They don't even deserve this one star

"I wish I could give them 0 star, which is all they deserve. Submitted an order by mistake, then tried everything possible to cancel that order, only to no avail: called them multiple times but nobody answered; wrote them multiple emails and only to be notified, in two days, that my package had been shipped out and there was nothing they could do about it. Such company should not exist, period!"

Campsaver? How bout time waster!!

"I took Campsaver.Com's invoice at face value after placing the order, it stated that shipping was FREE. But they came back saying it was a mistake and wanted me to pay $225 for shipping? Definitely not paying that, after the original invoice I have posted here stated the shipping was free. Spoke to upper management and they didn't really didn't want to honor their original invoice price either. They need to post shipping charges from the get go, instead of springing unwanted surprises on customers wasting everyone's time"

Got a screaming deal and it shipped right away.

"I almost didnt place an order with CampSaver based on the negative reviews, but Im glad I did and felt like I should share my positive experience. I bought a Werner Kayak paddle (which never goes on sale) for almost 40% off. I just received the paddle today, 4 days after placing my order, its brand new, well packaged, and exactly as described on their site, Thanks!"

Quick and easy for my experience

"While I don't doubt all the negative reviews regarding shipping and customer service, I just wanted to chime in that not every transaction is such.

Despite looking over these reviews and similar on other sites, they had a backpacking tent I wanted for $60 cheaper than anywhere else, and it showed they had several in stock. I didn't need it until October and didn't have any concern if they were to not charge my card until the order shipped (as others have complained), so I went ahead and ordered.

I ordered on a Saturday night and got the package delivered (from Utah to Phoenix, AZ area) the following Friday! No issues with product or anything else here.

Refund for Returns a giant JOKE!!!

"Me: It wasn't supposed to be a store credit. It was supposed to be a refund. Respectfully,
Campsaver: Thank you for your email, according to the notes on your RMA, your return was sent back to us used, and with used items we can only issue store credit.
Me: Oh. My. God. It's running shoes. I ran 2 miles in them and they nearly destroyed my legs. How are you supposed to test running shoes without running in them?????? I returned them within 30 days--which is what all shoes stores give you--and with the tags. You guys owe me a refund.
Campsaver: Thank you for your email, respectfully, the shoes were returned used and show signs of that use, they cannot be sold as new, and as per our returns policy we can only issue store credit for them, even if you returned them within 30 days.
Me: That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. They're running shoes. It's impossible to test running shoes without wearing them. I'm not doing business with you guys again.

Campsaver exceeded expectations

"I read a lot of negative reviews here, but decided to give them a try as they appeared to have a lot of stock on an Arcteryx hoodie I wanted and their outlet price was great. Ordered on a Saturday evening - item arrived on Wednesday to Montana even with their value free shipping option. Item was in new condition - will consider them for more purchases.

Ridiculous Service

"I thought this company was going to be like REI. HUGE LESSON LEARNED!!! Stick with trusted companies. Not worth the extra savings for very cheap service. I didn't check the reviews and just trusted the company blindly. I guess that was my bad."

If I could go lower I would.

"Unfortunately, I placed an order with this company without looking at the reviews because they were a couple bucks cheaper than the others. Well, here it is 12 days later, no contact from them, and my items still have not shipped. Looking at these other reviews it seems I would be fortunate to get the items before I grow old, I've sent an email I'm eagerly awaiting the reply. In the bottom of the "thanks for ordering here's your receipt" (paraphrased) email in the fine print they go ahead and tell you how miserable the shipping is going to be, don't believe me or any of these other reviews. Go ahead and order, you can be the next one star for these guys.. Your better off paying the extra from.any other company"

Steer clear at all costs!!!

"Lesson learned! Read reviews before purchasing from a new vendor - I now understand why CampSaver has such terrible reviews online. As disappointed as I was with the inaccurate shipping information I received, I cannot even say that CampSaver at least provided a prepaid return shipping label for my inconvenience of having to purchase all the items locally after paying them for expedited shipping! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and requires a warning to all potential consumers to steer clear of CampSaver!"

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - 5 YEAR CUSTOMER

"On Septenmber 19th, I placed a $655 order with Campsaver and revieved a PayPal reciept. This reciept said that 'Campsaver would contact me to complete the order'. After 36 hours and nothing, I wrote to them. They responded another day later saying they had no record. I sent them the PayPal reciept as proof...they simply replied - Call Customer Service. No explaination, no appolpgies.. Nothing. So in the mean time, the sale finished and the prices went UP.

