"A reviewer said he would NOT have ordered from this company if he had first read the poor reviews, but he had a good transaction. I totally agree with both statements. I ordered a cordless phone and it shipped in 6 hours and arrived in 72 hours. The unit was new, in pristine condition, and worked fine. I have no experience with their customer service, except on their website where I was able to track my item with no hassel at all. I feel fine about them."

"First I must say that if I had seen all the negative reviews before I made the purchase I probably would not have dealt with this company.

Fortunately for me I had a very positive experience with them. I bought a router from Electronica Direct via Amazon. They sent me an email with the USPS Priority Tracking # as soon as the item was shipped (before Amazon did). It was shipped the same day I ordered it and I received it two days later.

In fact, the only thing that brought me here to check the rating was the fact that I couldn't find a physical address on their site or anywhere else. After I placed the order I wanted to find out where it might ship from to see how long it would take. Also, their WhoIs info is a little odd for a company - especially if they are reputable. But as I already mentioned, my experience was completely positive. For anyone else interested my package shipped from Kearny, NJ - I don't know if that's their only location or just one of their shipping centers...

"I have received the best retail service from ElectronicaDirect that I've received in YEARS! My wife ordered for me a networkable Western Digital 2TB hard drive for my birthday. She only found Electronice Direct by price comparing. The product was almost $100 cheaper than our local big chain electronics store.

She accidently ordered the wrong one. I was crushed and thought we were scr@wed. She called and they said to return it, at our cost-no biggie... it was OUR mistake. The day after we tracked it as being received by them, my wife's credit card was refunded the full price. I immediately re-ordered the correct item I wanted and I received it in a couple days. I didn't even mention the whole story, simply reordered.

This all happened in less than 11 days.

IF YOU'RE THINKING OF BUYING FROM ELECTRONICA DIRECT, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. In future, when I decide to treat myself for some goodies, I'm surely checking to see if they have it first!!!!

"avoid these people at all costs. Not worth the headache and long waits on their "support" line. Ordered through amazon a router from them. Waited a week. UPS shows "Exception" missing apartment number so they basically sent my order with a wron address. emailed a few times and no response. finally got through to support on their line. The lady sounded like she was sleeping and i just woke her up. They would not call UPS to reroute it and instead offered to send it back once they get it again. Thanks but no thanks i don't want to wait another 20 days to get this. I've ordered tons of stuff from newegg, amazon and others but this was the first dealing with these guys. Do not order. the lower price is not worth the headache and dealing with them.

when i called to reverify with the "sleeping" support lady.. she actually read back my full correct address. Did that happen by magic?
I ordered through amazon and i double checked my address it was the correct one there and correct one in your system. You guys screwed up so stop trying to make it appear as it's the customer's fault. look at your rating here. enough said.

"Very disappointed with Electronica Direct. Placed an order on a Sennheiser PC350 headset for a very good price (order placed through Amazon). Both Amazon and Electronica Direct listed the item as in stock.

However, the next day I received an email from Electronica Direct saying that my order had been canceled due to them being oversold. However, they still had the item listed as in stock online (albeit with a much higher price). Also note that there was no mention of "while supplies last" on the lower price offering.

I mentioned to them that I would gladly wait for the item to be back in stock, but they claimed that I would have to pay the higher price for the item.

Would never do business with again, and recommend against anyone else doing business with them either. They don't seem to have their act together with either sticking to their prices or updating their website in a timely manner.

"Got the Item a Garmin GPS and it was broken. Tried to call the same day and they were closed until the 29th of Dec. Also sent emails. Called on Dec 29th and they said you have to return in 7 days!!! But they were closed!!! This is a total rippoff. If I had read reviews of this company I never would have bought from them. You think you're buying from Amazon and it turns out to be another comapny. Electronicadirect.com is a RIPOOFF do not buy anything from them. Buyer BEWARE!!! "

"I'm very dissatisfied with Electronica Direct web store. Customer Support is unreachable. They put you on hold for 20-30 minutes. I wrote 3 emails, and never got a respond.
I had bad experience with them and would strongly NOT recommend to deal with store.

"As with everyone else in late August 2008, I separately ordered 2 video cards (EVGA GTX 260). I received an email on the first order saying it was processing. Then I received another email for my second order saying it was cancelled. I emailed them and asked about my first order - no response. In checking my credit card statement, they only charged me for one of the 2 orders - then refunded that order. Ridiculous."

"I ordered a GTX 260 SC gpu (all the negative reviews below in aug. is in regards to the gtx 260 gpu deal that ElectronicaDirect had offered) and thought that they had some in stock. But it took ElectronicaDirect more than 2 days for them to tell the buyers that they ran out. It caused me to lose time and chance to buy the gpu at another place. If ElectronicaDirect didn't have it,then they should have said so from the get-go and had place some sort of limiter to tell consumers how many they had. Instead of holding my money for 4 days, they should have either refunded my money on the same day due to "no more in stock" or rain-check the item when the gpu become available.
I will not buy anything from ElectronicaDirect in the future and this incident has force me to give ElectronicaDirect a FAIL, thus OWN3D.

"They took forever to process my order, and when they finally did, the item was backordered and wouldn't be restocked.

"Slow as h*ll processing of orders! I placed an order on a Wednesday morning, with item in stock. Receive an email two days later indicating product is out of stock, and cannot be re-ordered. Baloney! There are a ton of other online retailers still offering the item for sale. Meanwhile, other retailers who also showed item in stock from same warehouses that ElectronicaDirect (= CompUPlus) uses, were shipping product that was ordered *after* my order. Had they not been so slow to process the order, the warehouse would not have been out of stock. Meanwhile, I'm left scrambling to order the item elsewhere, and missed an opportunity for a good price, as my order was processing (according to their web-site). Terrible customer service, and SUPER SLOW!"

"Stay away from this company! Ordered video card, waited for two days (outrageous processing time!) to find out they didn't have any in stock!
