"Consumer Depot is a complete rip off, total scam, don’t purchase anything from them. I purchased a wireless headset for xbox 360. Arrived broken, would not charge. Would not turn on, nothing. Called Consumer Depot to see if they could help, the customer service line is a voice mail, no one to speak to. Called Consumer Depot again and dialed the sales office. A salesman named Billy answered, he informed me that the customer service department is “out to lunch”, is quite overwhelmed, and it might be some time before they get back to me. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was informed that he was also not available. I was also informed that the owner of Consumer Depot does not take phone calls. When I pressed the sales person to speak to someone else, someone who could answer any of my questions, he was kind enough to hang up on me. I promptly called back and was informed that the only person that could help me was a customer service rep named Whitney. I emailed and left a message with the customer service department, and have yet to receive a return call/email. Some of the typical excuses you can expect to hear if you call them; “the customer service department is out to lunch”, “the manager is not here today”, “that is handled by another department (and they are not here today either)”, “ that department is overwhelmed with returns right now”, “there is no direct phone line for that department”, “ the owner of the store does not take phone calls”, “there is no one here today that could take your phone call/assist you in anyway”, the only excuse I did not hear was the dog ate your invoice. Bottom line, Consumer Depot is a scam. They will take your money, send you a defective product, and refuse to assist you in any way after they have robbed you. Do not use Consumer Depot ever! Rip off artists. Please do not spend your money here, you will regret it. "

"Purchased 2 VIA ARtiGO A1000 Builder Kit advertised as "NEW", but both are used with stickers all over, and missing parts. Emailed them and request a full refund and they should be responsible for return shipping cost, but they just ignored. I already called credit card company to stop payment! Watch Out if you are trying to buy something "NEW"!"

"Placed an order on 10/15/2009. Read reseller ratings next day and called to cancel order and was told order was canceled. On 11/6/2009 received email canceled order had shipped. I canceled order and 21 days after order was canceled they ship it out. What a joke of a company."

"I purchased a USB Modem from Consumer Depot. It arrived without the driver CD and the RJ-11 cable that were listed as contained in the box. The modem I received was different from that pictured on the Consumer Depot web site, and I received an open box item, which was also not indicated on the page describing the modem. When I e-mailed Consumer Depot to inquire about the missing parts, they offered me a refund if I shipped the modem back to them at my expense. I decided not to throw good money after bad. Also as indicated elsewhere in other reviews here, some people never received refunds that they were promised.

Before ordering from Consumer Depot, consider the following:

The Better Business Bureau rates them with their lowest score, F.
The Tennessee Attorney General has a case pending against Consumer Depot alleging deceptive practices.
The charged me $9.99 for shipping. The actual cost of shipping was no more than $3.00(including shipping materials), and that's assuming that they bought the padded envelope at Walgreens.

"Bought many things from Consumer Depot. Had 1 previous to this order DOA and one other issue that was resolved. But on this order I bought 2 cameras and 2 extended warranties. One of the cameras was DOA and so in the process to return the camera their online system does not allow you to complete the return without an RMA number.well when I got the RMA and entered it into the system they accepted the return.They then said they were going to reimburse me for the camera but they did not reimburse me for the warranty since they said I used it to return the camera. The one that was DOA! I had to call my credit card to dispute and get my money back. They have deals but it is 98% chance you will get the shaft when you have to return something.I am no longer a customer."

"Consumer Depot shipped me a USED printer when I ordered and paid for a new one. I have been trying to get them to refund my shipping charges for FIVE months and they continue to make excuses for why they can't refund my money.

It it had been an honest mistake, then they should not have given me so much trouble. Clearly they were trying to pass off a used item for new - completely dishonest...

They don't answer their phones and don't care about customer service. This is not a reputable company!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

"Ordered an XBox 360 for my sons Bday. I opened the XBOX and turned it on and it worked. I gave it to my son on his BDay 13 days later and he started getting 3 red lights on it(Red Ring of death). Since it took me some days to realize it was an issue with the box, I sent it to Micosoft for warranty repair. MS took the xbox because the serial number was valid, but the warranty was out of date. 3 weeks later I got the XBOX back with a message saying they wont touch it because it's been opened by someone.

ConsumerDepot says too bad for you because your 14 days are up, you can take it to a 3rd party for a repair.

Thanks ConsumerDepot for shipping something that should not have been shipped and expecting your customers to know everything about the issues with XBOX360 before they get one. I will certainly not be back, I'll stick with NewEgg."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I ordered a cartridge that never worked out of the box. This was bad enough, but when I asked for a replacement they refused, saying that they do not accept returns of faulty items and it was in their fine print. Who ever heard of a store that would sell you something that didn't work and then not replace it. It's just plain robbery."
