back. Eventually they told me the appliances would be delivered but a week later. They blamed the supplier or vender (what happened to instock !?!) I told them no i can't wait so cancel it. They said the can't and just wait for the appliances to come and then don't accept them. I said i can't do that because i need the money back to go buy appliances elsewhere. I spoke to sales associate, store manager, homedepot national customer service. They basically told me they look into it but couldn't do anything. This is absolutely the worst customer service on the plannet. Multiple chances to fix things and they did nothing. What a gigantic waste of my time and energy."
