"I agree with everyone here. This store is a scam! I purchased a chip and still have not received it yet. It's been exactly a month. I tried to contact with via email and chat. Those are the only 2 ways. They do not respond. I also read other forums that had a bad experience. I give up, i'm calling my credit card tomorrow to dispute it. I found other stores using this website with higher ratings.

"Second purchase from Chipdealer, never had any problems with service, delivery speed, or anything. Stationed in Iraq with the Army and the owner went ahead and added extra skins in for me! Very thankful and have no problem recommending them for purchases. For every mistake made in sales, im sure 1000's of other sales made were very satisfying! "They don't reply to your emails or return your calls after you give them your money. Their sales rep returned my calls and replied to all my emails to push the sale (stating the install would take 2 weeks), but after I sent them my PS2+chip for installation on Jan 3rd, 2005, all that wonderful attention disappeared. I still haven't received my unit. On the few ocassions when they've actually replied to my emails, they always make empty promises about getting your order done next week, or within the next two weeks. They are backed-up w/ orders but they have no intention of warning new or potential customers about service delays. Give your business to someone else. These people don't care about their customers-- they know once they have your money that you are at their mercy. They promised to get my order done by the end of this week or by next Wednesday, but it has already been 6 weeks and I fully expect this bullshxt to continue for 7, 8, 9, or even 10 weeks. They have only answered the phone two out of the eight times I've called. Dont' expect them to return phone calls- I doubt they even listen to the messages. Don't expect help on live-chat from their staff. You'll wait hours to get 'voiced.' If you do get a response, you'll just get an empty promise or bullshxt answer about why they can't keep a promise or finish on time. The only help you'll get on live-chat is from other customers who are kind enough to relay messages to the staff because they have personal phone numbers, emails, and screen names of the chipdealer employees."

"Chipdealer is Great!!!

I had recently purchased the X3 and some acc. + free shipping! Everything arrived, including the new X3CE chip(an added bonus), but it came the day after XMAS.(a day late)

I had talked to the very helpful staff at Chipdealer on IRC of the late delivery. They had apologized for the delay, and offered my a free skin ($20 value) for the inconvenience.

With that kind of customer service, they've earned my business. I've all ready placed another order!

The best company I've dealt with for chips!!!

"Ordered an XBox in late September took 25 days for it to get here and was like pulling teeth to get an answer from them about my order status and even then it wasn't accurate even though I was talking directly to the owner over the phone. When it finally got here I was happy until I went to open it up to upgrade the harddrive and 4 of the screws were stripped, I had to drill them out. Serial number and date was scratched out but system had to of atleast been 2 years old and of course some noob tried to open it with a normal screw driver. Wasn't told I was getting a referb system... But it's been working fine so I'm not too upset about that. Then in late November I made the mistake of sending a friends XBox to them to get modded. Took that till January 6th to arrive. All the while trying to get an order status and being told by everyone that they have a shortage in systems with me trying to explain to them that I sent my own to get modded. Can't be a shortage in systems customers sent... duh. There is some validity in the system shortage excuse since other more legit sites had some customers go through simular (those customers were able to get a quick cancelation however) but it wasnt legit in October and wasn't legit when I sent my own to get modded. I think these guys are ultimatly reliable but slow and don't really care about what their customers.

P.S. resellerratings, I would look into the recent reviews. 5 straight (not counting mine) reviews praising Chipdealers sudden excellence in 2 days when there had only been 3 satisfied reviews for this business ever. Sounds fishy to me.

"As you can see this is like my 5th order from chipdealer. And they still rock. Some of these people who leaves these reviews don't understand the time it takes to mod a console and pack it than ship it. Yes, these guys may get behind but that's only cause they please so many customers a day. It's hard to do all the modding and shipping and tech support. So PLEASE take the time to consider what these guys have to do just to 1 modded system out. My hat is off to these guys. They work hard and work even harder for you."

"Item Ordered - on 12/17/2004
First update received - 12/24/04 Stating That Items are in Stock(shipment was gaurenteed to arrive at my house by Christmas, however they were out of the product).
Second Update - 01/10/05 Order is just now being built even though items were in stock on 12/24/04 as per their email.
Final Update Given 01/18/2005 That the order was cancelled and that refund will be pending. It took them 31 days to cancel my order wonder how long it will take to receive refund. This company is run by a bunch of kids that can only work after school so please understand that if you order from them - anything that requires hands on building it will take some time for you to receive.

"I would never recommend this company to anyone. I placed my order on 12/15 for a pre-modded PS2. On the website, it said all orders placed BEFORE 12/19 would arrive by Christmas. It also said I would be provided with a tracking number. I didn't hear from them until Dec. 23 when, in response to an email fro me, they said it would ship "next week." I got a call the next week saying it had shipped. Two weeks later I had no tracking number and no box. I emailed them three more times, got no response. After they redid their website I could no longer even FIND my order online. For nearly three weeks their live support was down, I could never get a live person over the phone and my messages weren't answered. Finally, their online live chat was fixed. I spent one night waiting 4 hours for a response to my message before I gave up. The next night, I waited 3 and finally got a response from an incredibly rude person who said "they were busy with something else" and that was why I hadn't gotten my PS2. He couldn't tell me anything about my order or whether it had shipped, wouldn't agree to have someone email me with more information, and just stopped talking when I asked when I should call to actually speak to a live person. I sent an email telling them that if I didn't hear anything from them, I would have my credit card company get my money back. No response. I tried livechat againa nd after half an hour, I talked with someone who informed me, very politely, that my box hadn't even been built yet! They hadn't even started and they'd had my money for a month! The rude person I spoke with doesn't work for them, apparently, he just "helps out" so it's okay that he was rude and unprofessional. He didn't have any excuse for why I hadn't received any emails in response to the 4 I sent. He canceled my order for me, so now I'm waiting to see them money put back on my account. NEVER order from these people! They are unprofessional, uncommunicative, unhelpful, slow, and they don't keep any of their promises. I wasted a whole month waiting and my boyfriend still doesn't have his Christmas present!"
