"Don't walk, RUN !!!! Get as far away as you can from this shyster outfit! I, like the 5 reviewers (poor suckers)before me, got lured in by the BS price in the Ad's. All the BluRay movies I ordered on Oct.8, were in stock, till I paid for them. Then went immediately to "Back Order" status and I've been waiting ever since! Customer service is ridiculous. The whole company reeks of rip-off!
This is my first and last experience with them.

"I ordered four titles during a B1G1 blu-ray sale on 10/8/2010. All of them were listed as "in stock" when I placed my order, after the order was placed and I looked at my order status they had all magically changed to "back ordered". It's now 11/18 and NONE of the titles have shipped. DD used to be a great retailer, they still had back orders but they were usually only a couple of weeks. I will never order from DD again, backorders longer than a month for products listed as "in stock" at time of purchase is simply not acceptable."

"Placed an order on one of their B1G1 sales for two BD titles, with another order for two BD titles placed at the same time. Other order shipped 1 day after purchase, this order had one item ship two days after order, and the other item is still pending shipment two months after the order. Filed BBB complaint against the company. "

"Wow. What can I say about these guys? I've twice ordered products from Deepdiscount.com and both times I've received (months later) notifications that the items I ordered were sold out in some fashion or another. In total, I've ordered five products and I have received zero. They are actually batting .000 if you can believe it.
And it's not as thought their products were listed at a price that was too good to be true either. The prices were good but not great. Still, they continue to list the products on their website. In fact, I just went there to check on the Superman movie collection that I ordered (two months ago) and you are free to order. Just don't expect it to arrive anytime soon (or later).
My advice is to not do business with this company as they never follow through with the product.

"I've been ordering from DeepDiscount for years but this will likely be the last time. Ordered a calendar on October 22 which showed In-Stock. Several days later, got an e-mail that it's Out of Stock. Called today (11/2) and spoke to a very rude guy who cut me off and asked for my order number, after which he said that the item was out of stock and they "have no idea when it'll be in" even though their site still shows it as In-Stock. I canceled my order."

"When they put on a sale, it's tough to find better deals ANYWHERE... free standard shipping on every order is also extremely sweet.

But, there are issues. Firstly, trying to find a product's availability status is very difficult. Secondly, their process for shipping a single DVD is EXTREMELY slow and not well-protected. Expect the shipping to take 3 weeks, with a 50% chance of damage occurring...

If many items are shipped at once, the shipping is fine... pretty much average in terms of safety and time, from what I've seen.

...also, they tend to misspell item names and differentiating between similar items can sometimes be very tricky.

"I have been shopping with DeepDiscount for ~4 years now, initially with good results. But they seem to be getting progresively worse and I'll think twice about placing another order with them. The discounts are not that deep anymore unless there is a BOGO sale going on, and they takes forever to ship the items. I placed an order on 09/05 for 10 blu-rays that were each marked "in-stock", but 6 weeks later, I have yet to receive 7 of them, which I'm told went on backorder after I ordered. They definately need a better inventory tracking system.

Edit: 11/19/2010, two and a half months later:
I had to cancel 6 items because they're still on backorder. I'm unable to cancel the remaining item because part of that order has been shipped and they've charged me for the full order, and it was a Buy One Get One free sale. Their CS is beyond worthless and refuse to help. I will dispute the charge with my CC and contact BBB to get my money back if they cannot provide the item I paid for and refuse to issue a refund.

Edit 12/04 - Remaining item received today, 3 months after ordering. Poorly packed, blu-ray case has slight damage. I woudn't even dream about working with these guys for a replacement. Lesson learned - never ever shop here no matter how good the prices are (and usually the prices aren't that good nowadays to begin with)

"I checked out as a guest and did not receive an order confirmation from them. Then Heard nothing for almost a week. Emailed them twice and the first time received an inappropriate canned response. Then received an email saying the item I ordered, which although listed as in stock, was out of stock.

Overall, a terrible experience.

"I ordered a CD on 8-9-10 received it 8-25-10 damaged, went online and requested a replacement only to get a reply that they had no order for me. After supplying my order # they responded that they will email me a return authorization(not)still waiting. Called them on the phone and was told they will mail me a return Authorization (not) still waiting, it is now September 24th still waiting and called again annd was told they will email a return authorization it will take anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour to receive and to check my junk or spam email, it may go there, September 25th (not) still waiting, called Amizon and put in a complaint against them and also put in a dispute with my credit card company. Moral of the story, Do Not Purchase Anything from this company. No Customer Service to be found."

"Ordered a major studio release from 2004 on blu-ray from Deepdiscount.com. 2 weeks later, no DVD and no notification from Deepdiscount. I had to call customer service to find out the item had been backordered with no expected ship date.

They were good about cancelling the order. I paid between 1-2 dollars more on Walmart.com for the same item on a Tuesday night, and it was at my door Friday afternoon.

"I have no idea how these crooks are still in business. They always pull bait and switch tactics by offering great deals on movies, letting you order them and billing you the same day, then never shipping out your order while sitting on your money for weeks or even months. You then have to contact them to ask for your money back and they tell you the order is backordered which is a lie because they now sell the item for 4X as much.

"Other than being pretty slow to ship out, I have had no problems with several orders from DeepDiscount. Would I prefer that they ship more quickly, of course? However, being that their best prices are often the lowest a given Blu-Ray will ever sell for new (beating even Amazon), I don't mind a few extra days of waiting."

"Ordered a video game from them on August 12th 2010. Used Google Checkout as my payment method.

Credit card was charged the same day. Called on August 30th to let them know order had not arrived. 18 days after ordering. Customer service representative said I had to wait until September 8th for them to be able to do anything. 27 days after the order was placed!

Called on September 8th, order had still not arrived. They said they would reship the order, but it's now backordered. No idea when it will be in stock.

It's been 31 days since my credit card has been charged, still no product, no estimation of when my order will arrive, let alone be shipped.

I am improving my rating of this transaction with DeepDiscount as a recent conversation between myself and a supervisor at the company. They are working with me to make my experience a positive one. The conversation and apology for customer service mistakes felt sincere.

"I have ordered an DVD from the website when it is on sale. They said it is in back order so I wait. However, in between time, I lost my credit card so I called them up & explained the situation. The rep just asked me to cancel the order & put in a new order. He said he will give me back the same price. Then, when it is done, I found out the price has been rounded to the nearest $. Although I am not very happy about it, since the amount is so small, so I just let it go. Then, finally, after more than a month time, I still haven't received the item or any sign that they will ship out the item, I call them back again. They again saying that the item is still in back order; however, when I go to the item that I order, it shows no message that it is in back order and you can order it but with a much higher price. I asked the rep about it & he just said it is in back order & they haven't charged my credit card, then why should I worried! Of course, it end up I cancelled the order & I will not go back to order from them again"

"I placed an order for a movie on 6/5. "Shipped" on 6/12. Emailed on 7/6 to say my movie never arrived and forwarded my shipping confirmation email. I received a reply at the end of the following day asking me to be sure that I have given it at least 2 weeks since I ordered. Yes, idiot, not only has it been a month since my order was placed, but I'm sure they can count themselves that it was at least 2 weeks. They did resend and I received the movie today, but no personal note, no extra effort to ensure that I'm a return customer. Just an idiot who can't count 2 weeks without my help.
Expect to get your item and expect good prices, but don't expect the greatest customer service.
