"Received two Taylormade drivers that I ordered new but received used clubs. Returned to store 11 days ago and still haven’t received credit. "

"bad name, bad employees, bad service!!!!!!!!! unfair prices along with rude employees make me SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the name is absolutely TERRIBLE for children!! rebrand your store RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! no good helmets or good balls!!! balls deflated and the helmets HURT MY SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it smelled like a FARM in there!!!! absolutely FOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never received order.

"Dicks never reached out to us to apologize. Refunded our money without even corresponding with us. Called them and the shipper AIT, several times. No one knows where the table is. Dicks offered a 20% off on next order. Ha! Why would I ever order from them again?"

Would give a zero rating if it were possible

"I would have saved myself a lot of trouble if I had read these reviews before shopping from Dicks. I bought my son a helmet and vest during their black Friday sales. They cancelled the helmet and didn't send an notification until three days ago. They shipped the vest instead. I called and spoke with an agent who offered to reship a similar item within 24 hours. Now, I can't believe I've spent over 3 hours on the phone since Saturday. I used the order number they provided to track the status of the order and found it was totally different from what I'd originally ordered and it was scheduled for delivery on 12/27 after Christmas. Finding out the new order was different--only a helmet without face mask--I called to inquire and was transferred to a so-called supervisor who sounded like Dicks was doing me a favor with the reshipment. What ever happened to doing the right thing? Then she says "well, reshipment is against our policy. I'll have to write up the employee that put that in for discipline. You'll have to purchase another item". Write up the employee who tried to do the right thing for disciplinary action? What kind of supervisor is this? And did it not matter that I had to wait several weeks and now have to deal with this, potentially not having this item for my son this Christmas?

Shopping at Dicks is the most terrible shopping experience I've ever had. With this kind of terrible customer service, it's only a matter of time before a store goes extinct like other retailers who thought they were too big to fail and didn't understand the value of customer loyalty and repeat purchases in this day and age. Customers have options and when they choose a retailer, they deserve to be treated right!! For me, Dicks is a one-and-done. I'm never returning and if I have anything to do with it, no one I know will ever shop at Dicks. And the vest I purchased with the Helmet was shipped separately and sitting at my house. I'm going to send it back because my son was supposed to get both for Christmas not just the vest.

Horrible customer service

"They have a rewards program in which I earned a $20 cert. I placed an order but as soon as I received the confirmation, I realized that the product was different from the photo that was shown on the website. So I canceled the order.

But then they didn't have any procedures to automatically restore the rewards certificate. They kept saying that it is like a coupon that send me dime a dozen in the email. After some back and forth, the agent supposedly gave me a $20 cert that did not work on my cart. Then he would try to only refund half.

Will not shop at this place - don't have time to deal with such incompetent people.

Don’t waste your time buying online

"Do not waste your time buying from this company online. I purchased two Carhartt beanies. Everything went smoothly, I got a tracking number and within a week I got an email saying my packaged was delivered. I then checked my mail only to find there was no package. I called the next day to ask for a reshipment and they lady refused. I was told to check my local usps and ups store which was a big waste of time because they couldn't give me any information. I then call again and got a reshipping going. I was told both my beanies were in stock. I woke up to an email confirming the order process of only the one beanie. I got a follow up email stating my other beanie was out of stock when I was already told it was in stock. I immediately asked for a refund and got it within three days. Fast forward to about two weeks and I finally got my beanie but in the wrong color. Do not waste your time with this company online. The people are rude over the phone and they clearly can't get a simple order correct."

Horrible experience

"I was shopping at the ****'s Sporting Goods in the Dayton Mall over the weekend. It is my son's first year playing football and we went out to get all of his stuff. I purchased his cleats a football a pair of socks a cap a pair of football gloves a water bottle among other things. The next day I am getting the bags ready for my son to go to football and realize the gloves are not in there. I call the store and let them know that one of the items I purchased was not there. I was told by management that they would review the tapes and give me a call back to let me know if my statement was true. I have worked in retail management almost 20 years, I have never even thought about telling a customer that I would review the tapes because I do not believe them when they did not receive an item. When a customer takes time out of their day to call about something that was left there, the customer should be apologized to for the mistake that the store has caused. They should apologize for the fact that that customer has to come back up to the store to receive their merchandise . There should be no mention of having to review a security tape to see if the customer is lying. I felt like they were telling me I was lying and trying to steal from this company. If this was only a five or $10 item I would just go buy another one but these were a $25 pair of football gloves. I have never had a worst customer experience in my life. I will be sure to tell every person I encounter and everybody in the entire School District to not go to ****'s for their sporting needs. I will definitely not be returning for the next 8 years that my son is in School playing sports. This shows that this company does not value their customers or their experiences with in the store. The way to build a company and create a positive Revenue over last year's is by building customer relations. When you have a bad experience in a store you tell everyone, when you have a good experience in the store you might tell a few people. It looks like the majority of the stores reviews are definitely not satisfactory."

MEh, I've got better else where

"I've been in the store a few times. The YETI ice chest purchased from their web site delivered in a recycled box, missing the manufacture polyethylene bag & registration paper work. Not advertised as used condition ... but was marked down & on sale.

Obviously used (or abused), with three thumb-sized black smudges which didn't wash off.
The front sealing edge is found scuffed up ... I fixed this with a sanding block & 1200 grit wet/dry sand paper.

Sorry guys, usually one chance in a retail engagement, I won't be back on-foot or electronically.

"Ordered 2 yard games for a party . They didn't arrive on time, so I contacted them. They said there was a problem and the order was not processed. They have all of my contact information and could have communicated this to me. They won't arrive in time if I order them now. "

"This company just lost our business! Order cleats off line from Dicks online, they were defective and they refused to fix the issue. Told me to contact manufacture. My question is why order from them then? Terrible policy they do not appreciate their customer loyalty. I refuse to spend another dime online or in their stores!"

Finished with this company!

"I went in yesterday (York PA) and purchased a pair of tennis shoes for my son. I asked about military discounts and without hesitation, the young man entered a code for the "heroes" discount. Today, I went to purchase volleyball shoes for my daughter. When I asked for the discount and showed my ID, the girl radio'ed to ask about it. Someone told her they don't have one. I informed them, I received it just the day before. They would not give me the discount. I called the corporate office and was on hold for 10 minutes before customer personnel got on the phone, telling me they don't have the discount. I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold another ten minutes. Finally, my call was transferred to which no one would answer for ten minutes. I hung up the phone. I will NEVER shop at a ****'s Sporting Goods store again. All this in light of them getting political!! Must be run by liberals who don't give a **** about anything but your money!"

Fire arm paper work trouble

"Back in Nov 2017 bought a 22 lr, no problem walked out the same day with firearm. In MARCH 2018 got a phone call from Dicks that I didn't fill the paperwork out right, had to go back to the store to correct a middle name.
Who's in charge of the background checks that they didn't catch this back in Nov. Was not happy about driving a half-hour one way to fix the MISTAKE THEY MADE!! WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!!!!!
