"This is a sturdy little tent! Secured it to an old section of 6ft. Wood fencing for the floor and she is solid! I even made other alterations to it to make it more of a greenhouse with no problems. I even put it together myself in no time & im 5'2". "

What everybody is saying is absolutely true!

"I ordered a metal detector on 5/2/2020. Its 5/20/2020 and they have not even processed my order yet. This company is a fraud and I'm sure I will never get my money back. I will never order anything from a company unless I check the reviews in advance. I WISH I HAD FOUND THIS REVIEW SITE EARLIER.

PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I WILL BE NOTIFYING THE BBB AND MY BANK TO CANCEL THE PAYMENT. ANYBODY THAT ORDERS FROM THESE GUYS ARE IDIOTS, AS I WAS. I HAVE LEARNED A PAINFULLY EXPENSIVE LESSON.

"I placed my order end of March
I placed my order end of March! No tracking, no way to cancel. They are thieves! Stay away! Will be filing a chargeback on Friday if I do not get my tracking number!!!! I suggest everyone to look at these reviews before buying. Awful awful company.

"this are horrible. i place an order everything says in stock, nothing ships, i call they says it will ship this week, Nothing ships. they don't reply to email.

Out of Stock on EVERYTHING????

"I ordered 7 different items, and they said they would ship in 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks, they said the 2 sizes of gloves were unavailable, and THEY cancelled that part.
Two days later, they cancelled the order, saying NONE of the items are available.
No masking tape?
No multipurpose scissors?
No moving blankets?
No plumber's brush?
And No mini-tire changer.

What kind of store is this that doesn't have ANYTHING in stock, and takes over 2 weeks to tell you???

Tools are fine but the shipping is terrible.

"I thought maybe Harbor Freight would speed up shipping and processing time to keep up with Walmart and Amazon. I was sadly mistaken. I have been waiting 4 days and items have not shipped. They refuse to cancel order because it is in process. Never again!!!!!! Amazon has spoiled me with free 2 day shipping and easy cancellation if a problem arises. Harbor Freight told me to use one of their stores. Closest store is 225 miles from my home."

Do not buy Drain Cleaners at Harbor Freight unless you love being punished!

"Do not buy a 25 Ft. Drain Cleaner With Drill Attachment at Harbor Freight unless you love being punished! Both models are junk! Shorter Drain Cleaner: (https://www.harborfreight.com/15-ft-drill-powered-drum-auger-93483.html) - Longer Drain Cleaner: (https://www.harborfreight.com/25-ft-drain-cleaner-with-drill-attachment-66262.html) Buy this tool if you love punishment! You are guaranteed to love it! It will break apart the first time you use it, and you will cherish the moment, remembering forever how " truly great" it is, and you will lust after it for more! My drain snake broke apart on it's first use just like another reviewer! The 2nd picture shows the snake put back inside of the unit in reverse to seal it's fate with the snake fully pushed inside of it (using a pen), and duct tape over the hole to prevent the snake from dangerously leaving the device ever again (to prevent a freak accident)! - Order # 4413635

After this experience I went to Home Depot and bought a really and great tool called: RIDGID PowerSpin Plus - (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-PowerSpin-Plus-57043/303644607) This tool works exceptionally well, and there is a cheaper model that you can't use a drill with called: RIDGID KwikSpin+ 1/4 in. x 25 ft. Disclaimer: My 1 star across the board rating applies only to this product! For the record, almost all Harbor Freight Tools are great quality tools except for 3 things I bought over there which accounts for ~1% of what they sell from what I know! Employees at the stores do not care if a product is bad, and 1% of their products are awful, and worth avoiding!

terrible customer service

" I ordered an impact wrench online I was told I could return it for a full refund at the Box Store in Kenneth City Florida when I went to get my money they only gave me $43 out of the $60 due to me. I called their corporate headquarters and was told the district manager would get ahold of me in a couple days it's now been over a week and not one word from I would not go in that store or any Harbor Freight store to buy even a pocket screwdriver let alone a power tool. BTW the retail value on the impact wrench was $49.99 . I got a better model with more torque that came with four sockets in a case from amazon.com. Harbor Freight impact wrench came in a cardboard box without any packing and was halfway out of the carton when I received it I was so mad I didn't even plug it in to see if it worked I just took it right back to the store. I had to call my bank and file a formal dispute against Harbor Freight to get a provisional credit for the full amount of the purchase price."

Deceptive business practices

"Others have done a good job relating their specific negative experiences with Harbor Freight so I'll just add a big picture warning.

