"Drugstore.com refused to honor their promise to send me a $25 restaurant gift card. They made a false claim that their system didn't acknowledge my purchase. Customer service said I did indeed make the purchase and met all the requirements. However, because their system didn't acknowledge my purchase, they will not send the gift card. This company is one big scam. I would open a lawsuit if I had the money. Hopefully, I can at least help you from falling for their scam! Don't buy from drugstore.com"

"Terrible seller. They shipped the wrong order to me. When I called they asked for a credit card to put on file so they could re-ship my correct order. I said I already paid for it and they said, yes, but they need a "portal" in which to send the correct order. That's a crock. I canceled my order and they said they would refund my money when they received the wrong order back from me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and magically they are now refunding my money immediately."

"I have never met with such poor shipping or customer service in my life. An order of liquid cleaner arrived as soup in a bag - they'd just thrown the bottles in a plastic bag and boxed them up without any padding, and the bottles split and leaked. I opened the box of bag of soup and promptly closed it again and returned it to them. It has taken MONTHS of back and forth arguments with their "customer service" department to get them to give me a refund for a very clear "damaged goods" shipment. MONTHS! They have been so rude to me. I can't believe something as simple as a return is so beyond them. They keep claiming my refund (electronic, through paypal, should be instant) is on its way, but it never arrives. What a complete scam of a business. Goes without saying I'll never shop with them again."

"Very good customer service, poor order management. I placed an order for several items, all of which showed in stock at the time of the order. Several days later, I received a message that one of the items had been cancelled. As this item was the primary reason for my order, I called to complain. The CS rep stated that the item was fulfilled by an outside vendor who was out of stock of that item. Still no excuse as in this day and age it is not that difficult to keep a running inventory of stock. So an F grade for order management.

The customer service rep seemed upset at my experience but didn't offer any resolution. So a C grade for initiative.

But when I suggested sending a replacement item (same model, different color) at the original sale price the rep took a few minutes and then agreed. She then manually placed the order for me and confirmed the order was complete. An A+ for service and results.

"I just wanted to send a note of appreciation to the customer service team at Drugstore.com. It is truly a revelation to deal with the kind and caring customer service representatives that this company employs. I recently placed an order that was shipped and promptly delivered to my front door; however, someone along the way wrongfully intercepted my package and I never received it. After explaining the situation to a customer service representative, I had my order replaced and shipped to me with the requirement of a signature to ensure that this incident does not happen again. It is a shame that people are capable of guile and thievery, but it is truly a blessing to see that human kindness still exists. Drugstore.com should be proud of their employees today and their fair business practices. So for that, I thank them.

"Drugstore.com is the most incompetent and customer unfriendly organization I have ever dealt with. They screwed up my order (shipping the wrong product) and when I notified them of their error, they asked me to provide more information by e-mail. Even though I was annoyed by the form e-mail and that they could not follow simple instructions about the items left out of the order, I complied with the request. My e-mail was met with a follow-up email to call a toll free number and give them a creditb card. This shoddy customer service is outrageous and I am forced to go through PayPal to file action."

"My original complaint was as follows below, but the problem was finally solved on 12/6/12 by customer service. The order was finally cancelled, and a nice apology was made. That's all one asks for as a customer, so I'll continue to give drugstore.com my business.

I've made many orders with drugstore.com and pretty much never had a problem. This time, I ordered several items, and I made sure each one was in stock before I placed the order. One of the items in the order, a hand vac, hadn't shipped ten days after the order was placed, even though the site had shown that it would ship in 4-5 business days after placing the order. I emailed customer service and received a prompt reply that the hand vac was actually out of stock, but the customer service rep contacted the company that carries the vac and asked that more be shipped, which would take anywhere from one to two weeks to happen. I tried to then cancel shipment of the vac because I don't like buying things that have an indefinite shipment date, but I wasn't allowed to cancel it through the website (even though the service rep said specifically that I could!) So I called 1-800-drugstore to cancel the vac in person, and the rep on the phone said that because the company who stocks the vac was already asked to ship out more units, I was being forced to keep the order in place. If drugstore.com wants to sell products that they don't stock themselves, and then they think it's ok for those outside companies to force customers to be stuck with products they no longer want, that's a terrible business model. "Sorry, we went ahead and asked for the item to be restocked even though we told you that you could cancel the order, and we're going to pull the money out of your account whenever that item ships. We're generating a 'Trouble Ticket' that shows you no longer want the item, and that way, you MIGHT be able to return the vac once you receive it." That's just ridiculous and I'm not buying another thing from them again. And now I'm kicking myself because I filled out one of those online surveys for drugstore.com, saying how pleased I was with their company, and that I'd definitely recommend them to others. Not anymore!

"Great store...absolutely value their customer service. Their return shipping is free and often they will give you a credit if they find that the return is not feasible. I once ordered from Puritan's Pride, and had to pay return shipping of around $6 for a $18 order. That was my only order! "

"I did not receive one of the items I paid for, and another item (toothbrush heads) was received open. Because these are toothbrush heads, I do not believe this item to be sanitary and safe in this condition.

Other items in this shipment were received in bad condition; however, the packaging was not opened, so they were acceptable. I believe the poor condition of the items received was caused because the shipment was sent in a box that was too small which allowed for very little packaging to protect the items.

I also have a few issues with the customer service that was provided or rather not provided by drugstore.com:

10/18/2012 - Customer service was contacted through the company’s website regarding these issues with no response from the company.

10/22/2012 - A follow up email was sent to the company at ****@****. This email included the order # and reference # from the original message sent through company’s website.

10/22/2012 – An automated response was received from the company offering no solution or information specific to the issues earlier outlined.

10/23/2012 - Another follow up email was sent to the company at ****@****. This email included the order # and incident # from the auto response email received from the company.

10/23/2012 - An email was received from ****@**** James K. - Customer Care Specialist. He wrote, “It seems you have written to us from an e-mail address that is not associated with your drugstore.com account. For security reasons, we are not able to accommodate your request via e-mail.” This is not true. The email address I used to send all emails to drugstore.com has always been associated with my drugstore.com account.

10/24/2012 - An email was sent to the company at ****@****. In this email, I wrote, “Please check again. The email address I used to send all emails to drugstore.com, and the email address I am currently sending this email from is currently associated with my drugstore.com account.” This email also contained a detailed explanation of the issues with my order, and the order # and incident #.

11/1/2012 - No further communications have been received from drugstore.com.
