The No Bull Guarantee is total Bull

"I drove all the way to a store (30 miles) to exchange something that was failing. I’d called Customer Service to make sure that was an acceptable way to return a catalog order item. It was. The rude clerk at the store refused to let me exchange my item after I’d spent time picking out a replacement item in the store. This was at the Mount Horeb, WI store. I will never go there again. Wasted gas to get there and time and then clerk embarrassed me in front of other customers.

Again I called the service number when I got home. They said I could mail it back - which costs a lot- and the return department would give me a refund of whatever amount they decided-which I bet would be a small fraction of the $40 the item cost me. Then add my cost of shipping- and it’s a total waste of time and money to use the BS non-guarantee.

I’m a 20 year customer. Will never use the catalog or retail store again.

Stupid clerk lost the company a long term customer who used to be a fan of Duluth.

Terrible Experience with Online Shopping

"Purchased online and the shirts were too large. Just wanted the same shirts a size smaller. Was told they are still 4 days from processing it meaning it will take over two weeks for a simple return."

They charge $7.99 to return

"I can’t believe they charge $7.99 to return very expensive merchandise. So you pay for the privilege of pay premium prices. Will never order from them again!"

Worst experience ever

"ook them over a month to ship my order. When I called about the delay, they told me it had been processed and was just waiting to ship. several days later they emailed me saying just kidding, we're out of the item you ordered. I changed my order and and they told me it would arrive at my home in two days. After the third day of waiting, they emailed again saying they were out of that too. Worst experience that I have ever had ordering from a company and worst customer service I have ever seen. I ended up canceling the entire order after multiple emails back and forth with them, six phone calls to their customer service department and forty five days after my original order and still no jacket."

Horrible Service

"Duluth may say they have a no bull guarantee but they are the worst on-line retailer with whom I have ever dealt. I made an order on 01/09 for a very common item. I then got an email that said the item was on back order and would arrive by 02/12. I had a "chat" with them on 02/09 telling them my item was a Valentine present. I was told that it would be shipped and at worst it would only be a few days late. I accepted that and am still waiting. 02/19 I had another "chat" and was told that the item came in on 02/12. It would probably ship today, after close of business 02/19. I still have no item and no tracking number. This is really terrible service, seven days after receipt of a five week previous order and they still have not bothered to send the order. It's no wonder they have such terrible reviews but, like me, others probably did not look at these reviews prior to ordering. It's not surprising that there is no place on their website to put comments about their service."

Dies not honor sales ad

" I tried to place an order this afternoon on a pair of pants that was on sale in the email Duluth had sent me for 30% off which would’ve made the pants 49 bucks. The man that I spoke with kept telling me over and over there was no sale I was looking at the email the whole time and basically read itto him, in its entirety. He continued to say there is no sale ma’am I continued saying why did you send me an email telling me there was a sale. This went on for at least 8 to 10 minutes. After I had read basically the entire ad he says, oh this was a flash sale, it ended ended January 28 at 12:30 PM. I tried to place the ad this afternoon January 31 around 2:30 PM I could live the rest of my life with nothing from Duluth Trading Company however I have a son that loved those pants they’ll never get another dime from me. Perhaps someone at Duluth will figure out a satisfied customer is worth more than all the advertising in the world! "

Return/Exchange Horrible!

"I have waited for over a month for them to process and exchange an order that I purchased two weeks before Christmas. Not only have I not received my items (40) days later, my debit card was charged $13.00+ for using their return label and taxes. Why am I paying taxes twice? Why do I have to pay to use your return label that you provide me with. Crazy!!!! This is my LAST time ordering from Duluth Trading! "

Very incompetent and horrible customer service

"In November, I ordered a cold weather dog vest. It NEVER arrived to the mailing location. Waited longer than necessary to see if it would show up. When it didn't, I contacted Duluth Customer Service. I didn't want them to resend another, since the need for the vest was past the weather condition I wanted my dog to wear it in. I asked for a refund. I was assured it would be done. After waiting a month, no refund. Had to make another call to Customer Service, and they put me in touch with "someone that can get the job done". It didn't happen. Another call to them and I was assured that they would make it happen this time. A credit to my credit card for the shipping and then a check sent for a refund. How ridiculous is that! A month goes by and no refund check. Back on the phone to this company, having to go through the entire scenario again. They have incompetent and horrible customer service. 2 months later and I'm still waiting for my "refund check". I was back on the phone today 1/11/19 and was promised by a new representative "I will make this happen". Not sure when this story will be over. I'm now suppose to wait 10 days to get the refund check. You know the old story: "Check's in the mail"!"

