"These people are or person is a moron! I bought $131.07 worth of Wera electricians tools. I got the tracking number and the package was listed as delivered by the post office. I never got the package. But I did get video from 2 cameras in my driveway that show the mailman was parked across the street for over four minutes and never came to my house to deliver. I have filed 2 claims with the post office and am now considering calling the police. Through this entire ordeal I am going through, with my back injury, etc. Guess where chuds toolbox is? They ignored my emails and phone calls. When I reported the dispute to PayPal, they won the case, citing proof of delivery!! How do I know they even shipped what I paid for, after reading the reviews here? CHUD. l will consider removing this feedback, WHEN I get my money back! This will not be my last review of you by any stretch of the imagination!"

"Bottom line: these guys are great! Now let me back up a bit and tell you why.

After reading the reviews here, I was hesitant to do business with this company. I didn’t like the idea of “chargeback” fees if/when there’s a credit card dispute. On the other hand, I can understand why Chad’s needs to protect themselves from unscrupulous buyers and the website made it clear that they’d work with you to make things right.

The other concern was that their address was listed in Jackson, Wyoming but they shipped from Wasilla, Alaska. But given the “3-day Priority Mail” they promise, I wasn’t worried.

So I ordered. And in three days, I had my tool. That’s what I call a flawless transaction. A couple of days later I had a question about the tool so I sent an email. I had an answer in my inbox in five minutes!

So like I said, based on my experience, these guys are great. Would I do business with them again? You bet I would!

"Placed an order from Australia for a set of Knipex gland pliers in July 2013.. Still waiting for them to arrive. Emailed them several times to ask why my order hasn't been delivered and their response was the same everytime.. "Not thier problem". Fair to say DO NOT order anything from this company cause they simply don't care what happens after you've paid for your order."

"Well first the good.
I ordered 2 Zem enhanced hearing protection earplugs from this company. My call to customer service was pleasant. Online ordering was painless and my items were shipped and recieved promptly. They also had the best price I could find.
The Bad
When my items arrived I noticed I was shipped the less expensive 28 decibel earplugs not the 32 decibel "enhanced" ones that other sites advertised as enhanced. I called customer service and told them I wished to return them since it was not the enhanced earplugs that were advertised and asked them to waive the restocking fees. They told me to e-mail them with the reason above stated and they would advise me on how to return them. The return e-mail stated there would be a restocking fee for the return.
Bottom Line
Be sure what you order from Chad is what you will get. The return shipping and restocking fees for a miss advertised item turned me off and will not order from Chad again.
On the Bright Side
I sold my items to a friend for cost with no fees. Sorry Chad.

"After weighing the discussions here and evaluating a few emails answered by Chad's, I placed an order 1/25/2012 at 4:56am. It was confirmed at 5:56am. AT 1:20pm the same day, I had a USPS tracking number. 10:27pm on 1/27/2012 it left the USPS processing facility on the East coast. As I write this, the order has departed a postal facility 19 miles from me in Los Angeles. I expect it will be in my hands today or Monday.

My impression from the email exchange is that they are satisfied with the customer base they have and like it that way. They don't cater to anyone. I will definitely order again. I also make sure to order only what is in stock.

Okay, I'm back for a 2nd review, but apparently I can't submit a separate one, so I'll add on to this one.

My experience with Chad's in no way meshes with the negative reviews here. On Jan 31, I ordered again from Chad's. Friday, Feb 3, my product arrived. What the heck is wrong with that? NOTHING. What I'm saying is that I'm now two for two without a problem of any type which makes me wonder just a wee bit about the authenticity of some of the experiences recounted by others. How can their experiences be real AND my experience totally opposite be real? I would encourage others to do what I did and place a small order, see how it goes and then order again. There's nothing wrong with Chad's from my point of view.

"Agree with everyone's views and only wished in hindsight that we checked the reviews before we placed an order.

I wish the US government shuts this business down...

We are an Australian Tool company and were unable to get some Stahlwille torque accessories locally so we purchased these items online from ChadsToolbox on 8th of June 2011. After numerous emails to a nameless person who replies to my emails, we were advised that the items were dispatched on the 4th of Aug 2011. Its the 13th of September :mad: and we have not yet received these items and unable to track the consignment.

