"The only fhing that I could think of to talk about was speed. It took 12 days to arrive, but it came in and was in perfect shape and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase! I will definitely use CostCaptain again!"

"Took my money, charged my card, showed order as being processed, only to find out they didn't have the item anyway. Reputable merchants don't charge you for something they don't have to sell. Caveat emptor."

"The purchase and shipping from CostCaptain were fine. The real issue was that a month later I got a random e-mail from them welcoming me to "CostCaptain Premier!" In that e-mail they informed me that my credit card had been charged $29 for a membership fee. I was NOT asked to sign up for any type of club and did NOT want to be a member of their "premier" club. Any company that is this crooked doesn't deserve anybody's hard earned money. I will never do business with them again.

"This site is a mess..i placed an order and also paid for expedited (1-2day shipping) and that's from Monday (29/07/13), and all now the shipment hasn't reached me. "Placed order on Sunday. 5 days later, checked on order status, input order number online website. results indicated they could not find order number. called cost captain. no human contact. only able to leave message in their voice mail at their behest.

not asked to write this review.
would not use cost captain again. customer service is auto answer program unable to get beyond it for speaking with representative for any type of clarification.

"It has now been over 9 months since I placed my order and I still do not have my order or a refund.
Although everything showed in stock on their website when I placed my order, and they charged my credit card immediately, it was not until over 2 weeks later, after I emailed them asking where my order was, that I was told that half of the items I ordered were out of stock.
After waiting for nearly 5 months, I finally told them that if they could not ship my order by end of month they needed to cancel it and give me a refund. They cancelled the order, and have promised to give me a refund several times since, but I am still waiting.

Updated 8/14/13:
I called them as requested below and left them a voicemail. Nothing came of it. Still waiting for my refund.

"Buyer beware! I placed an order with the impression that it was in stock. After not receiving a shipping confirmation, I decided to try to check into it. Don't bother trying to call. Multiple attempts not able to get through to a live person. I tried the email that was promised to be responded to within 1 business day, but it is usually over 24 hours before you get an actual response instead of the automated email confirmation. The site lets you check the order status, but it is not very helpful. Status stated pending for a number of days and then stated "awaiting item in picking." Finally, I received a response stating they were awaiting the item from the manufacture that I thought was in stock. I then had to go through the same email response to eventually cancel the order but it took 2 attempts. I finally received a response that stated I would receive refund in 7 business days. I then inquired after I did not receive my refund in 7 business days as promised. I received a response 3 days later stating they would forward to the accounting department (what did they do before?) and I would receive refund in 3 business days. That's 16 days from the original cancellation confirmation! I'm still waiting to see when I will actually receive my refund."

"PLEASE CHECK OUT THE BBB rating, ripoff report and site jabber for other reviews of this company. I wish I had before ordering!

On 7/13/13 I order gaming speakers for a friends birthday on the 15th. I paid for expedited 1-2 shipping. I never receive the email confirmation. I left several voicemails and emails on Monday 15th, but received no responses.
On Tuesday, after several calls I spoke with someone who apologized the item had not been shipped out. I explained it needed to be delivered by Thursday as the recipient would be out of town for 8 days. She assured me it would be and offered to overnight it for delivery on Wed, with the promise I would receive an email and tracking #. I called back and emailed Wednesay, again apologies but it had not been shipped out. :(
Yesterday, I spent over 4 hours on the phone not to mention text and email with Raven. They had a bogus tacking number that hadnt been picked up yet, despite the fact it was promised to the be delvered by 2:30. She offered to ship it overnight to a different address. It was picked up from the warehouse yesterday and made it to Dallas by 6:00am this morning. Then the recalled the package to be returned to them. They sent me an email that I would have to deal with UPS, so I called UPS who confirmed Cost Captain requested the prouct returned. I wrote several upset emails, left several voice mails and texts. I received an email from Raven stating they had cancelled the order and would refund my charges! This is crazy!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!

"I placed an order almost a week ago and still haven't gotten an update. I've e-mailed them and still haven't gotten anything but a generic response back. I tried calling to cancel my order so I can order one from another company and all I get is Christmas music. Yes you read that right Christmas music in July! Then it says "All representatives are helping other customers, please leave a voice mail." Really what company has a voice mail for customer service?!?!

I'm extremely disappointed. I should have done some research before I ordered the smoker. I ordered it because it was considerably cheaper than other sites. I should have known better.
