"I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from this company! I placed an order for a pair of shoes for $118.00 in April and my credit card was charged on April 28th. When I didn't receive my shoes I emailed them and was told that my shoes were not in stock and they were waiting on an order. Well, why was my account charged??? I have since then canceled the order and was told to allow 2-3 days for my account to be credited. This has been 2 weeks ago!...and I still have not received my money. I have emailed them again with no response. This is the worst company I have ever ordered from and would NEVER order anything from them again. I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau!"

"After reading the other reviews,learned I wasn't only one experiencing problems with this company. I ordered two pairs of shoes from this company on 3/8. It has now been over three months and I have not received my shoes. I have sent an email 3/23 asking about the delay. They responded the same day stating that my shoes were "popular styles",they were awaiting a delivery on 4/2 and my order would be shipped then. I emailed again 4/20. They responded 4/21 stating my order would arrive early the next week. I emailed once more inquiring about my shoes on 5/4 and they responded the next day stating there was currently "an estimated two-week shipping time." At no time during these 3 months have they initiated an explanation. I am extemely disappointed. Apparently, judging from the reviews before they began their move, they were a reliable company. It seems a shame they would be willing to trash their reputation through a lack of truthful communication. I would have been willing to work with them, but do not appreciate being lied to repeatedly."

"Shoes ordered April 20, 2009. Not yet arrived May 23. They told me that they had shipped after an inventory delay and could definitely arrive by May 22. Still not here. This is really terrible service. "

"I see that you are having problems from moving but seriously you should have still found a way to get ordered filled.

I placed an order on March 15 got one pair of shoes in a few days the second pair I received on April 18. They were too big and I mailed them back on April 20. I did delivery conformation and the shoes were received on April 22. It is now May 18 and I still don't have the shoes.

After having it take so long to get the shoes I e-mailed specifically saying I was concerned about trying to exchange them and was told "We will do our best to ensure that you have your exchange promptly after receiving your return."

"Ordered shoes on 4/21 was sent confirmation e-mail that shoes would be sent in 4 to 7 days. Have not received shoes yet, sent e-mail on 5/12 to ask what was happening with order, received no response, sent another e-mail 5/15 then began checking online to see if there were other people experiencing the same problems, it seems that there are. I am still waiting for contact from Comfort shoes NY, I would like my shoes, I just want to know what is going on."

"****DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY***
I ordered two pairs of sandals for my son on March 26, 2009. My credit card was charged on that day and as of today I still have not received my order. I e-mailed them couple of times but they just kept telling me “Your order will arrive early next week”. It is now May 15th and I have sent them a bunch of e-mails asking them to cancel my order and refund my money, asking for their customer’s service phone number and I get NO RESPONSE from them. I would never order from these people. I doubt I will see my MONEY again or my SHOES. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

In their replies they say they will give you compensation for a long delay. This is a LIE. I was offered it a month ago and still do not see an extra discount being credited to my card.

"Poor customer service. I ordered a pair of shoes 4/4/09, my card was charged that day, and I have still not received the shoes. The order status never changed from "will ship in 4-7 days." I have had email correspondence with them, but they continue to say tht my shoes will ship - either "early next week" or "this week." I emailed again yesterday morning & now no response at all. GOT A RESPONSE 2 1/2 DAYS LATER - SEE FOLLOW UP BELOW.

FOLLOW UP: Company did RESPOND to my emails asking where my shoes were, but did not ever initiate any communication regarding shoes being out of stock or that there was any sort of delay. I would not have been mad had I simply been told. MAJOR lack of communication. I am supposed to get my shoes tomorrow, 6 weeks after I ordered them.

"I placed my order on the 18th of April. My credit card was charged on the 23rd of April. I was sent an email on the 21st of April saying my order would be sent next week with a tracking number sent in the email. A email came on the 24th of April saying my order would be sent in 4 to 7 days. No tracking number.

It is now the seventh of May and I have sent them three emails with no response from them.

I would not order from these people. I doubt I will see my money again or my shoes.

"I ordered a nice pair of ECCO walking shoes 3 weeks in advance of a big trip. Got a prompt confirmation e-mail, then when I had waited what felt like an inordinate amount of time to get a shipping notice or just a package on my doorstep (10 days), I checked my bank account and realized they hadn't charged my card, then checked on their website and found my order status was still "pending." When customer service e-mailed me back, it turns out the shoes I ordered were a "popular style" and they were going to ship mine out when they restocked on May 13. I don't know why they decided that info was not important enough to warrant an e-mail to me. I ordered on April 23, and May 13 is the day we leave for our big trip. So now having canceled my order, I'm taking a chance that the alternate store I've ordered from is more prompt and communicative, because I need these shoes soon! What a waste of time!"

"BEWARE . . . THEY WILL NOT SUPPLY A PHONE NUMBER FOR VOICE CONTACT. THEY INSIST ONLY ON E-MAIL!!!

Finally heard from company . . . claim they did not receive my correspondence YET also claim to have issued full refund. Refund still not posted to credit card. In addition to the refund, they also offered to send me the shoes free of charge if I would remove this review. This violates the resellerratings.com policy.

Basically, comfortshoesny.com have decided my earlier posting was "slanderous" and say that they will publically refute my claims with backup from their archives. He said, she said situation . . . bottom line I have no shoes, and no refund.

I don't know what has happened at this company since first quarter 2009, but I too have had shipping delays compounded by a lack of response by their customer service department. What a disappointment - I checked these reviews before purchasing and was looking forward to a pleasant and professional transaction.

After 10 full working days I have requested a full refund since they cannot supply shipping information. I can't afford to purchase a replacement from another vendor until I get this refund (I might be out of luck). I was given free shipping and a 10% discount, but even in today's economy this wasn't enough to justify the poor treatment.

"Very disappointed in this seller. I ordered two pairs of shoes for almost $260 on 3/31. They charged my card the full amount on 4/6. As of 4/18 I still hadn't received any email notifications. I had to follow-up only to find out that they delayed shipping. I ordered these shoes a month in advance for my vacation, and now I leave on Friday without having the shoes. I also had asked if they had a store in NY, to which I never received a reply. Bad customer service all around. I would not recommend them."

"This company is the best. I ordered a pair of Dansko Shoes to take on a trip. Customer service was able to get the shoes out on time and they arrive on schedule. My contact Chris stayed on my order until they arrived. Giving me updates so I knew how to plan. After getting the shoes I found they were to tight across the top of my foot. I emailed Chris and with hours he had another pair on the way to me. I can't say enough good things for this company. I give it a 5 star rating.It is hard to get this kind of service from a standing store. Thanks again Chris. "
