"I ordered a pair of glasses from this website, and when I received them, I wasn't very happy with the way they looked. I contacted Emma from Customer Service, who handled my return and shipment of my order seamlessly. She was quick to respond,very friendly, and made it a point to go above and beyond. Shipping was extremely fast, and the second pair was exactly what I wanted. "I was very skeptical to order from this website based on all of the negative reviews, but I decided to take a chance. According to their website, "Most orders are processed and are ready to ship within 2-3 business days and should arrive within three to five business days after shipment." That is absolutely false! I ordered the glasses on April 24th, and three weeks later I finally have them. About 1 1/2 weeks into the order, with no response from them, I ended up emailing customer service (after reading horror stories about their phone line) to see where my glasses were and I was fortunate enough to get a quick response. I was assured they would be shipped in 2-3 days. I checked my email in 2-3 days and I got an update on my order: backorder. At this point I was ready to cancel my order, but I was leaving on a week long trip and just didn't have time. I got back from the trip and my email said the order was shipped. A few days later I finally have my glasses. Basically the whole process took about 3 weeks (not the 2-3 days they claim). If you have the opportunity to wait and don't mind contacting customer service, I would recommend the website because I did get a great price on cheap glasses. Otherwise, if you want a mess free transaction, pay a little extra and go to a different website. "

"Had a great experience with this company. Got an amazing price on a pair of Ray-Bans with anti-reflective coating at a fraction of the cost of the retail chains. They had fast, free shipping and customer service was courteous and responsive. After accidentlly scratching a lens on my glasses after trying to tighten a screw on one of the spring hinges that became loose (a manufacturer problem), they repaired them at no cost. I have already recommended this website to friends and family who wears glasses. I will definitely be a return customer!"

"I had read some negative reviews about this company, but decided to purchase from them anyway. I have traveled to many places where people have given horrible reviews and they have been totally great to me so. Anyway back to eyeglasses4all. I received an e-mail stating it would take 2 weeks till shipping. No problem at this point. Not a week later glasses were in and they were on there way. About 5 days later I get a message from USPS that the glasses had been mis-sent, but the error was corrected. So I give another 5 days and no eyeglasses. By this time I e-mail eyeglasses4all customer service. Which I was very please because everyone of my e-mails was answered by their customer service within the next day. Chloe, one of the cust serv agent assured me that she had contacted USPS personally to find my glasses. She told me if I didn't see a change, within 3 days, in my USPS tracking page to let her know. Well by the 2nd day I didn't see any movement so I sent her an e-mail telling her I couldn't wait anymore and that I would start proceedings for a refund. She was very sorry and understood and said she would help me as soon as she located the package. I received the glasses that afternoon. I was very happy and so was my son. The glasses were for him. I guess USPS doesn't update their tracking page like they should. Anyway I got my glasses they are perfect. The prescription was right on and their cust serv was on it. Thank you!

"I was a bit weary of this site since I had read a few bad reviews here on this site. After reading that some people never got their order or receiving damaged lenses I was hesitant to pull the trigger, but I took the chance thinking that I would fight it out with my credit card company if push came to shove. I have to admit the entire process was pretty painless. I order my prescription glasses from the site on may 1st and received them 7 days later in perfect condition on may 8th. They did not charge my card until I actually signed for the package. The glasses were in perfect condition and as far as I can tell the lenses are exactly my prescription. I don't know exactly what happened with some of the other people that have used this site but I can say that I had a very positive experience with this seller."

"This is *the absolute* best place to get glasses. I found them through a search on Froogle - they came up as the lowest price for a pair of Prada frames I wanted. The non-generic / couture eyeglasses are 100% genuine and very inexpensive. The prescriptions are also excellent quality and inexpensive. Moreover, if you happen to find a better price somewhere else, the customer service representatives are very friendly and willing to offer a 110% price guarantee. Plus, shipping is free (including returns if the glasses were over $150); even if you filled a prescription there's a 30 day money back guarantee! Most other low-cost couture eyeglasses websites and retail stores charge an exorbitant 20% restocking fee for returns but not at eyeglasses4all. Furthermore, you get your product in about a week! Moreover, if you happen to scratch your lenses, they offer free replacement lenses within 6 months of purchase.

Though the hours to speak to someone "in person" / over the phone are not ideal (Mon-Thurs 10am to 5pm and Friday 10am to 1pm) I think this is a family run business (at least that's how it seems) which adds to the warmth and one-on-one customer experience. I am definitely a loyal customer now. This is the first place I'll check in the future when I want new glasses.

