Do not trust rates Published

"Reservation was on my Son's name (Gagana) and the payment made on my Card(Sarathchandra).Fox denied this and refused to give us the Car.This was not disclosed to us at the time of reservation on your (Carrentals.com)web site.
We were helpless and Fox demanded for Loss damage waiver on my Name to accept as a legal payment.I know Fox took the advantage of the situation and finally we paid $263.05.(Car rentals agreed price 131.41). My Credit Card Company has Loss damage waiver.
We never rent from Fox and also do not trust car rentals.com as a reliable web site.
Fox is the worst-ever Car Rental Company.Even the Check in Staff not friendly.

Not a helpful staff

"Did not get my car in California because U-Save canceled my reservation. Called carrentals, they kept saying "we can't do anything" and refuse to refund me despite the cancelation was not my fault. Ended up not getting the car nor getting my money back. "

Do not use

"After paying in full we were told that or booking was cancelled by enterprise car rental in Hobart. Leaving us stranded over Christmas. Car rentals would only offer to make another booking and charge four times the price when I refused to pay extra they would not refund terrible service wrecked our holiday please don’t get conned by this company."

Go somewhere else!

"Not only was this place pure bait and switch, but they didn't care about my bad experience with the rental company. They didn't care about how they treated us when we showed up to pick up the rental car or about how the payment methods and amounts were never disclosed to us. They didn't even care that we spent hours of our vacation trying to sort things out only to have to go to another car rental company. After all of that, they refused to refund what we paid for the rental car that we did not use. I will not be doing business with them again and suggest you look elsewhere for making your rental reservations. "

"I am a unhappy customer sharing my experience. I reserved a car, Warning, always pay later because if you need to change it , good luck. Small print :
This pre-paid reservation cannot be canceled, changed or refunded. Life changes, plans change. Please do not rent from this company/service. Thank you.

Their operation is set up to take your money with no support and no way to fix problems

"I got fraudulent charges on my credit card immediately after making a reservation. No way to prove that, but of course it caused my credit card company to send me a new card. Carrentals.com STRANDED me in a foreign city because they were literally explicitly unwilling to update the new credit card on file. This is a major problem because you can't pick up a car with out the exact same card present. Credit cards expire and change and of course you can't present a non-existent card, so how can a company do business without the ability to update your credit card billing? Of course you can, but "Miguel" in carrentals.com customer service (working 11/30/18 around 11AM EST) was worst, most inhuman, rude customer service person I've ever had to talk to, and he refused to do so. Not to mention, they make their website impossible to call and get help, once you finally get ahold of them, they will not help and hang up on you. They stole my money, and no service was provided at all."

WORSE DECISION EVER MADE

My order at car rentals didn't pass at all - not Economyrentacar's fault.
I had a vacation at Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, I planned everything till I came to rent a car with your company and all my perfect vacation changed.

After arriving at the airport I wanted to take the car I have ordered from economy company via your site, for my surprise, they didn't head about my order and told me that I needed to pay more 250$ (plus the 72$ I already paid on car rentals site for the insurance) and they told me that is the basic package, and I can't take the car unless I will pay this amount -
this amount is not close to the amount I needed to pay by the car rental site calculation -
about 60$ - something they called loyalty tax and more weird stuff I was so tired after my flight of 15 hours.

To the biggest part, they wanted 2000$ deposit from my Visa to hold for the car rental.
the car rentals site told me I will pay 133$ at the confirmation including everything! (insurance and car).

I wasn't prepared for 2000$ deposit, and not for 250$ car rental addition price.
I had trouble to pay for my hotel because all my visa was stuck with 2000$ - I paid with cash to the hotel (571 USD).
now do your calculation - that left me without any cash money or availability to withdrawal money from ATM at the vacation !!

you have ruined my vacation.

"***BEWARE READ THIS BEFORE RENTING!!*** The policy of carrentals.com is that you must complete the contract with car rental agency at the exact moment of the reservation or earlier. If you are one minute late the reservation is no longer valid and the car rental can charge you any amount of money for the reservation. Even if the delay was due to shuttle pickup or a long line at the desk if you are one minute late your reservation is null and void. This was confirmed in a recorded call with Luis a superviser from carrentals.com. If you book direct with the car rental companies you wont have to worry about this!!!!!!!"

"I just tried to have information about the car I wanted to rent and the lady over the phone was super embittered, she was speaking to me so rudely I was shocked! I WOULD NEVER RENT A CAR IN THAT COMPANY de merde.

If you don't want to do your job just quit and don't make people feel angry b!

Horrible Customer service

"Paid for the car in advance and then when we arrived in Arizona were told could not rent it because the paperwork wasn't accurate. Called and spoke with someone who was rude, when I asked to speak to a supervisor he hung on me."

If you have issues they steal your money

"I rented a car through there app, but when I got to hertz they had not destructed the money to hertz. Hertz wouldn’t rent me the car because of a anti debit card policy and even with a note from the hertz manager car rentals.com refused to refund my money saying I was a no show. Then after I asked to escalated to a manager I was ignored. Beware!"

No vehicle, no refund

"Paid in advance for a van rental, given written confirmation, vehicle not available upon arrival. Nasty office person.

Asked to speak to manager, was not available. Called manager's number posted on flyer in the business, no answer, left voicemail, never called backed.

They promised a refund, never happened. Was finally refunded via a chargeback from my bank nearly two months later!

Lying crooks!

The old switch and bait!

"I went on Expedia, who directed me to you for a car rental. I wound up with the above referenced rental. And that is where the trouble begins! I asked for a reservation at Saint Louis Missouri Airport. Received multiple quotes, chose yours because it seemed to be the best value without realizing your website had changed the reservation to a location 24 miles away from the St Louis Airport Hertz.

I arrived in Missouri after a day of traveling, caught the Hertz shuttle, stood in line, only for them to tell me it was going to be over $500 for the car, if they could find one. When I asked about my reservation, they said it wasn't there...it was in Green Park Missouri, so I called them and they did have my reservation but I had to take a cab to them...which cost $53 plus tip of $12.

Now I need to return the car to the same location and pay another $65 to get to the airport, or pay a $20 drop off fee to leave it at the Hertz I was supposed to get it from to begin with. Which of course I will choose the latter.

Now, I am sure that there was some fine print somewhere that told me I was getting a car from somewhere other than where I asked for, but I promise you I didn't see it! It would never occur to me the address was for other than what I requested...I don't know the address for the Hertz I was supposed to be at, other than St Louis Airport Hertz, which I have booked on at least 5 prior occasions in the last 7 years.

So now, my $159 car is going to cost me an additional $85...how is this a value? I could have booked directly with Hertz through my AAA and Gold membership and saved myself a lot of headaches, two hours of fixing this, as well as some money!

Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!

"I booked a car from Denver airport with drop off at Boulder. The confirmation email showed drop off in completely different town! I called carrentals.com and they would not change the reservation, or let me talk with a supervisor, or let me cancel. I finally just blocked the charge through my bank. These guys are CROOKS!!!!!"

Scam Artist! Beware!!!!

"Carentals.com's website defaulted to the following week of my requested reservation date.

They refused to switch to the weekend that I actually needed the vehicle and they refused to reimburse me.

I had to book via Orbitz to get the same same vehicle.

Car Rentals .com is a technical scam, dont trust them!!!!
