Subsequent to my prior review, FoxDen contacted me and made a good effort to try and make amends. Communications were robust and exhibited top-notch customer service. It sounds like they perhaps are growing fast which contributed to some of the issues. They promised to try and compensate me for some of the issues, so I am hopeful and encouraged by the follow-up response. Looking forward to update further to four stars....

Fraud…FoxDen merchandise looks great online…I so wanted to like them and be happy with my purchase...but buyer beware..PICTURES ONLINE ARE NOT WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU ORDER….and customer service is the worst!
I don’t think I have ever had bad enough service to spend the time writing a negative review ---- but FoxDen Decor changed that. My opinion is - NEVER ORDER FROM FOXDEN DECOR!
Took a long time to receive (13 weeks), quality of piece was not as advertised, they took NO responsibility for their shipping screw ups and then they cut off all communication once they shipped!
BOTTOM LINE BUYER BEWARE…DO NOT ORDER!…A brief summary of the worst part of experience is below:
QUALITY NOT AS ADVERTISED
Not truly reclaimed wood as they advertise: wood looked relatively new, silver staples in wood, extremely thin/flexible cheap wood on back of vanity with large marking in black Sharpie saying “hecho en Mexico”….and, no joke/exaggeration, there was a cockroach in the vanity!
SHIPPING COMPANY THEY HIRED DID NOT DELIVER
The shipping company they used could not deliver to residential neighborhood. I live in an easily accessible residential neighborhood with a large parking lot adjacent to my home. The shipping company scheduled two deliveries that required me to take of work and be home and both times they sent the small vanity on a 48 ft tractor trailer and the driver aborted delivery…WITHOUT TELLING ME!
FOXDEN DID NOT HELP AND TOLD ME NOT THEIR PROBLEM
I contacted FoxDen and the reply I got indicated that they didn’t know I lived in a residential neighborhood (my address alone is clearly residential but more important, was indicated as such on my order!)…yet the email response I got from Diane at FoxDen is below, showing her unwillingness to take any responsibility and complete lack of concern for providing real service (and note she never got back to me and NO ONE AT FOXDEN RESPONDED TO MY MULTIPLE INQUIRES!)….
From FoxDen - "As much as I would like to compensate for freight carrier and customer disputes, it is not my place to do so. Your order was shipped from us eight days ago and we have no control over the freight carrier and receiving party interactions, although we do pitch in and lend a hand as much as we most possibly can. I will get back with you as soon as I can with any additional solutions."
I HAD TO SPEND DAYS NEGOTIATING WITH A GEORGIA-BASED SHIPPING COMPANY FOR A NEW JERSEY DELIVERY
Shipping company told me I had to drive over an hour to get my merchandise because they would not deliver beyond a highway!!!
FINALLY FOUND A SHIPPING REP IN NJ AND THEY WORKED IT OUT…GO NJ!
I do lots of ordering online and have received many deliveries (very large and some small) and have had custom reclaimed wood work done….and this is hands down the very worst customer service and quality or craftsmanship I have EVER experienced...

"Almost all of my experiences purchasing products online from reputable businesses have been great. I am never weary of buying expensive pieces online. But this transaction was awful. I purchased a custom double vanity online through Jami at FOXDENDECOR on 3/3/17. Up until I paid the invoice Jami was wonderful to work with, answered all my emails and very helpful. After I paid and placed the order I was told it would take 6-8 weeks. No problem. I never bugged them. After 9 weeks I decided I better email Jami. She told me it was getting ready to ship as we spoke! Great!! She said I would receive a picture in a day or two. The following week I emailed again. No picture yet. She said, I would get it that week. Still no picture. I emailed her the following week. Oh...they were doing inventory so I should get the picture that day. Nada....didn't get a picture for another week. I picked up the phone and spoke with someone who actually told me the truth. The vanity top was shipped to their warehouse damaged so they had to send it back and they were making me a new one. OK..finally the truth! I get it, these things happen. So I waited another week. Nothing. I called, got voice mail. Emailed and got no replies. We moved into our home with no bathroom vanity so I had to cancel and go elsewhere. So disappointing! They wouldn't issue me a refund so I had to call my credit card company. FOXDENDECOR may deliver a good product about 25% of the time, but chances are you'll be that 75%. And they don't have the decency to handle it the right way when they can't deliver. Just a bad company all around. They have beautiful pieces on their website. It's a shame."