If you're at all familiar with Harbor Freight, you'll know that they constantly offer "20% off one item per day" coupons. Be careful because they list, in *very* fine print, brands that are exempt from the coupon. This practice is becoming more common throughout the retail industry and the reason is simple; they know that a certain percentage of people will not read the fine print and when it comes time to make payment and they discover that there's no discount, will buy anyway. Whether you are OK with this is a personal choice. I think it's deceptive and refuse to go along with it.

Specific to Harbor Freight, I got caught by it when I brought a Viking brand product up to the cash register. Why Viking is special/protected, no-one seemed to know. I did not buy it and found a better product at a better price elsewhere.

#69572 Parts Rack

"This is absolutely the worst product I ever dragged home from HF. The polyethylene parts bins are soft, cheaply made and not nearly heavy enough plastic. The rack they go in is even worse. I rested my elbow on one of the shelves while assembling it and bent the shelf. Total TRASH, made from sheet metal too flimsy for the application. Instruction book was awful. Pictures are far too small to be able to tell which direction parts are to face when assembled.

Take this product out and shoot it! If it survives, shoot it again! It sure isn't going to hold the bolts and nuts I wanted to store in it.

Mark it TRASH!!!

Horrible customer service

"I had horrible customer service. I bought ,accidentally, 4 packs of AAA batteries. I wanted AA batteries. I took my receipt and the batteries back the store. I was 12 days past their 90. They told me they could do NOTHING. No exchange, no store credit....nothing. The mgr on duty told me she would loose her job if she did anything. Where is this companies customer service? You mean to tell me this person would loose her job over good customer service and 4 pks of batteries? I won't shop there again. "

Waiting 8 months for a part no resolution

"I purchased a greenhouse last year, but accidentally broke a part while I was assembling it. As it was a part of the ceiling structure, I’m not able to complete assembly without it, and in the meantime, what is assembled is structurally weak and at risk even from moderate winds. Regardless, I understood it was my fault, and simply wanted the replacement.

Initially, HF was helpful, and the process to order the part was straightforward and expected. I ordered the part, was advised it would need to be manufactured in China, then shipped via boat to US, where it would enter Customs, then go to one of two HF warehouses. I would receive a written letter with payment instruction, complete the process, and would receive my part.

I placed the order in October 2018. I called for a status update in March, and was told that the part had been manufactured and was onboard a ship, waiting to sail to US. I wasn’t too concerned, and was aware that China-US shipping relationships were and are probably stressed, so was no angry about any possible delay. I was told that it was expected to reach US Customs in May.

I called in April for a status update, and was advised the ship was on its way, that my part was aboard, and it would leave Customs on time with ETA end of May.

In June I called for a status update, and no one could find my part.

In July I called for an update, and was told that my part had been accidentally shipped to an incorrect warehouse. Someone would grab it, get it to the correct warehouse, then get it to my local area (Seattle) where it would then be shipped to me. They told me they were waiving the cost of the part and shipping for me. Nice.

Now, I’m told that no one can find the part, and my only options are to either start the order process over (10-12 weeks which seems to read as “45 weeks” in Harbor Freight time) or they can initiate a “warehouse check.” I had been under the sad impression that whenever they were looking for my part, they were doing some version of a “warehouse check.” I had also been under the impression that any time someone was telling me the status of the part, they were able to do because the actual status of the actual part was actually tracked in some type of system that actually tracks such things.

They did also offer me a $20 gift card for my time and trouble. That’s amazing.

They have “no record of my order”.

Will not cancel my order

"I placed an order on 6-23-19 three days later it has not shipped. I called to cancel and was told I could not do that because it was in process. 10 hours later it has still not shipped. I am done with harbor freight. My company feels the same way. I will return everything I can and never deal with them again."

Awful

"I ordered a car polisher on 6/15. on the 20th I had heard nothing back and it still said pending order so I attempted to place a refund request that day through mobile which their site failed to submit. The 21st I send a request on my laptop and then on the 24th(today) I am told I can not cancel it because the item has shipped - yet it still says pending. I call to cancel and they tell me it has not shipped(they have no idea when it will) and that you can only cancel an order 1 hour after it is placed but that they will stick a return/refund request label inside the box when it ships. Now that has to be the stupidest thing ever: we have your item and we have no idea when we will send it to you and wont let you cancel, but we will stick a return label in the box with the item. The lady on the phone was one of the most unhelpful people on this planet and did not care what I had to say at all. This was my first purchase attempt through harbor freight and it will be my last and I will steer everyone I possibly can away from this horrendous place. Just take a look at their facebook community section, it is filled with horrible reviews which I sadly did not see prior."
