"HORRIBLE ORDER FULFILLMENT!!! Ordered a Canon S45 from their website on the 2nd and it said "Usually leaves our warehouse in 2-3 days". Well, that's very misleading.
Yesterday I called and the rep I spoke to said that my order would be shipped that night. Well I never received a confirmation so I follow-up again today.
The rep tells me that they have had so many orders for this product that they cannot fulfill them all, which is why the product was taking off their website. He then tells me that my camera MAY have shipped yesterday, but he's not sure.
I ask him if I could cancel my order and he says sure, "as long as the item hasn't shipped". But he just told me it "might" have shipped yesterday. Hmmmmm...
Anyways, I cancelled my order an ordered from onecall.com instead. They had glowing reviews and I didn't doubt that I would receive the product I ordered.
Also, the goodguys.com is a completely different company from the storefront. You cannot return items to a local goodguys that you purchased online.

Waited 10 minutes on the first call, then gave up and called a second time. Waited 5 minutes and gave up. Called up again later. Someone picked up the phone. I also purchased a headphone and microphone at the same time. When I found that they use the wrong picture, I returned all of them.
At first, Goodguy.com said they didn't receive any retuen package. They refused to refund until I mailed them the UPS tracking number. However, they didn't refund the full amount of my money, and they said they only received headphones and microphone.
They lie!!!
I returned all of them in one package, and then they said thsy didn't get any of them. Now thay say they only get some of them.

"Placed order for a Sony DCR-PC101 on Tuesday and confirmed that item was in stock. The rep said I should receive it the next day. Item didn't actually ship until Saturday, and arrived the following Tuesday. No biggie, but they didn't deliver as promised. However, my card wasn't charged until the day AFTER I received the camera. Reps were friendly and there was no hard sell for warranties or accessories. I decided to use GoodGuys as they would price match *authorized* dealers (not rock bottom prices, but better than retail by far... and free shipping) and for the fact that they had a 14 day satisfaction guaranteed return policy... with NO restocking fee. On a $1000+ purchase, I didn't want to take any chances w/ a marginal internet reseller. All in all, it was a positive experience. "
"The online purchase went smoothly from start to finish. The web site was very easy to use and provided a lot more info on the item (a digital camera) than most of the other sites that I looked at. The order was placed without a hitch and was shipped on the same day. I had the item 3 days later via UPS ground service. I was able to easily track the item through the website or using the UPS tracking #. The price was not the lowest that I could find but most of the sites with lower prices had very poor customer satisfaction ratings. Overall I am very happy with the transaction and would definatly look at Goodguys the next time I need something."
"Buying the large-sized products from their internet site was easy. The website was also very easy to use and their free shipping and no tax offer saved me some money. Overall the online purchase was great.
The problem didn't start until I had a problem and called customer service. I didn't receive my order by the promised delivery date, so I called the store. Their customer service representative, Mike, was extremely rude, insulting, and condescending. He was not friendly and did not show any concern for my problem. He had a "this-is-not-my-problem" attitude. I asked him about their return/exchange policy and Mike said, "Did you even bother looking at the back of the receipt?" I called back the next day and talked to the manager, Ron. Ron was also extremely rude and insulting. He even hung up on me.
As long as you don't have to talk to anyone, you are fine. But, most likely, you will need to call them sooner or later. I will never buy from this online store again. The Good Guys store and goodguys.com are separate companies. The anger that you get from talking to customer service is not worth it, especially since their prices aren't cheap. You are better off buying from another store, get better prices, and get treated like you are a valued and respected customer."
