"the bad ratings are NO mistake. It appears that the HP touchpad only highlighted their already shady way of doing business. Looking at the prior reviews clearly illustrates what scumbags operate this so called company. While I am not "fretting" getting my money back by my credit card company, I am though throughly disgusted with their hiding tactics, no way possible can the phone be busy only during working hours. 3 days to respond to a simple email is ridiculous. google maps street view illustrate that the place cant be bigger than 15k square feet even if they occupy the whole building, its not like there is multi layers of management and staff there, and there is difficulty identifying the correct "department" for shipping, inventory or communications. Doesnt matter about the crush of orders, yada yada.. their system should have been able to count orders versus inventory and shut it down once the threshold was achieved. There is NO excuse for "oops we oversold, we are cancelling your order" WTFFFF??!!! If they cant do business properly, they have no reason to be in business. Next correspondence is to the BBB in the local area."

"Bought a touchpad @ $135.90 even more than what it's suppose to be priced, have yet to see a shipping number and their main contact number ***-***-**** on the website is always busy. What's the deal? You either have the product and ship it out, or just take consumers money and run with it. "

"I am another TouchPad customer who has been ripped off.
In the 3 days of a pending order, but my credit card showing it has been charged I sent several emails (polite) asking what was happening.
Finally my card company (Chase) told me they have had a lot of issues with Erwincomp never issuing refunds.
My next email wasn't as polite. I told them I wanted a response, just to know they received these emails, or I was going to dispute the charges. Less than 5 minutes later I have received a very rude response calling me a deadbeat and insisting I had given them the wrong billing information. They claim to have cancelled my orders, but my card company says they haven't submitted anything.

Overall; Not only are they charging more than the MSRP, they claim the shipping is free then add a $6 charge, and then they insult you for questioning their practices. Stay AWAY!

"So I ordered a HP Touchpad tablet, and they oversold it. So I contacted them, and they replied rather quickly and said they would cancel my order. I was please, but realized that they still need to credit my money back to my account, considering how quickly they charged me I'm concerned about whether or not I'm getting my money back."

"Erwin Computers oversold the HP Touchpad tablet and has yet to even contact me regarding my order. I received a confirmation that my order was placed, and money was held from my bank account.

As of Wednesday (8/24/11) it has been two days since my order was placed. I've attempted to contact them via phone and received either a busy signal or have waited on hold for over 1 hour (3 times now) only to be hung up on.

Vendor is not returning emails inquiring about my order.

"Terrible company. Ordered a harddrive, never came. Went to check the status and it said the order was cancelled. I emailed them for an answer and they told me my order was cancelled because they can't ship to an address other than my billing address unless I use google checkout. They claim they emailed me, but I never received an email. It doesn't state anywhere on the site that this would be an issue. And why would they give you an option to fill out a different shipping address if they can't do it? Order was a gift, and now I can't get it in time for my friend's birthday. Would never order from again."

"I made my first purchase last week. I was able to get a hard to item that was in stock and reasonable under MSRP. I emailed them to confirm the availability and they responded within a few hours with a confirmation. I purchased the product and it was promptly shipped and I received it within a few days with USPS delivery confirmation. I am very impressed with their prices and shipping. I will definitely consider erwincomp.com again"

"I don't do reviews but feel that this company deserves a review from my side of the fence. I ordered the City Navigator DVD on Dec 31. They took my money out of my account for 71.95 and then on Jan 2nd I called and asked them to expedite my order to faster shipping and they agreed to the request, the next morning when I looked at my bank statement I found that they had taken out another 76.90 from my account. I called and no one was there to answer there phone. I sent them e-mails and called the next day they put me on hold for 20 min, I e-mailed them once more telling them that since I made the payment via my Visa that I would go to the bank and ask them to get my refund. They answered this request with a cancellation of the order but only one of them. Now I'm out the DVD and the 71.95.
If your looking at there prices and thinking that this is a deal you can't pass by please think again. If your lucky like the ones that say they can't believe that people have a hard time with this company then by all means go ahead and order, but please think before doing it.
I'm still going to my bank and having them deal with them if they don't come up with a solution to this problem.
I will update this when I get this resloved or taken care of by my bank.

"I've never used erwincomp.com before. I was doing some last minute searching for a hard-to-find gift 2 days before Christmas, and they had it!

I placed my order on 12/23 and ordered with overnight shipping, hoping that it would allow for my wife's present to arrive on time. I also wrote to the customer service email letting them know about the importance of the package.

ErwinComp was closed for the night but, they got back to me the next day. They advised me that unfortunately, UPS didn't pick up Christmas eve and they offered to make any changes to the order that I would like, or to even cancel it if I wanted.

I emailed them back asking them to downgrade my shipping to standard UPS shipping rather than overnight. On Monday when they re-opened on Monday, they got right back to me, made the change and shipped my order.

I had been nervous going with a company I have never used before and then checked resellerratings.com after the fact. There were some negative reviews. However, my experience doesn't fit those at all.

My package is set to be delivered tomorrow. The base price was less than Amazon for the same product at that point in time. With shipping it was only $2 over the Amazon price, not to mention IN STOCK!

I'd use erwincomp.com/erwincomputers again.

"I don't understand all the negative reviews for Erwincomp. I ordered from them yesterday (before I read all the negative reviews they have)and received my merchandise today. That was with standard shipping. Great place to do business with and very very fast delivery. Don't believe all the negative reviews."

"This company must be going out of business. I placed the order for a GPS for Christmas and they never sent it. I called for days and never got anyone, on hold for 30 min then cut off each time. I finally got someone and they said the GPS was now in stock and they would send it. I waited another 10 days and never got the GPS or an email. I have been trying to call ever since and have not gotten through. I also sent emails with no response. Really bad news for an internet company."

"Horrible customer service! I ordered my product and they sent me a email with the confirmation. It said it will be shipped out in 3-5 days. I waited and nothing came. I went to check my status on their site and it said the order was cancelled! I got no email notifying me of this and no reason as to why! I tried to call them numerous times for answers and wasa on hold for 30 mins each time, finally gave up. This was a Xmas gift for my daughter and now I have to scramble last minute to find something else!"

"Horrible customer service, and 7 days later, my item, GPS, never even got off hold status. Wife called for 3 days inquiring about this. Finally after 3 days of being hung up on or on hold for 40+ mins. We said forget it and Canceled Order. This in itself was a venture, as trying to get ahold of someone was ridiculous. Do Not Buy From This Company."
