"Evidentally, I have been dooped just a bunch of you. I ordered a pair of shoes from Comfort ShoesNY.com February 10th. When I hadn't heard anything from them, I emailed them on February 25th inquiring about my order. Then, a couple of days later I got a response apologizing saying the shoes were not in stock, but would be in on March 13th and they would ship them out then. Well, here it is March 24th, and I still don't have my shoes. I have now emailed them and told them to cancel my order and credit my credit card. What a disappointment! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well."

"I ordered shoes 1/10/10 was billed 1/14/10 and was told 1-2 weeks for delivery... found out they were back ordered and was told it would be four weeks.. as of 3/1/10 still no shoes. I e-mailed the company and asked for a refund got a reply 3/3/10 it would be 7-10 days to post. I e-mailed again 3/15/10 since it never posted and have not received a reply as of 3/23/10.... don't order anything from here

They posted I was refunded still have yet to see it 3/30/10

"Terrible customer service. I wish I had seen these reviews prior to placing my order. Same story as so many others. Website says "will ship in 4-7 days." I contacted them on 3/9 to find out the status of my order, and they replied "We apologize for the additional delay. Your order will ship the third week in March. You may cancel anytime prior to shipment if necessary. We are acquiring your pair directly from the distributor and that is the reason for the delay. We apologize for the inconvenience." As of 3/22 (4th week of March) still no shoes. Most reputable companies bill your credit card when the shipment goes out. And, most companies update you when there is a delay. After reading this, I will be cancelling my order and contacting BBB. "

"I ordered a pair of dansko clogs on Friday March 5th, 2010.They are more of a winter shoe and I wanted to wear them before the weather got too hot and I am out of school. The website does say 1-3 days shipping.
Today is Wednesday March 17th and I have heard nothing. I too wish I had read this site about the bad business. I e-mailed today for a response and did notice that there is no phone number to call and no way to track it through ups.
Oh, and of course they did charge my card.
Now it is March 19th and Ijust called my credit card company and the bbb ofNY. They are calling the company's bank with the dispute. If I had at least received an e-mail or call I would have happly waited. Buyer DEFINITLY beware of this
company.

"I am in the same boat as many others..I placed an order on Jan 31. Their web site said it would be shipped in 1-4 days. I have made repeated contacts and am always assured by email that they will be shipping early next week. I had initially relied upon the honesty of this company and had donated my shoes to an African fundraiser..Guess what. Now I have no dressy black shoes. No satisfaction at all from this company. I notice that their is no option of phoning them.....mmmmmm...wonder why?!!!! I also feel I should be discounted more, if and or when my shoes ever arrive. I am still waiting. I will write again if I receive some satisfaction. Has anyone had any trouble with the company after posting this review? I notified the company of this posting. I will let you know what happens. Following this posting...I received a response. They informed me that my shoes were discontinued...which I do not believe. I was sent notice of a paypal refund. I informed them of my disappointment and that I will never again use their services. "

"same story....ordered shoes, charged for them, took way longer than they had originally said, charged my account way before shoes ever ready to ship, ended up cancelling my order b/c took so long, never refunded my money, filed claim with ny bbb. still waiting for a refund....2 months later. do NOT deal with this company!! horrible customer service and an unreliable business!! wish i would have read posts on this site prior to purchasing from there

Yes Gary, I was credited my money back ONLY AFTER a complaint was filed with the BBB of NY....I SHOULD HAVE BEEN CREDITED MY MONEY BACK SINCE I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED A PRODUCT FROM YOU!!!!!! Don't get on here and act like you did nothing wrong since you did refund the money AFTER 2 MONTHS!! Your company is scandulous, a pain in the ass and a waste of my time!!! My recommendation for consumer is to just not even deal with this company...their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

"This company is a scam. I placed an order for a pair of shoes in January. Waited forever. They never came and on top charged my account TWICE!! I have been going back and forth with them for months since January. I will be contacting the NY BBB. I do NOT recommend dealing with this company. Their customer service is horrible."

"My story is the same as others - placed an order, was charged the entire amount at that time and got a message that it would be in stock in a couple weeks. Never heard back - waited 4 weeks and then requested a refund. I waited the "one to two weeks" for the credit and when it was not forthcoming, I decided to make a claim with PayPal. Thank goodness I have this as an option. Guess this would be a thumbs up for PayPal but certainly NOT for Comfort Shoes NY. "

"I placed an order on 12/28/09 and inquired about my order on 1/19/10 was told that it would ship by 1/29/10. No shipment. I wrote again on 2/2/10. Customer service told me that they were waiting for the product from the distributor and that it'd ship by the end of the second week of Feb. At the 3rd week of February still no shipment of the purchase. I cancelled my purchase on 2/17.

Updates: Emailed them on 2/24/10 and was told last week that my card would be credited early this week. Still no refund. Filed a complaint with NY BBB on 3/2/10. Filed a credit card dispute claim on 3/3/10. On 3/4/10 customer service emailed me and said they credited my account. On 3/8/10 the refund was received.

"Placed an order on Feb. 3rd. I received an initial confirmation notice by e-mail. The next day I received another e-mail saying the shoes would ship in one to two weeks. On Feb, 9th, 10th and 11th I e-mailed comfort shoes customer service to cancel my order for the shoes and have yet to get a response from them. Would like to know whats going on and if they cancelled my order."

"I was extremely disappointed with this company. i ordered a pair of shoes for my mothers christmas present on the 13th of december, and was told that they would ship in 4-7 days (my credit card was charged then). It wasn't until i inquired on the 13th of january that i was told that the shoes would not ship until the 22nd. I located the shoes elsewhere, and canceled my order with comfort shoes. they told me i would be credited, but this has yet to happen 5 days later."
