"Did not honor sale. Received my order, charged my card, did not tell me they didn't have it in stock until 5 days later, after competitors with similar prices were out of stock. Now I'm out of luck. Buyer BEWARE. Classic to good to be true web traffic generator. Ruined my Christmas don't let them ruin yours."

"Central cannot be trusted! I too ordered a media extender and they did not ship it. They sent me a very generic cancellation email. They decided not to honor their Black Friday sales. Buyer beware, you have been warned!"

"Ordered a media center from Linksys. Received a confirmation email stating that it would ship in less than 48 hours. No follow up until December 8th when they send an email canceling the order. No justification, no statement as to whether my credit card was refunded. Nothing. Won't deal with them again."

"I ordered a computer case from Central Computers on 11/28 that was on sale for their black Friday sale online. The case was shipped out the following Monday and arrived the next day because they are close enough that UPS delivers in one day from their Sunnyvale location.

When the case arrived, I noticed that the box was slightly beat up and thought the case inside should be ok because cases usually get shipped in their own boxes. Then I looked carefully at the box and it was for a different case! I thought they sent me the wrong case or maybe the put the case in a another box but that didn't make sense...I opened the box and inside was the boxed case that I ordered packed with styrofoam peanuts. The box inside was in pristine condition because the outer box protected it.

Good stuff! Quick shipping and items were well packed.

"Bought an eee pc for over $700...kept losing wireless signal in my home (about 10 other wireless computers work fine in my home) took it to the store and since they could not duplicate the failure there, (after I waited around for well over a half an hour), they refused to exchange the item...took it home again and it failed in 5 minutes. IMHO Central Computer is not a good place to buy expensive items because they don't know how to treat their good customers well, poor customer service would be what I would call it...I will never shop there again...."

"I ordered a monitor that was listed on their website and never received a confirmation e-mail. When I inquired by telephone I was told that confirmation e-mails were sent and that the product was on back order. I was told that confirmation e-mail would be sent but no additional e-mail were received and I cancelled the order. One month later I then tried to purchase a laptop from them, and given my previous experience called the Sunnyvale store ahead of time to determine product availability. I was assured that there were four models available for evaluation but when I arrived the person whom I spoke with hours earlier could only find two of the four models he mentioned over the phone and neither would boot up. I had my wife with me whom I wanted to grant approval and needless to say they lost over $2K in business as I was ready to buy on the spot. "

"I just had a very good experience with two of the tech guys (Wing, Patrick) in the new Sunnyvale store.
I was having trouble diagnosing problems with a system that I am building from parts from various on-line retailers. I had previously RMA'd the motherboard, but that did not fix the problem. For the Central Computers basic $29 diagnostic fee, they swapped in a different video board and a different processor to prove that the problem is in the motherboard. In other words, the problem seems to be present in a complete batch of Abit motherboards. It's not a driver issue because you see the problem (incorrect CPU temperature report) on the BIOS setup screen before any OS gets loaded.
I was in and out in 36 minutes ... That's what I call prompt service.

I've spent a lot of money with Central Computers over the years. I intend to keep giving them a good share of my business.

"I placed the order on the 4th, and you say the item is in stock, but it takes 9 days to process and ship the order? Do you think this is good service? I also notice that it is shipping 2nd day air. "As of 3/29/07, it has been 17 days since I ordered a 3/8'' extension. I sent you an e-mail a week after ordering it. Its been 10 more days now since that e-mail and no part has showed up STILL!! I ended up ordering the same part from Snap-on and recieved it 2 days after placing the order.

I feel as a customer, its my responsibility to let someone know when there is a problem so management can address them. This is just rediculous! I will never be ordering anything through your website again! I am not sure how you guys run your business, but we have deadlines to meet and with such long shipping durations, its impossible to satisfy those deadlines.

I am disappointed and hope you may have better organization in the future.

"I placed an order for a Zalman VGA cooler. They had an outstanding price. However, I have to say that since I was not familiar with this reseller -- and combined with such a low price on the item -- I was a bit nervous placing my order. Well, let me say that everything went absolutely PERFECT! I could not ask for a better shopping experience. I placed my order around 6am CST and by 4:30pm CST the same day my order was already shipped out. This was just outstanding. A very professional & well organized reseller IMO.

I will most certainly order from centralcomputers.com again. And I will definitely recommend them to others.
