"I have purchased furniture from this company on 2 occasions. Their prices were excellent, shipping was fast and the transactions went very smoothly. I encountered minor problems with both orders but both were the fault of the manufacturer and NOT the fault of Furniture Crate. In both instances, Joshua T., a customer service representative, handled the problems quickly, efficiently, professionally....and very FAIRLY. I will hope to do more business with Joshua and Furniture Crate in the future."

"I ordered two chairs on 7/25/13 and checked on the status of the order on 8/7/13. I was told that my order was not submitted and was lost. At this point I was ready to cancel but thanks to Jason the customer service representative I had them re-ordered. He personally took care of the problem and I had the chairs in a week. "My husband and I ordered an ottoman from this company OVER 6 months ago, first let me start by saying their shipping was INCREDIBLY slow it took about 4-5 weeks to receive our ottoman, second we prepaid at the time of check-out and for a whole month+ it showed as the funds were taken out of our account. Well 6 months later I receive a call after 8 p.m. at night saying I needed to call them to settle a balance I had on my account, you can imagine my confusion as I pulled up all of my emails of confirmation and invoices I received from this company stating that my balance was PREPAID, so I pulled up my bank account statements from all months around my order date and sure enough the money was put back into our account. I called the bank to see if they could give me any explanation as to what happened and they could not pull up detailed transaction information from this far back. So that's where my frustration began to sink in, because now I was expected to pay a $400 bill that I thought was paid 6 months ago, which for some people could be a large problem if they did not have the budget for that anymore. I called the company the next morning to find out why in the world they did not collect payment at the time I ordered and what kind of company would send somebody a $400 ottoman without receiving funds, well I spoke to 2 different employees and they were both VERY rude, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service, they did not care at all for their error and could not explain to me how this error even happened except that it was a "glitch" in their system. So I asked if there was anything they could do to help us since we had to pay this money that day and they were very rude and did not seem to want to fix their error at all. In the end it really wasn't about the money, we had the money to pay for it the fact was their customer service should have been more willing to apologize for their error, or offer us some sort of gesture that would say 'sorry, please shop with our company again', which they did not say sorry even once. Bottom line is please take your money else where this company is not worth the hassle, I am not surprised to see they have such terrible reviews all over the web and I wish I would have taken the time to look before I decided to purchase my furniture through them. Not to mention, their link for reviews on their website is mysteriously broken."

"I ordered a set of end tables for $700.00. The website offers free shipping. I had to be home for a three day window for the tables to be delivered.
I did not like the tables and tried to return. They wanted to charge for shipping both ways $326.00 plus $127.00 restocking. A toltal of $453 to return a $700 item. It took four calls to customer service to get a response. Their delivery and return policy is a total scam.

"It took five weeks for the seller to deliver my order of a Barcalounger recliner. Of course, I was charged up front and nobody bothered to keep me informed of any delay.

Big disappointment even before I opened the box: Barcalounger is not longer made in the USA, but, as everything else nowadays, is made in China.
The packing is unsuitable for this kind of fragile item. The box is too light and there is virtually no inside stuffing. The box arrived with two large holes and the leather was a bit scratched, however in an inconspicuous place.
I ordered this specific model as it looked like the one my daughter has bought several years and that is of impeccable quality. Hers is also very comfortable. Mine is not.
The quality of the mechanism went downhill, just as the rest of the recliner. Neither of the two settings is comfortable and you feel as it always wants to revert to the vertical position.

If if were not for the hassle and the already damaged packaging, I would have returned it.

"Ordered two "I love my pillows" from Furniturecrate.com. The pillow just didn't work for me. Website states 30 day money back guarantee. Called two and a half weeks after receiving and was told if I took the pillow out of the plastic I couldn't return it. If I did return it for review to see if they could resell it and they decided it couldn't be resold, they would just throw it away. They would not contact me or give me a refund...they would just throw it away!!! Stay away from this company!! Not customer service oriented!"

"We purchased a sofa from Furniture Crate and the entire experience was very positive. The order was placed promptly and the price was outstanding. I called customer service once to check the status of the order and the follow-up was fantastic. The delivery people were especially polite and courteous and extremely cautious unloading the product. I plan to use them again for a mattress purchase."

"Delivery of the item I purchased is ridiculous. My order was placed on 1/9. I received an email notifying me my order was scheduled for shipping on 1/31. The tracking information provided an estimated delivery of 2/7 - 2/24. All of this for an item that is 2 hours away! I asked if I could drive over and pick it up myself and was told no. I literally could walk there and back in less time."

"I spent $300 on a catnapper recliner for a mother's day gift. I was excited about the great price and free shipping. Weeks went by without any contact from them. I called twice and was told that they could not contact the manufacturer and that they would call me. Over a month after I placed my order, still no calls. Thank goodness I paid with Paypal and can get my money back, otherwise, I don't think I've ever see it again."

Currently, the order is still in the stage of "Order Processing" even though I called them after a few days and they confirmed that the manufacturer had dozens of the piece in stock. "I purchased the same coffee table sold at Macys for 40% more. The first shipment went bad because the shipping company broke it. I emailed them the images of the broken furniture and they sent a replacement right away using another shipper. The replacement arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier with my gorgeous coffee table just in time for Christmas.