UPDATE: 6/12/2012
I have been trying to reach someone by phone for two weeks now to get a return shipping label and authorization number for a pair of Prada sunglasses. There is just an automated message that says they will be closed for Memorial day, then the call goes straight to voicemail. The e-mail query I sent was responded to within one business day but I was not given a return label or RMA because the representative said she needed an order number. I included the order # in my original mail! Even if I didn't include an order number, if I give a description, shouldn't the rep be able to check my account and see the order herself? I only ordered one pair of Prada sunglasses.

After realizing that she overlooked the order # in my mail, the rep sent me another mail saying that she couldn't give me a label because their UPS system was down. What??? First no label because she didn't know the order number, then, because she couldn't access UPS. She promised to send me a label in the next day or two. That was six days ago and I still haven't received anything.

I just tried to go to their website and was given an error that said:
Server Error

500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

Umm - nobody is answering the phones, the message about being closed for Memorial Day has been on and sending calls straight to voicemail for the past two weeks (I asked why in my e-mail correspondence but was not given an answer), the UPS system to create return shipping labels is "down", and now the website is unavailable.

All this in addition to a mistake made with a different order - they sent me black instead of red frames. I re-ordered the red frames on 5/3 and waited several weeks until the "processing" status was updated to "back order." I have no idea how long they will be on back order or when /if I will receive them.

Something is very wrong.

Eyeglasses4all.com may just be hit or miss. I think they're mostly miss. I had a very positive experience the first time but since then it's been all down hill.


UPDATE: 9/25/2012
I decided to re-update my review after discovering something very odd. Emma told me to send her correspondence at ****@****. I was communicating with her through this address (and still have the e-mails.) Recently, I found out that eyenmore.com is a *totally separate* store with nobody named Emma working there. What's more, I was told that they did not know someone else was getting their e-mails. I'm not sure if there was a glitch in the system or what since I have 17 e-mails back and forth between me and Emma at that address. It was only at our final mail where I complained about her customer service that she told me she was getting my correspondence "indirectly" and my e-mails were incomplete (her reason for repeatedly asking me for information that was written in my mail.) She would not tell me why they were incomplete.

Why would she tell me to contact her at an e-mail address unrelated to her company if she knew that she would not get my full mail? Why did she wait until the last of 17 e-mails to tell me that I was writing to her at the "wrong address?"

Furthermore, I noticed it was *after* I complained about my customer service with Emma that multiple reviews for eyeglasses4all appeared, mentioning her as particularly helpful. I'm not sure if Emma solicited positive reviews for herself by promising a 5% discount (as she did with me), but it is very coincidental. The whole experience is unexplained and at least strange if not suspicious.

"I never write reviews but I could not help it. Please beware before you purchase from this company. I ordered a pair of Ray Ban glasses for cheaper than I found anywhere online. It took over two weeks to receive my order. I tried to call several times to check on my order because they did not send me any email updates. I tried calling for two hours and was continually put on hold by someone mumbling "eyeglasses hold" I finally gave up trying. When I threatened to cancel my order via email they suddenly responded and told me they were on the way. I just got them and they are badly bent and the right arm is 1/2 inch longer than the left arm so they sit on my face totally crooked. Seriously! What am I supposed to do. I'm afraid to send them back that I won't get a refund. Just spend the money and buy from a reputable place. Just call and listen to their customer service and you'll see how terrible it is."

"Ok so I ordered a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that were half the cost of the ones at the mall. I saved $80. I was worried after I ordered them as I saw all these reviews that were not that great and then lots that seemed a little "too great" as if someone from the company wrote them. ( I'm cynical) Anyways, got my glasses in 10 days they are perfect and authentic and awesome. I had to write this as I think good service deserves to be acknowledged.I am only giving 4 stars in case you are cynical like me and don't quite believe a 5 star rating which is what this site really gets in my books."

"After a local company wanted $600 for frames and lenses I decided to try my luck online for the same combo. I found a few retailers online for $250-$300 and eyeglasses4all.com priced to $200 so I jumped on the deal.

2 days after I placed the order I got a call from the rep saying the frame size I requested was no longer available so I said no problem substitute for the size in stock. She said the order would be processed that day and ship out the next day. After 5 days the order was still showing as "pending shipment." I called and the rep said the glasses had shipped and I would receive them tomorrow or the following day. I said great as I wanted to have them before I left the country for a week.

The glasses came a week later postmarked 3 days after I was told they had already shipped.

When I received the frames they where bent pretty bad and sat very crooked on my face. They where in nowhere near the condition I would expect for new frames. I took them to the local walmart vision center and a nice lady used their equipment to adjust them and fit them and did not charge me for it.

I did get glasses for $200 instead of $600, and the told turnaround time was 11 business days, which isn't horrible. I was outright lied to by the rep and the glasses where in poor condition. Next time I will pay a little more for a different online retainer.