We are constantly fobbed off when we attempt to contact the company....my recommendations would be to sincerely avoid this business.:shocking:

"This company offers great products and great pricing but what they don't tell you is everything is out of stock and takes months to get, and if you cancel the order they rip you off with a cancellation fee, if that isn't bad enough when you request the don't charge this to you they treat you like you have no right to request this. This business must only be here to get the fee's from the cancellations that people make due to the many out of stock items. Now I see the reviews and everyone who has posted the complaints are 100% accurate. If you want to save yourself the aggravation and the "fee's" for nothing, do yourself a favor and pay the extra couple of bucks from the reputable companies not this one, they will tie your funds up for months and then treat you horrible as if you had done something wrong. On top of that they are 100% rude and have NO customer service other then to treat you like a criminal. Bad company just say NO."

"I should have checked here before ordering. This is one website that I would avoid at all cost.

Placed my order and credit card got charged the next day. Then, no more communication from them until I emailed them 2 weeks later. Told me items are on backorder and will fulfill in 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks passed by and no communication. Emailed again, they told me to wait another 2 weeks.

After 2.5 months, I can't wait any longer, requested to cancel my order. Now, they are charging me cancellation fee!! This was after I saw discrepancy in refund posted to my CC. They didn't even communicate this "cancellation fee" to the customer before or after the order was cancelled.

Just to add, they didn't apologize or feel sorry about what happened in all email communication. I am going to dispute the charge with AMEX if they don't refund "cancellation fee".

"Scam site - do not purchase from them. Placed an order on items that were "in stock". I was later informed that they were on indefinite backorder from the manufacturer. When I cancelled the order, I was only partially refunded. They ignored all phone calls, emails and chats that pertain to any refund. I'm disputing the order with my bank. Save yourself the hassle and don't order from them. Thieves."

"This store is internet based and advertises almost everything, there is no customer support. you can chat and leave a message to call if that is what you call support. They are rude and can change the pricing while you are chatting, that means that the person that is chatting with you have a full control of the web base and pricing. This person is not interested in talking on the phone which could be faster and quicker way of support. I do not think they are interested in selling, I think they are trying to get as much info on you and then doing whatever with the information. Extremely rude people, even on the chatting, surprised. Amazed that some people can make a fancy site and attract attention. BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THEM"

"I'm not going to write a long review because the amount of money I got ripped off by this guy isn't worth it. I haven't decided whether I will dispute it with my credit card company because it was only $5.16. I've been shopping online for close to 20 years now and this company is at the very bottom of the list of reliable and trustworthy merchants. My wish is that anyone that reads this will not buy anything from this company. Prices appear to be good but they do not deliver and are rude. Even though I know this is vague you would be wise to steer clear of them. Trust me. Some people have pathetic little lives and this person is obviously one of them. "I was very excited to find this store, they seem to carry only the best tools in class. I have always been a fan of one of their brands, but I never heard of some of the others. I was also a bit disapointed to not have product pictures for many of the items, but I loaded the catalogs and ended making a pretty large order with many different items. 4 days later a box came with most of the items, and about a week after that the remaining items arrived. "

ChadsToolbox.com seems to be an amateurish, poorly-run operation. I was told, probably by "Chad" himself, that, as a policy, they do not provide tracking information to customers, even, apparently, when somebody such as myself specifically requests it (after my order had been delayed for a week, with no explanation). Nor do they, as a policy, *answer the telephone*. Quote, "Our phone is pretty much not touched, we are an internet sales company." Unfortunately, they don't seem to reply to emails consistently either.

Only after ten days, two emails, and a phone call, did I finally obtain my order status. The tone of Chad's reply indicated that he was annoyed, and felt put-upon, to have to provide order status information to a customer.

At this point, roughly 90% of the online vendors I deal with immediately send shipping notifications with tracking numbers. Most of them apparently forward shipping notifications directly from the software they use to print shipping labels (or packing slips). Thus, it's a couple mouse clicks, not rocket science.

Furthermore, I don't even expect a vendor who lists a manufacturer's full product catalog on their web site to keep everything 100% in stock, but in that case, one of two things needs to happen. Either a customer should be sent a notification when an item is backordered, each time. Or else the vendor should explain the situation very plainly on their web site, with a prominent, standard-type disclaimer, e.g., "We try to keep popular items in stock, but allow 2-3 weeks delivery on items that must be obtained through our distributor. Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships."

In contrast, simply ignoring a customer's communications while an item is backordered, is not an appropriate way to deal with it.

I'm still trying to match some of my "favorite" tools, to create a second toolbox, but if I want more Knipex items, I will obtain them through some other dealer.
