"New Fox 40 DH fork received damaged with huge leaking oil . Also the box is used and broken even missing part.

Do not order from CRC!

"Not free shipping! Don’t expect to only pay duty/taxes. Your order total will be doubled by the shipper through made up fees. They use the cheapest shipper they can find who makes up for the lowest rate but charging the person completely absurd fee - warehousing, airline, handling, customs brokerage. Everything they can think of. Do not order from this company. "

Should have read the reviews before making a purchase with Chain Reaction Cycles.

"Ordered about $150 worth of merchandise. Never arrived. After about a month i called CRC, they took my information and said that someone will call me back. No one did. Called again and they gave me an email. So i sent an email to them stating that my order never arrived. Copied the tracking details from the courier and pasted them in the email. It stated my package was damaged and then delivered to the wrong address in a different city! They sent me an email back asking if i would like a refund or the order sent again. I said refund twice, at the start and at the end of the email. They sent the package again intentionally ignoring my request for a refund. I contacted a manager about the issue. She said they will not issue a refund until they are able to retrieve the "accidental" order. It's stuck at customs and who knows how long that will take. Forced to contact my credit card company. What a waste of time. Save yourself the stress and buy elsewhere. "

Cancelled Order, No Explanation

"Chain Reaction Cycles doesn't want my business?

I am in the USA... but of course Chain Reaction Cycles (in the UK) purports to sell/ship to the USA.

I attempted 2 orders. Both were cancelled within minutes, without any communication from Chain Reaction Cycles. Both were for items that are largely out of stock at my usual suppliers here in the USA (forcing me to seek them via web search, from whoever/wherever might have stock).

The first order seemed to go through OK, but apparently was cancelled because my credit card was declined (that card has experienced some fraud problems in the last couple of years, and the bank is being overcautious with new merchants). Entirely my fault, I should have cleared it with the bank first (though that might not have done any good... read on).

The second order included all the items from the first order, plus some. I used a different credit card this time, and I logged in to my online banking immediately and checked my transaction history. A pending charge was present, and all appeared to be well. Nevertheless, within minutes this order was also cancelled, and beyond that a refund to the pending charge was issued (which also appeared in my transaction history).

This second credit card has not experienced any fraud issues, is in regular use (many times a week), in person and online. No other merchants have had problems with it (including for transactions in excess of $15K+ at a time). I contacted my bank to see if there had been a problem. They informed me there had not. As far as they could tell, everything had gone smoothly. This was no automated snafu, this was some form of explicit action on the part of Chain Reaction Cycles, taken entirely for reasons of their own.

Another merchant might have contacted me, explained the situation (insufficient stock, problem with my billing address, whatever), and worked with me on a resolution. Not Chain Reaction Cycles. Chain Reaction Cycles simply blew me off, without explanation or recourse, wasting my time in the process. I have no choice but to conclude they do not want my business. That is their privilege, of course. I will not impose on them again. I will source the merchandise from a merchant who DOES want my business.

Worst online bike part company

"Have ordered numerous bike parts online and this particular company is by far the worse. Do not get sucked into a good deal any issues what so ever will not get resolved. That should be their 365 day guarantee."

Awful customer service, not recommend to deal with them!

"Ordered a wheel pump for my bike recently. It was of a very poor quality, obviously damaged from the manufacturer. Contacted customer support, sent them photos. After they got the photos - no communication from them but received an email saying they’ve shipped me another pump already which I never asked for. The quality is poor, delivery to US takes at least 1 week, usually up to 2 weeks. I emailed them saying I was never communicated about it and don’t need another pump, would prefer a refund and buy it elsewhere. Reply was just “terrific” - you never said you don’t want another pump so we sent it. No explanations, no further communication. I wrote another email saying I don’t need 2 poor quality products but it is being ignored as my previous message as well. It is ridiculous and I would never deal with them again. No respect, no communication. "

Absolute worst service ever

"I found a good deal with them, and decided to buy the pair of shoes I needed, because I have certain problems with size(mine is EU51). So, I tried to order them. It appeared once I selected the country it emptied my basket and redirected with to the website of theirs that was dedicated to my locale. Well, and guess what, those very shoes where available in sized up to EU49. Well I decided this had to be a mistake so I contacted support, where tech support guy told me and I quote "We work with Shimano for many years and they do not distribute any of their goods outside of Europe". Ok, I live in Ukraine, this is Europe, we do have a lot of Shimano, we have several official distributors of Shimano (****, Paul Lagne etc,), and even thier very website had a very same pair of shoes, but the size up to EU49. And he ended up with "We can't send the orders from our main website "outside of Europe", use your local one". Thus, he closed the ticket monolaterally.