I recently remolded my entire master bathroom, FoxDen Decor exceeded my expectations! I was extremely happy with my products. My boyfriend and I decided on the reclaimed double sink vanity 60x20x32. The wait for this was well worth it. We were given a four to six week time frame before we would get the piece. I was of course Leary ordering online, however we will continue to give our business to FoxDen. My sister came to visit and was so jealous of my bathroom. I hate to read bad reviews, and make judgements. I am the type of person that will write a review for everything! So....I want to make it known my experience was great. I appreciate Elaine, and all her efforts to accommodate me as well as the Houzz representatives that were so attentive to my questions and concerns. I can't wait till my honey lets me do the guest bathroom!

When the vanity arrived it was covered in gooey stain. It got everywhere as we unboxed the vanity. The carpet on my main entry landing is ruined. 6 days later, whatever they "stained" the vanity with, is still gummy to the touch. Leaves a thick black, gritty, oily substance on your hands. It also smells to high heaven.
Immediately contacted Houzz & began the arduous job of trying to rectify the issues. I'm being told that this NEVER happens with this company. Sadly, I found out, after the fact, that's not true.
As it stands, I'm out a carpet, vanity & the price I paid for this mess.
Still fighting to get some sort of resolution. Costing me even more $$$$

Order placed January 28, 2016. Order of 7 pieces PAID FOR IN FULL early Feb with the understanding of a 4-6 week turn around. One piece arrived poorly built in March with no hardware, purple discoloration, unlevel by almost 3/8" and not moisture sealed as specifically indicated in invoice (bathroom vanity). No action was taken by foxden to remedy any of these issues despite numerous efforts. I now have a 1/4 piece of plywood wedged under the left rear leg to make it "mostly" level on a newly poured concrete leveled bathroom floor.
Over a month later in April (over a month past the absolute latest deadline) we received a desk SOAKING wet with stain. I had to leave it on the rear porch for 2 weeks. There was only one "floating" shelf (we ordered 2) improperly made with no mechanism to affix to a wall, you know, the "floating" part. We were subsequently accused of lying about the contents of the box by the owner Chris Stewart.
We sent countless emails and spent untold hours on the phone with Elaine in customer service. She would acknowledge the absolute absurdity and ineptitude of how the situation was being handled but was able to provide no real help. Of the 3 pieces we have received, only one was built properly and to the correct specifications. Unfortunately, this piece was to be accompanied by two matching shelves to be installed above the desk and we only received one.
We waited one month, no big deal that was the arrangement plus a few weeks if needed. We waited TWO MONTHS, Ok they're busy and trying to get this all sorted. Items started showing up poorly made/not as ordered, alright, we will make it work. They're nice folks and the rest of the stuff is on the way. We waited THREE MONTHS, still can't get hardware for vanity rendering it unusable, the rest of the order is nowhere to be found. Furthermore, we are being told it has all been built and we will be receiving items any day now. Nope. FOUR MONTHS. We waited FOUR MONTHS while the owners hid behind Elaine giving excuse after excuse after excuse. No deadline was met and many of the items had still not been made. Instead of owning that and cutting their losses, Foxden doubled down and made a hard and fast deadline to conclude our business. You know what happened that day (April 27th) Nothing. Foxden did nothing. Not even a phone call. Nothing.
Finally we dispute the charges (FOUR MONTHS LATER) on the credit card. Guess what? Phone won't stop ringing. Guess who? Foxden. This company is best avoided at all cost. We are not alone in this experience and to top it off the owner Chris Stewart's response in part was:
"even though we give an estimated completion date, we don't guarantee any custom order time frames and we have a return and cancellation policy so that our customers can move on at any time if we can't complete within the estimated time frame."
They will not take the items on return.
Furthermore, the owner Chris Stewart posits that our entire 4 month disaster with Foxden was a premeditated attempt to steal their goods:
"[you were] planning all along to have us build you something that you fully intended to steal all along, using coercion and credit card dispute loop holes"
Never so much as a word from the owner in 4 months of this trainwreck, then contacted to say we were trying to steal from them all along. Call to make an order and they fall over themselves to respond, not so much once they have your money. "
