Charging $120 for a product available $20 elsewhere

"Huge ridiculous markup, very high prices on extremely cheap low quality products. Do not be fooled by this scam.
Also my bluemax sunrise alarm arrived not functioning, these cheap, overpriced products break easily.

"I. My 1st experiences with them: I bought two models of their lamps, but w/in ~weeks each was having flickering lights and sometimes they just turned off (nothing else in the room turned off or flickered). They replaced the balasts, which meant I had to install the new ones (not easy on one of the lamps...). Soon I had the same problems again, and again the balasts needed replacement. This problem continued for quite some time and they tried to blame the electrical system, but, I had one lamp at home and the other at work in another town, and I never had that issue w/any other lamp/device. Eventually we got some working balasts.
II. A. Given I didn't compare these lamps to the competition and it had been years since the original issues were solved, I finally decided to give them another try when a refurbished model was being sold by them, but prior to buying I asked if it was in as good a shape as a new one or more likely to break. They emailed me the former, so I bought it. The light it put out was more harsh than the original. I even swapped bulbs, to verify it wasn't the refurbished lamp, and even tried an unused bulb I had from years ago. Customer service tried to blame the amount of time the bulbs were used, but that didn't hold w/the unused bulb.... They did send me bulb replacments, but the new ones were just as harsh, so I'm using this lamp with the old unused bulb, but when that bulb goes, I'll not know what to do.

B. 1. It was used for a few days per week for 3 months, then not used at all until 8.5 months later. At that point I was gently adjusting the flexible arm when it snapped. How can it snap? It was hardly used and I was gentle, and I have used these lamps for years w/o that problem. I belive prior to it being refurbished, it wasn't treated gently, and it was already in poor shape but it went unnoticed. (This reminds me of how someone might try to open a jar, then another person tries and it is easy because the 1st person loosened the jar). I contacted customer service who claimed structural damage isn't warranted. What?!? They offered a different [colored] lamp as a replacement, but I wanted the same color and for them to give me a prepaid shipping label. They refused to send this label but eventually agreed to send the same color lamp. Note: I often would wait weeks for a reply email, they'd often not return phone calls (I always got voicemail for the person they assigned to me), and I'd have to keep contacting them many times, and so much time was wasted. Very frustrating!
2. The replacement arrived, but it lacked screws to securely put it together! The top of the lamp arrived w/major scratches! It did include a bulb, but it was in many pieces, leading to glass on the floor and mercury in the room! I've tried many times to contact them about this, but they will not reply to emails or voicemails. I strongly suggest no one uses this company unless their executive management changes.

"Ordered many types of CFL full spectrum bulbs but needed to return two that were too large for my lamps. The time between order and delivery was too lengthy. I returned two bulbs for credit closely following all instructions. It has been several weeks and I have had no response to indicate that the bulbs were received and credited to my account."
