"THIS ONE OF THE WORST STORES I EVER DEALT WITH!

THEIR staff Roy L.(ext. 228) told me that the camera i have ordered was in stock and will get to me in 5-7 days. It has been two weeks now, November 30th. i ordered it on November 15th. I still have not received my order. I called their customer service number ***-***-****), put me on hold for a very long time, and they told me that the camera have not been shipped out yet due to the fact that they do not have it in stock. Well, Roy L. appearantly told me that they did and charged me for that order. Now, they said that they have not received the item from Sony. Sure... i did not receive any email regarding that they were out of stock or anything. I was left in the dark pondering when will my package arrive.

This store is one of the worst ever! and i think its a fraudulant company also. First off, when you call them, they will say that their company is some other company listed on the site, second, you will have to call them back to confirm your order, and they will bride you for about 15 minutes to add on uneccessary items, EVENTHOUGH you told them a million times that you dont want it. a famous line they kept saying was "you know what (YOUR NAME) i feel really sorry for you that you are not getting THIS and THAT, so i'll tell you what..." i'll add this on and that on and this on and all for 300 dollars.. blah blah blah.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER! i even think all those "CNET" certified certificates and what not are frauds and fake on their website also.

"I was very pleased with my recent shopping experience. We had purchased this LCD TV online with another company and waited weeks and it still was not delivered, no one knew where the product was and they would not give us a credit until they investigated the issue. We then cancelled the order and surfed the net for another company, found Electrodiscounts and thought the price was too good to be true, $100 less, well we went with it and requested the ground shipping and we had it in 4 days. We have never had that experience with an other company, and we were able to track the shipping through the email Electrodiscounts sent us which was very good and very easy. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. ... "

"Bait and Switch!! I ordered online. Placed item in my shopping cart. Shipping was added. I confirmed order and placed on credit card. Order accepted. They sent me confirmatory e-mail with the sale and the price. The following day I receive an e-mail asking me to call. I am told that the price "went up a bit" and the new price was $1000.00 more than the price on the site!

"Electrodiscounts.com (a.k.a. Marine Park Camera and Video) is a fraudulent company, and should not be dealt with. BUYER BEWARE, do your research on this company. Check the New York Better Business Bureau (this company is based in Brooklyn), there have been dozens of complaints filed against this company under their Marine Park name. I purchased a camera from electrodiscounts.com, then canceled my order as I became uncomfortable with their business practices (e.g. no invoice Emailed, delays in shipping). They sent the order anyway, and denied that I had canceled my order. I bounced the camera back to them when it arrived. More than ten calls to the company, three trips to the police station, and two trips to my bank, were required to get a refund. And, this refund was NOT issued by electrodiscounts, but the bank reimbursed me via their fraud insurance. "

"Why do we go online for shopping? For me, 1) to get a lower price, and 2) to avoid the pretend-to-be-an-expert sales representative at the store. This store completely failed me for the second reason. I ordered my camera on 9/3 and they have not shipped my camera until today, 9/8. The reason? To confirm my address according to them over the phone. They sent me an email to call them for 'additional information needed to process my order.' And the person over the phone started to explain all accessories and warranty plans that I 'should' have. C'mon. I have used this camera for over a year (borrowed from my work) and know this one pretty well. And this person treated me like a 5-year-old who never had experience with any camera. I will now see how fast my order will arrive. If you have to buy from this store, make sure that you call them first and ask them not to delay for any marketing purposes."

"So far I am not impressed despite the positive reviews for this company. I placed an order with them four days ago for an item that they claim is in stock. I received an e-mail saying that they needed to speak with me before they could process the order. When I called, I got the pressure sales pitch to purchase accessories and an extended warranty (they had all of my correct information which they acknowledged so the only reason for the call was the sales pitch). I broke down and bought the warranty thinking that it would speed the process along. No such luck. Now several days after the call I find out that my item still has not shipped despite the fact that Scott L. told me it would ship that same day and would arrive in 3-5 days. The person I spoke with this morning said that when it does ship (supposedly today--but I have heard that before), it will take 7-10 days. They still say it is in stock. Maybe they are getting too much business because of the positive reviews and can't keep up with the orders. Whatever the reason, I am not happy so far with the delivery speed and customer service (or lack thereof).

I called again today to check on my order since it was supposed to ship on Friday and I did not receive an e-mail saying it shipped. I was told the item was not in stock, but should arrive in a couple of days. I cancelled the order because in the week that I waited for them to ship my item, the price on the item went down at more reputable dealers, so I am purchasing the item elsewhere.

"I bought a Fuji F10 from Electrodiscounters which was shipped from MARINE PARK CAMERA & VIDEO, a NY camera company.

I got the standard "call us at 1-800-xxx" e-mail.

Sent them a note saying I didn't want to talk to a salesman, wanted no accessories, and that they weren't authorized to back order the camera.

They finally shipped the camera two days later. I received the camera on 22 July (5 day service).

Other than this not really being an "on-line" store, because they want to give you the hard sell vice just selling you the camera, product was delivered as promised.

"They did email me after I placed my order and said I needed to call before they would ship order out. When I called they just tried to give me a hard sell on every imaginable accessory. After saying "no" 20 times, finally the order was put through. Great price, good restocking fee (only 5%) but their timeframe for returns is only 14 days on cameras, kind of short. They also shipped the camera out quickly which was pleasant."

"Sold goods they did not have in stock. They used misleading techniques to have me call them, under the asumption there was a problem with the order. The only point of the call was to give them a chance to up-sell more goods. They have made mistakes (in their favor) in billing my credit card (multiple times) and now are not acting in a timely manner to issue the credit."

"This is one of the worst online stores ever. I ordered a camera over a week ago. It said it was in stock and was to ship within 2 business days. The next day I got an email saying that I must contact them for some reason. When I did I was asked if I wanted any other accesories. What a cheap way to sell their overpriced products! After 3 business days I get an email saying that due to an entry error my order has been delayed and will be shipped withing 1-3 business days. I contacted their customer service department and asked about the status of my order. By the way, their operators are not nice at all! Anyway, she said that due to backorder from Canon, my camera was delayed and it would be shipped on Monday. So why was I not told this and instead told there was a data entry error? Their service is totally unsatisfactory. If I actually needed it for today, but it is too late. I will never buy again from this site again. Don't waste your time."
