"This took a full 14 days (10 business) for delivery. It wasn't shipped until a week after I ordered it. It works but my console is banned from xbox live because I "modifided" it by replacing the DVD drive. Guess I should have read up on that first."

"The product I bought simply did not work.

Note below Compuvest responds with incorrect information. They have not contacted me about returning the product; never. Also, it took them 2 months even to post their incorrect response.

I have now submitted an RMA request. We will see what happens. I note, howver, that Compuvest's stated return policy is that items must be returned within 7 days of receipt:

"Compuvest.com must be informed of any problems and/or order discrepancies (wrong product received, wrong product ordered) within 7 business days from receipt of product, for CPU within 3 days from receipt of product - fill out RMA form and indicate in detail what the problem is, or email ****@****."

Now I get by email some RMA instructions, which indicate I will not get a refund at all. IThe instructions say:

"Note 2. New retail product that was opened will not be accepted for reason “Incompatibility” or “Incorrect product ordered”. If the item you returned as “defective” is not defective according to out testing, we will refund your purchase price less a 25% restocking fee.

Note 3. No cash refund for all items returned after 30 days from the date of
invoice."

So, the instructions say I will get no refund at all (30 days to return) or that I will get docketed 25% if Compuvest declares that the product works, when it did not work for me. Also, I get to pay shipping. What a deal!
