"I ordered a bunch of used Blu-rays from this place when they were running a sale. Prices were excellent and shipping for the whole order was only $2. My stuff shipping in segments, but all came in good condition. No scratches and everything played. Didn't have a problem, so I didn't deal with their customer service. Will definitely buy from again."

"They have the poorest customer service ever! They charged my acct 4 times for a movie I never recieved. I have now been dealing with customer service for over a month. They keep asking me for the same info that I have given them now about 6 times along with screen shots that show all the transactions they made to my card, and are now dragging their feet to return my $. "

"Family Video is a company that prides its self on valuing families, hence their company name. Although they claim to value families, their horrible employee policies keep their employees from having social lives outside of their job. Managers and Managers in training are required to work at least 44 hours a week and are not allowed to have any weekends off! Their hours range from 10AM to Midnight and they often end up working more than their required 44 hours. How do they expect parents to have time with their kids? or husbands to see their wives? They have other employees that could work weekends, but refuse to allow managers to have that time off. What kind of company that claims to value families, does not take the families of their employees into account. This company could flourish if they gave their employees at least one weekend off a month because they would be willing to work harder. Your employees are miserable and would be much happier working for this company if you let them have any weekends off to see their families and friends. Kids are being raised with one parent due to your awful scheduling of your employees! Start valuing the families that support your company and help it to be successful!"

"Cheap and fast shipping. They say on their site that they just sell the game without inserts, but they still sent them.

Shipping was 5-10 days standard and it came quickly 2-4 days but unsure because I didn't check my mail immediately.

"I ordered 2 used games from Family Video for a reasonable price. I was skeptical because I half expected them to be in terrible condition and look like they had been thrown out of a moving car but to my surprise, both arrived in excellent condition - almost like new. The site said that it did not include the manuals but they actually did. The discs look very clean as if they were well taken care of. Shipping was fast and the price was right. I've ordered from them once before and was just as satisfied."

"Ordered used copy of 2 disc DVD 'Casino Royale'. Received only 1 disc in the set. Same issue with another order. Ordered used copy of 2 disc DVD set 'Tideland' - received only 1 disc in the set'. Used copy 'Arctic Tale' was scratched badly.

Damaged discs have to be returned at buyer's expense. Horrible customer service as well very rude and discourteous. Will attempt to call Customer service again and update this review

"I pre-ordered GTA IV from familyvideo.com on April 13th and I decided to cancel on the 25th, so I knew it was fine to cancel since they didn't ship my order. I get an email the next morning (9 A.M.) telling me that my order shipped. It's like they expedited and prioritized my order just so they could charge me. I do not recommend familyvideo.com unless you are absolutely sure that you are not going to cancel your order.

Edit: 4/28 - I called Family Video and I was told that I can ship the item back through the Post Office back to them for free as long as I don't open the package. For anyone wondering, in order to do this you have to write "return to sender" on the package.

"I am always pleasantly surprised at FamilyVideo, whether it be their prices, their shipping, their selection, or all of the above. They are always contenders for the best prices on my entertainment purchases (DVD, Blu-ray and video games). On top of that, they offer unbeatable $1 shipping (3-4 days) and send their orders out in a timely manner. (They automagically shipped a preorder of mine a couple days in advance, knowing customers would receive them on its official release day.) I couldn't be happier about my orders with FV, they rock, and I highly recommend them."

"I have generally had a very positive experience with familyvideo.com they have reasonable prices and some great sale prices. The 99 cent shipping can't be beat even if it is the slower snail mail that some have complained about. I am mostly a cost conscious shopper, so am willing to wait especially for a great final price.

The reason I decided to write a review was because familyvideo just provided excellent service by replacing a damaged set of DVDs I sent as a gift for Christmas to a relative. To my delight they sent a new set directly to the recipient after I requested resolution...Thx familyvideo!

"Pre-Ordered (1) Everybody Loves Raymond Giftset DVD (026359797620) = $201.64. On November 8, received an email saying that it had shipped out and would be delivered in 5-10 business days. It never arrived. I called and talked with them and they said that if it didn't arrive in the next day or so to call back and they would send another set out in a quicker shipment. 2 days later it had not arrived so I called them again and they knew nothing of the call, but said they would see about sending out another set overnight mail and would call me the next day. They never called so 2 days later I called back and they told me they didn't think they could deliver overnight but would ask and call back. They called back and said they didn't have anymore it stock. This was already 2 weeks after it should have delivered. After talking with them they finally agreed to reimburse for the set. It is now December 11 and they still have not reimbursed me for this set. Very bad customer service. And they have totally ripped me off."

"Ordered on 15th, shipped on 20th Nov 07.
That's very slow, but Assassins Creed had a heavy demand, the FV had the cheapest price anywhere in the world at this time.
This is my third order from them, two have shipped slow, Halo3 shipped fast. I guess, you get three choics, cheap, fast, quality, and with FV you only can get two, cheap and quality, no speed.
I've never tried to cancel an order with them, but I hope the poster below knows that you can just refuse the shipment (just take the unopened box) and send it back through the post office. They can't charge you for it regardless of what they say. If they try, your credit card company will set them straight.

"Made a pre-order on Mass Effect and then decided I wanted to cancel. FamilyVideo is NOT allowing me to cancel the order even though the game is not to be released until next week, is not in stock (according to their website), and has not been shipped. It is completely unreasonable that I can not cancel due to these reasons. They are just wasting their time and mine."