Online order never arrived

"Ordered the weekend after Thanksgiving for Christmas gifts. The items never arrived. After several phone call and long wait times on hold I was told they would 2 day air my order. Only 1/2 of my order arrived After another phone call and long wait time on hold, I was told that 2 of the items would be over nighted. 13 days later those items have yet to arrive. They could not refund my credit card because it was a replacement order. So I am waiting again for a check with the refunded amount of the items I never received! Lots of excuses but no satisfaction!"

Honor sale pricing

"Duluth trading does not honor sale pricing and their customer service department told me to purchase product multiple times then just return the items as that would be the only way to purchase using a sale code"

Do not shop at Duluth Trading Company

"I ordered seven pairs of underwear at ~$20 a pair (wow! Expensive!) - but I had tried them before and liked them. I paid $25 extra for 2-day delivery. 5 days after ordering, the tracker showed my order was still sitting in the warehouse in PA. As a result, I did not have the order in time for a business trip that was going to occur 7 days after I had ordered. When I called to complain, I got a nice, soft-speaking customer rep who said she would fix the problem and ship the order to me. It's been 26 days and I still do not have my order. I just spoke to customer service and they claim there was a problem with my address. I have three businesses that receive mail at this address every day. To add insult to injury, I got a notice from the mail handler that I had a package at the post office. To claim the package, I had to pay $1.28 in postage that Duluth Trading Company didn't pay. When I was given the package, it wasn't my underwear - it was a catalog. My underwear didn't make it because of a problem with the address, but they were successful in delivering a catalog to the same address? I'm done with Duluth Trading company - they are expensive and they don't give 2 cents about their customer base, of which I am no longer a member. I've got better things to do than chase down orders from a company that is apathetic to its customers. Would rather go to Walmart..."

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EMAILS

"They're clothing is ok, but pricey.
If you sign up for their email, you will be getting the same deals as going to their website. However once subscribed, they make it near impossible to unsubscribe. And when you try to unsubscribe, you get the pop up surveys.
So don't subscribe, there's no benefit unless you like spam.
They do good accepting returns, however if they don't have a store near you, you will likely have to pay for shipping back.

Poor customer service!!

"I have been purchasing their products for 8 years. I ordered Christmas and Birthday gifts on December 15th. For some reason they didn't ship until the 20th. Finally arrived on the 26th. Needless to say I had to go out on the 24th and replace the 12 gifts Duluth couldn't get here on time even when they "guaranteed by Christmas." Duluth said it wasn't their fault. I strongly disagree. They do not want to credit me for the $316 dollar order. Their customer service/shipping is terrible. I'm shipping everything I have bought in the last years back to them for their "No bull guarantee". Ya, I'm dissatisfied with their service. I'll go back to Carhart at the local store. I'm a general contractor and I will be sharing my story with all my contractor friends. Duluth doesn't care about their customers anymore!!!!!

They make return difficult

"Well, I decided to return my order and in their website, it says you need to enter a 12-digit order number. The order number that I found on my email is only 8-digit. Orders should be able to be returned by finding the order number in the email they sent you but this was not enough. When I checked their website, it says order number that was on the packing slip. So I had to go to the garage, dig through the plastic bags that I already thrown in the recycables, and found the packing slip. But the packing slip has a 13-digit order number and not a 12-digit (the same 8-digit order number I found in my email plus 5 additional trailing numbers.) Their website says if you can't find the order number, call them. Well, I'm an introvert and I hate making calls. In this day and age, a customer should be able to return order without having to call!"