Then I tried to order a pair of shoes to GB(to my friend's address). Twice. And both times my payment got refunded and order cancelled without any explainations whatsoever.

I wouldn't remember that if they hadn't done something really cynical. Yesterday I received an email to review the pair of shoes I never received. I don't understand if that's a mockery or anything, but I tried to post a review, but even that was refused, because of I quote "mentions customer service issues, was written lacking personal experience, is vague or needs more detail".

Quote: "Your opinion is very important to us and the Chain Reaction Cycles community". Is it really?

P.S. I've got all postage, order history, tech support responces logs for anyone doubt this happened for real.

While writing this review, I have contacted them and waiting for a reply.

I bought 2 Brooks saddles from them. One in Honey and one in brown as gifts. The brown came in a box , backboard with saddle attached, tightening tool like it should. Great. The Honey came used, missing box, board, tightening tool, and has a nice long mark in the middle of the saddle and a few small dents. There were no packing protecting in box either. Well, for sure the Honey color saddle is used, missing a few things. I contacted them waiting for a reply. If they don't response in a day or two I will try to contact Paypal or my cc. Again, these are gifts and I am not giving someone a used, missing parts saddle. I know it's used because the brown has a strong leather smell upon opening but the Honey one does not even smelling up close.

Very bad for sending damaged, missing parts, used saddle as new. I only know this because I bought two B17 saddles and had bought one in the past along with many biking friends. My first time dealing with them, we'll have to see how this will be resolved.

Oh, in case they try to say they sent both new, I still have the shipping box as it's so small and can only fit one saddle box and the used one was stuff in off the side.

Awful customer service. Never resolved the problem-never received refund even after their written promise.

"Sad story began in spring 2016 with a beautiful Creme bike purchased on Sale. Received it, drove for couple of weeks when gears started playing up. Took it to trusted local service where they said gear mechanism is faulty and needs replacing. After that i tried getting help from CRC on numerous occasions but succeeded. They wrote to me agreeing to refund my money as they admitted bike was faulty but never ever issues a refund. I use that bike to commute to/from work.
I managed to arrange them to pick up bike and repair it but it came back with same fault. Took it to local Halfords Store where i have arranged manufacturer Creme to ship original replacement parts-paid altogether £120 for repair (manufacturer send me parts for free) and now i finally have my bike properly working-NOT THANKS TO CRC-SHAME ON YOU!

Front wheel sent vs the rear i ordered

"CRC sent a front wheel while i ordered a rear. The shipping box and packing was so poor it cannot be used for return. So need to get a wheel shipping box to return it.

Wrong part shipped and no refund on shipping.

"The website claims to pay for shipping charges if the product which was shipped was incorrect, but when I followed-up on the delayed refund I was informed that you must contact them in advance for that condition to be met. This was not mentioned up-front and I am out of my shipping charges. I have spent $2,848.12 with them in the past two years and they will not live up to what was stated on their website for $19.30.
I am sure that there are plenty of American retailers who would love to have customers such as myself and I will give all future business to Universal Cycles instead!

Horrible experience - PLS AVOID CRC

"I succesfuly made payment for 1 unit Nukeproof Mega 290 Comp and received a confirmation order email right after that. After few hours, as i checked the "Track My Order" option just to know the progress, i was really shocked to learnt that the order status was "Cancelled". I was puzzled, was it a technical error or something because there was no notification/email/call regarding the cancellation. So i contacted CRC using their Live Chat feature. The guy that represents CRC told me he had no info about the cancellation and advice me to wait for relevent department who handle my order to reach me and explain why my order been cancelled. After 2 days, i received an email for refund. In that email, nothing about reason why my order has been cancelled. So i contacted CRC again via email and live chat. The answer still the same - He knows nothing about the cancellation. I was very frustrated as i loss my time (refund will reflect in my acc in 5 days or more according to CRC) and also loss of money due to currency exchange by bank. As they failed to provide reason for cancellation, i tried to nego with them for a rebate/voucher for my next purchase as i really wanted to buy the Mega 290. Once again, they failed to handle me instead the guy asked me to discuss with the bank and ended the conversation abruptly. I still think CRC should be responsible for my loss as they cancelled my order without any info/valid reason. They have just loss one potential buyer and i hope they will loss more so that they can start hear what their customer problem and try to solve it ! I will not recommend CRC to any my riding friends anymore. NEVER !!"

Avoid chain Reaction Cycles

"Bought some Clarks brakes that were faulty but chain Reaction Cycles said it must have been my fault for not using the tool correctly. I’m a service engineer of 30 plus years experience. I know it wasn’t my fault but they wouldn’t even let me send them back so they could see for themselves. I’ve just bought the wife a new qube and have spent about £800 this year so they obviously don’t value loyalty or give any. "
