Mustang Seat

"I ordered Mustang seat from Dennis Kirk. When seat arrived, I realized that it's not comfortable in seating position. First, I called to customer service which is listed on their site ***-***-**** and they told me to go ahead and use the label that was enclosed. Next day I shipped item back to them. Then week later I received a call from Ashley customer service, she was very rude, she said i never call them before I ship item, and told me that they wouldn't gave me full refund and they going to charge restocking fee 35%. She said that seat is badly scratched, and marker was used to cover up scratches. That was absolutely lie. I refused to pay restocking fee so they ship that seat back to me. When I got seat for second time and after close inspection i noticed that this seat was previously used and they sold me used or refurbished item. Please do yourself favor, buy somewhere else. I will file complaint with BBB. Will dispute charges with my credit card.

Horrible experience

"I spent over an hour on the phone with tech determining what would be the best frame to replace the one on my 2003 Night Train which had been stolen and returned minus the frame.
The tech assured me that the frame I bought would work and everything would fit.
I received the frame and I had a bent tab and two broken welds. To their credit the did issue me a part yet small refund but it cost me way more money to have this frame fixed than they refunded.
Then to add insult to injury the tech was wrong in telling me that everything on my stock bike would fit.
I have ran into several fitment issues most prominent is that the front end needs special neck cup so I can run my stock front end.
When I contact Dennis Kirk customer service they were less than helpful and didn't even have the right part number I needed. The lady I spoke to was very rude as well.
Overall this was a very bad experience and I would have liked Dennis Kirk to have done a better job in correcting this problem

The Best!

"I've done business with J&P for years. They were recently acquired and moved their business operations. Since the move they have become a complete mess. They don't ship when they say they will and god forbid you have to contact customer service because they are unavailable and if by chance you connect with them they are un-helpful. Don't even ask about the the return I made. Still waiting for my credit!

Why all of this about J&P? Since I gave up on them I looked around for another company to buy from. I decided to give Dennis Kirk a try. Ordered at about 6pm. They shipped the same day and I got it the next day. Amazing. I did it again and they delivered overnight again. Then I placed a third order and tested their order by 8pm same day shipping claim. So I placed my order right at 8pm and boom there was my order the next day I got home.

Dennis Kirk is amazing. I wish I would have started buying from them years ago. However, I can say they are my go to company for Harley parts from now on.

"I bought a pair of Bell Helmets for the wife and I.
We do touring on our BMW R1200RS.
I bought the helmets at Dennis Kirk. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years.
I no longer will do business with Dennis Kirk due to the handling of a warranty issue.
The helmet has a flip down visor. The handle on the visor broke within 2 weeks. I sent it in for repair. When I got the helmet back I tried it on and the cheek pads moved on me. After further inspection I noticed the cheek pads which are glued in from the factory had been pulled out of the helmet during the repair process.
I called and customer service denied any responsibility.
I was incredulous. The helmet had only been worn maybe 10 times and was in perfect condition when I sent it to them, other than the broken visor.
I have now been fighting with Dennis Kirk customer service for 5 months over this. Its like they make it a personal vendetta to deny claims. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have had to stop payment on my American Express, and I am having to rely on Amx to remedy the situation. Dennis Kirk has decent prices but they don't back up their products. I don't believe the owners condone the way customer service handles their business. I think Dennis Kirk customer service needs to revamp how customers are handled.

"I've purchased motorcycle parts from Dennis Kirk many times over the past seven years. I can't make anything but positive comments about my dealings with them. When ordering over the telephone, the operators are very helpful. Very fast shipping. Free shipping on orders over $100 (except tires - $5 charge). Easy return process.

Every once in awhile you can find items on sale or at closeout prices. 18 months ago, I bought a Progressive shock absorber from them for $100 less than what any other vendor charged.

One thing I dislike, in 2013 they stopped publishing the 1000 page metric motorcycle catalog that they had been mailing out for years. You can still find everything on their website but I miss having that printed catalog to thumb through. I used that printed catalog to make my purchasing decisions.

"wow, seriously impressed! Got a great deal on a Joe Rocket leather jacket that was in the closeout section. They have tons of motorcycle gear on sale. The site search feature is great (better than other stores I've visited) and I was able to find what I was looking for fast. There were so much I wanted to buy and DennisKirk made it so easy (too easy). Shipping is free for orders over $100. I got my package in 2 days (UPS)!!"

"Sent the wrong item and made me pay shipping

This company stinks, do not buy from them. I researched a specific ATV mirror online for the lowest price I could find. I found it on Dennis Kirk (or so I thought) for around $20 and ordered it, paying $8 to ship. When I received it, it was not the mirror pictured on the website. I sent it back, and they sent me the right one. Then I noticed a $4 charge on my credit card. When I called, they said the price of the mirror I wanted and thought I had ordered was $4 more. What? Apparently it is a bait and switch tactic. A very popular style, hard to find mirror, and you think you have found it for a good price. Most people probably just pay the extra $4 but I was P.O.ed. You would think they would have to honor the price online for the mirror pictured. I sent it back and emailed them, emphasizing that I expected my refund to include shipping as it was their mistake. (The wrong mirror pictured.) They did not disagree, but then did not refund the shipping, saying it was not their error so I can't get the shipping back. What? Not their error? Of course it was, the wrong picture was on their site. Their CS fought me over $4, and I even did a charge back which they fought and I am still out the shipping. I am too tired to continue this over $4. Beware of misleading and bait and switch tactics. Dennis Kirk stinks.
