The Blutooth and LINK capability/app makes this meter many times more effective vs units without this capability. As long as you are within the range of the Bluetooth capability (75-100 feet), it's much easier just seeing the various readings on your phone (or your computer with downloaded data via the Dongle) as opposed to only looking at the meter itself.

Being a former Fire Lookout a decade or so ago, this meter makes life so much easier to get all the necessary readings without having to carry around and use various tables.

My only nit: whereas the Fine Dead Fuel Moisture % (FDFM) is visible on the PIG (Probability of Ignition) screen on the meter itself, FDFM cannot be read via LINK/I Phone. I sent a note to ALLKESTREL and their customer support rep indicated they will do a future firmware update to enable FDFM to have its own recordable data field like all the other indices and then it would also be visible on LINK and one's phone.
