"placed an order online over the weekend.. part said in stock for SINXP1394 gigabyte board and it's the cheapest ANYWHERE. After reading this board, i thought i'd call them today to ensure they had it in stock. The lady on the phone said "yes" so i let it go. The tracking number is now posted on the website!! Shipped out!! I'd say this is the BEST outfit that i've ordered from so far with exception of newegg.com... those guys had a better selection of low-cost items. FTI computer was great in handling my order. I just hope there's no problem with the motherboard. :)

Yes, it had Infineon 3.3 or 3.6ns mem modules that doesn't allow speed of 325...

only that I confronted them and required a full refund including s/h. They agreed to do that. They got the card on 02/24/03, promised to issue a refund by the end of the Feb. Come 03/10/03 there was no refund so I called them and they refunded me on 03/14/03 WITHOUT s/h. I called them back and they stated it was properly clocked! I disputed the diff with my CC company and filed BBB complained.

"I was also duped by these guys for a NON Pro Radeon 9700.I ordered a Radeon Pro, and recieved a very low clockspeed core/mem of 263 Mhz. I was able to raise the clock speed a little, but nowhere near what a Pro runs at.My card has Infeneon 3.6 ns memory chips. They do not respond to emails.I forwarded all the the info to Maximum PC's Watchdog. I hope they will let other gamers know that these guys are stealing big bucks from the consumer. "

"As was the case with someone else who posted earlier, I ordered an OEM ATI Radeon 9700 Pro from FTIcomputer.com. I thought I was ordering a card clocked at standard speed (325/310). What I got was something clocked at around 297/267. That wasn't what I wanted, of course. They could have saved myself and themselves a lot of trouble had they just advertised the fact that these cards were underclocked. They do now, BTW. I have RMAed the board and they have agreed to credit my account. I attempted to order a another (properly clocked) card from them, but I was notified later via e-mail that the card was now out of stock. I asked them to cancel the order and respond via e-mail that they have done so. That was six says ago and I haven't heard back from them. Given what other people have been saying, I'm getting a little uneasy!

"Ordered an AMD MB from these guys. When I opened the package, was I surprised to see an Intel MB box! But, lo and behold, it turned out to be the right one after all. Unfortunately, it showed clear signs of previous usage--cable bag torn open, big scratches on the fan mount--and worst of all, it was DOA. Faxed in their RMA form, pretty fast response with RMA number. Shipped the MB back on 2/3/03; received refund on 2/19/03. Overall, I wouldn't use these guys again (more due to the sloppy way they sent me a previously used board than the DOA)."

"Ordered a Gigabyte Maya II Radeon 9700 pro from this company, as it seemed to be the only place that had them in stock / and at a good price. Well, after receiving it by UPS, I opened the box and immediately things seemed fishy. The card was in a non-sealed, wrinkled bag (as if it had been used previously and put back into the bag). A quick inspection of the card confirmed my fears. One of the capacitors on the board had broken away from the pcb on one side. Well, I still decided to give it a try. The card worked but I noticed a few periodic artifacts. So, I got an RMA number from them and sent it back via USPS "signature confirmation." That was ~ten days ago as of this typing - I'm still waiting on the credit. Please avoid this company."

"I came across FTI on PriceWatch.com. I had seen their name many times,but never ordered. I finally decided to try them out, and boy was I surprised. I spoke with an actual Tech Support person, regarding the compatibility of 2 components! Many other large sites have given up the technical support aspect of customer service. I would have never made this purchase had I not been able to verify the compability prior to ordering. I would definitely consult - and order - from FTI in the future, and recommend them to my friends!"

"Im not loading the board with negatives. But i do hope these get to the owner. A fellow tech locally just emailed me from the site. The female asian salesperson in the front or on the phone(load tone) is a complete rascist. He brought a relative who speaks korean and mandarin chinese because he was building him a system (he is a berlitz translater for the UN). They ended up not buying anything after waiting 25 minutes for someone to address them.

"I ordered a ATI 9700 oem because it was the cheapest on pricewatch. I was unhappy off the bat because they had shipped in in a little box then put inside a huge box with no packing stuffing or anything. The card arrived DOA or just didn't work in my motherboard since I found out later there was compability issues when there wasn't supposed to be. I got an RMA, sent it back, which I paid for ($8.92). Which is understandable, since it was probably the motherboard and not the card. I sent it back on 1/8/03 and JUST TODAY did I receive the money back in my checking account. And only the price of the card and not the original shipping amount.

Needless to say, this company seems shady. Those with good transacations be thankful. I would recommend paying a little more and just getting all your stuff from newegg, which I did with the rest of my computer parts. I ordered about seven different parts, had them shipped in good time, and only paid $20 for shipping. Great deal and great service.

As for FTI, I wont be going back.

"I ordered a pentium 2.4 boxed cpu with a 533 bus speed. My sales order number was 241571 from the return email I recieved before the order was shipped. When I recieved the order I got a pentium 2.4 with a 400 bus speed which is significently lower performance and not as advertised. The order was evidently edited because they no longer had the 533 bus speed in stock so the substituted the slower 400 one. The order number on the invoice I recieved with the shipment was 202001, which was different from my original order I placed on the internet, that is how I know they made the switch. I had already paid 47.91 dollars shipping which was a jip to say the least. It really should have cost around 10 dollars to ship the items I bought, ( 1 motherboard, 1 CPU, 1 video card and a memory stick), about 5 pounds all together. They now want me to pay shipping back to them again for their mistake. If I return the whole order and cancel it I am out of all of the shipping I paid original and the what ever it cost to ship it back again ( probably about 8 to 9 dollars) more, so I will have lost around 60 dollars for doing this transaction. I will never do business with this company again. Read their policies before you order anything - they are designed to make you keep what ever they choose to send you because you cannot afford to send it back."

"After much shopping around, I decided to order an ATI Radeon 9700 pro from these guys, since they had the lowest price. What they failed to mention was that the card in question was significantly underclocked (compared to every other oem radeon 9700 pro board). I found this out the day after I ordered it, but I was prepared to live with it, since it was still a fast card.

My trouble began when the card arrived DOA. I called their RMA dept and asked for a cross ship, which they agreed to. Two weeks later, I called to check on the status only to find out they never shipped it. So, I ended up sending the DOA card back to them for a refund. And guess what they refunded? Just the price of the card, not even the original shipping charges!

So, it cost me darn near $20 and several weeks' worth of time just for me to test a DOA card for them. Thanks a lot FTI, you'll never see me again!

"Since FTI was in my area I called them up to see if they allowed for pick-ups and they said they did. However when I get to their location, the woman working there acts like she never dealt with a customer face to face before. She was very short tempered and rude the wholetime.
