"Placed an order for Halo 3 with Family Video on 9-17-2007. Choose $.99 shipping (USPS) so I did not expect to get tracking information. Order shipped on 9-21-2007 and arrived today 09-27-2007. Family Video had the best price around for this highly anticipated video game and it arrived 2 days after it was launched.

"Well Family video has a strange way of doing business that is highly suspect Buyer Beware. I made two orders with them for PS3 games one being Lair, and the other being Heavenly Sword. On Lair I called to cancel the order on Aug. 31, I thought it would ok because it was shipping on the 5th. Family did a sneaky thing though because the game is crap they got it early and were probably stuck with a bunch of cancelled pre orders. So they rush shipped it right saying ohh it shipped you can't cancel it. Now a few weeks later on Heavenly Sword my order went into fulfillment On Monday the 10th and still has not shipped a week later. Finally after getting numberous run arounds with 3 phone calls and 3 unanswered emails, they admit they did not get enough of them even though I pre-ordered 6 weeks ago! Still the site says they have it in stock. This is a poorly run store period. I won't be buying from FV Again BUYER BEWARE.
I will add after speaking to a nicer rep seemingly? {could have been same rep in a better mood?} this morning it seems they under ordered the item and now it is back ordered. At least she let me know, unlike the awful site that still says in stock ships in one day. So I got some customer service .... Still unlikely to buy anything their again after this. I know its not the first time they have done this type of thing with video games.

Well after being contacted by a very nice rep, they ended up shipping my game, it seems they shipped everyones. Great deal of confusion AT FV about games,shipping, and release dates. But I got my game a few days after it shipped. I'm more satisfied now and will give FV another chance I just hope they handle things better on my next order .

Tried to give them another chance, they screwed again 3 times in a row they pull the same BS. This time I even waited until site said it was in stock, ordered and guess what ? After calling when it never shipped, its back ordered. If you try and cancel to buy somewheree else they ship it anyway. simply the worst online store I have ever dealt with. I really mean it its the last time. I have bought afew more things since this time that have worked out ok. Seems they have gotten bettter with time."
"Ordered heavenly sword from them and called them up to change the shipping address since I can't pick up packages at home. They said ok, guy assured me it was changed, and all done. Lo and behold they sent it to my home and DID not change the shipping address. Also item shipped 2 days after it was supposed to and this merchant somehow has the tendency to shaft people who Order EARLIER as well. People who ordered a month before actually get shipped after the people who order after. That's the way Familyvideo rolls... Avoid at all costs."
"I ordered a DVD boxset from them on the Sunday night and it was shipped out Monday and arrived Wednesday. I highly recommend them for their great prices and excellent shipping speed. The only down side was my DVD boxset shipped out in a bubble wrap mailer vs a box, but everything is fine. If I had ordered more it would probably be in a box."
"Good seller and prompt shipping. They ship it out within 1-2 days. However, you have two choices for shipping. Pay for UPS or the 99¢ shipping which takes 5-10 days. The bad part is that they don't provide a shipping # if you choose the 99¢ shipping method. Overall a good seller. It took 5 days for my order to get here with the 99¢ shipping."
