"I ordered a 20 inch plainer February 7th 2022. Backorder date changed too many times to keep track. Called them today May 23rd 2023 asked for a good discount for waiting so long and was told the price of the machine went up from my price and that they could not discount it down any more. I canceled my order and now I have to find another company to order a plainer. Very upset and disappointed. "
"I ordered a table saw (G0771Z) and when it was delivered I received the cabinet carton but not the fence carton. I contacted Grizzly customer service and they said they would work with the carrier to find the missing carton. After 3 days I contacted them again but they had no updates, so I contacted Holland Freight and talked to them and they worked with me to find the carton. They called me back the next day to give me an update and arrange delivery. Meanwhile Grizzly sent me emails telling me they were still working with the carrier to locate the carton. A week later they finally decided to pick up the phone and call me to tell me they were still working to find the carton. I told them I had already did their job for them and that if they would have called the carrier instead of playing email tag they would have found the carton. However, that is not their process. I told them their process is broke, but they insisted that I was wrong and they had it all under control. They were rude and inconsiderate and I subsequently canceled my order for a dust collector. I highly doubt I would order anything from Grizzly again because I do not trust they would provide the customer support to resolve any issues with their products. "
"ordered a 3hp dust collector , it came damaged and missing parts ,called grizzly for weeks and finally found out parts are lost and 8 weeks to get them , it was already 6 weeks and they offered no resolution , I asked for a refund , took 1 more week and a complaint by credit card company to get it picked up , was issued a refund by credit card company and still have not heard from grizzly , would never buy from them again , although they sell very reasonable tools and fair quality for the price , I will buy from jet and other companies , YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR "
"I purchased a bandsaw from grizzly. The shipper never called to set up delivery.
After many useless calls to customer service, I got the name of the shipper and called them myself. They didn't have the saw, and didn't know where it was because they had dumped it on a 3rd party shipper.
After doing my own investigation, I found the 3rd party shipper, only to find my saw had been sitting on their dock for days undelivered because they don't deliver to my area.
Grizzly didn't care.
I ended up making a 100 mile round trip to pick it up myself.
A $50 gift certificate for 3 hours of my time, my truck, and my fuel wasn't even close to an apology.
Currently, I ordered a planer for $845, tracked it all the way to my local UPS hub, where it magically disappeared.
Call after call to Grizzly and UPS clearly pointed to the unit being lost.
Grizzly said they had to give UPS 8 business days to find it.
My point to them was they have a problem they need to resolve between themselves and their shipper, and in the meantime, they need to send a new unit out, or return my money.
Grizzly would neither ship a new one out, nor return my money.
It's been over a week now since the original delivery date. Grizzly still won't ship a new one, and refuses to give me my money back.
In my book, I call this stealing.
Imagine the hell that would break loose if somehow I had gotten a piece of equipment out of them, then refused to pay for it!!!
The customer is #1 to any reputable business.
With Grizzly, you're apparently last."
"I ordered a sheet metal shear. I was charged for the machine and to date, still have nothing, nada in my shop. They were fine on the take my money side of things, but ZERO on the customer service side. I tried to contact their President of Operations Robert McCoy, but he too didn't bother to respond to my complaint. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and to date, no such conversation has ocurred. Unfortunately late to the party, I later checked the Better Business Bureau rating for Grizzly, and they in fact received 1 star and is not accredited by the BBB. They have numerous complaints. I ended up filing for intervention at Amazon, and they told me that they would intervene and refund my payment under their A-Z guarantee since I have a charge, but still no machine in my shop.

"Terrible customer service, no refund offered for their mistake, and lied to about having item they messed up overnighted.
Buy your product elsewhere!!"
"I did cave in and TRY to order a jointer from Grizzly. I waited several days after my order to get a tracking number. Alas, no number. I called and was told the order was not put in correctly. A NEW order was generated and yet another charge to my credit card.... Yes, you guessed it... that order was also screwed up and needed yet another new order and yet another new charge to my credit card. I tried to complain and was offered a whole $35 discount on the lift gate delivery. They made it abundantly clear they did not need my business. The customer service attitudes were the worst I have ever experienced. I was happy to cancel the order at this point. In further research, I see the terrible quality reviews. I was fortunate NOT to get a poor quality machine.. I’m sure I’ll be happy with my good quality powermatic jointer.. You DO need to do your do dilligance... Stay away from Grizzly at all costs.... you have been warned"
"I have tried to post this review at Grizzly multiple times but the refuse to post it. They screen all negative reviews from their site.
I can not believe how little suction this unit has. It can not be used for "vertical" lifts so says tech help. I can't even exhaust one simple blast gate at a time from a jointer or table saw. After trouble shooting and reaching out to tech i discovered the fan curve data on page 32 of the manual. It is rated at 1200 cfm at 1.2 SP. At 1.8 SP it drops down to 500 CFM. The unit almost flat lines under 250 CFM above 5.0 SP.\r\n\r\nThe 1.5 HP model has better performance.
(my new "clear view" doesn't even begin testing CFM at these low static numbers)
The issue is the tongue clearance of the fan blade to housing. it is over 2.5 inches = ~20%. Industry standards are 6% and the clearance should be about 5/8". Look at the data yourself, I bought different manufacturer and they do not even test CFM under 2.5 because it is unrealistic. 1.2 is a new filter out of the box. 1.8 is a filter with 20 minutes of run time. Do you home work.

"Returned an item because it was too small. Said they don't refund return shipping and "can't refund to my payment method" so it had to be PayPal. Then I get charged a fee out of my partial refund. Fighting them now. May update later."
"It is not possible to order and gift and have it delivered to a recipient. They believe this policy will "reduce fraud" which it likely does, by reducing orders."
"Not helpful when it comes to putting a little effort into doing some research on a replacement part. Their lack of effort means a lost sale. We were looking at purchasing a combo lathe/mill G9729. A little effort goes a long way."
"It is interesting how the Grizzly website does not allow for negative reviews to be posted, hence why I am here.
I ordered the 0759 mill with DRO and it was broken upon arrival.
The DRO never turned on, so I shipped it back right away. Grizzly customer service says it will take over two months to replace since the part is on backorder.
The mill itself has a number of issues, including a bad safety switch and a great deal of rust. The switch would bind up and the mill would not start.
Grizzly's solution was to have me do the repairs myself with a technician on the phone during business hours.
I have a day job, and this is not what I paid them for,
When I called back to reach a technician, I was forwarded to three different people, the third of which hung up. I did my best to treat each of them with respect, as I realize they did not do this to me personally, they are just paid to answer the phone, it is just too bad that they cannot actually do anything to solve the problem.
Bottom line, don't do business with these guys. Some of the pricing may seem great, but they seem fine with selling broken equipment and insisting that the customer fixes it themselves.
"
"Watch out they charge a different rate on returns for shipping- it cost me 1/2 the original price to return it."
"As a user of machine tools for more than fifty years, I purchased a Grizzly lathe for home shop use.
First time out, machining a small aluminum piece, the main drive gear broke, and quickly discovered it was made of cheap plastic. The warranty section agreed to replace it, but of course with the same plastic junk, while it is now backordered from China. Even I cannot afford the downtime, so once replaced the machine will go up for sale on Craigslist, along with all the other sad crap made in China. Yes, I even lived there for four years.
I will then purchase a "real" lathe with metal gears. Very poor company."