So I called, FROM AUSTRALIA, ON MY DIME. They reinstated the order... And then cancelled it again 24 hours later with an email seriously trying to Antagonise me...

There is alot more to this story but I'm fed up.
THE VERY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE INTERNET.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Excellent pricing, customer service and shipping time!

"If you are reading this you are doing what is the norm and that would be doing your due diligence when online shopping. NO.... I have 0 affiliation with Camp Saver, but felt it just to give my recent positive experience as it seems some folks only cry wolf when they experience a poor circumstance and do not take the time to give positive feedback.
I was extremely excited to see that the boots I was shopping for were +/- 25-30% cheaper on Camp Saver than any other site or brick and mortar store I researched. That is a savings in the realm of $140 in my case! Unfortunately, after looking over the reviews I was instantly bummed out. BUT>.. what was I to do with the opportunity of this kind of savings? I picked up the phone and was put on hold for maybe 2 minutes. When my call was fielded I wanted to confirm that my preferred boot style and size was available, which they were, then ask the awkward question as to why it appeared they had such awful reviews at the time of my research. After a short discussion with customer service, I felt that I was in good hands and proceeded with my order. I used the standard "Free" shipping option which says 10-14 days and received my boots literally 50 hours after ordering! Needless to say... my experience as very good. Thank you Camp Saver and hoping more folks will share their positive experience after shopping with you.

Awful customer service, glacially slow shipping, but good product

"Bottom line up front: CampSaver customer service: zero stars. Pants: four stars.

First, the Arc'Teryx Theta SV bib pants are fine. As others have said, they are another high quality Arc'Teryx product. However, they are really suited more for skiing and not for hiking. They are fairly baggy. I'm 5'6 with a slender build. The size Small/Short was too long by at least 3-4 inches for me. They are well constructed and look like they would hold up to some heavy use.

Shipping...another story. I'm in the military and had these shipped to an APO address. I used the same address I always do, but somehow these took 8-9 weeks to reach me. The trip I had planned to use them on came and went. CampSaver blames the USPS, and that may be the culprit, but I typically receive USPS packages in 7-20 days, depending on where they originate. The average is probably 14 days. I'd have second thoughts about CampSaver again if this were the only problem, but the real problem surfaced later.

Customer Service: The worst I've experienced in many years. Infuriating is a better description. If you want the gory details, feel free to keep reading. If not, suffice it to say that CampSaver has lost a customer. Do they care? Maybe, but it doesn't seem so. I'm so frustrated with CampSaver that I've gone out of my way to create new accounts at Reseller Ratings, Yelp, and Trust Pilot just to give CampSaver a poor review.

I ordered these pants on 2 July. Four weeks after placing my order, I contacted CampSaver to see where the pants were, letting them know that I had ordered them more than four weeks in advance of a trip to Norway and had to leave on the trip without them. CS wrote back but didn't have any idea where the pants were. I also had my local APO (Army Post Office) initiate a tracer. After 7 weeks, CampSaver sent an email, saying "Where it has been this long and they have not had luck finding it we will go ahead and refund the order since we don't have more stock to send a replacement. If they do locate and deliver please let us know." About three weeks later, I received the package (13 September). On 14 September I let CS know that I'd received them and wanted to return them since my reason for ordering them had come and gone, and said my only shipping option at the APO was USPS. They were fine with me shipping the pants back, but insisted I use PayPal to receive their refund. At this point, CS's Customer Service rep became increasingly hostile and accusatorial in his emails, implying that I was somehow trying to keep the pants and not pay for them because I didn't have a PayPal account and wanted them to credit my credit card for the shipping: "If you are keeping the item though we would need to have you pay for it since we have refunded the card. If the item is unpaid for and not returned we will be marking this account as fraud and will not be doing further business. Please let me know what will work best for you to get this issue resolved." This was followed with "It is up to you where we go from here since you have both the product and the money. I am just letting you know what I will be doing if the item is not returned." Since I contacted them immediately after receiving the pants and told them I would like to return them, I don't know where this particular CS Customer Service Rep was getting this. After I wrote that I was going to give them a poor review, I got a half-apology. All of my emails went to a group email address, and any one of the Customer Service supervisors could have intervened...but did not. CampSaver needs to re-evaluate who they hire in their Customer Service department. This is not how you treat a customer when your business is 100% about selling stuff to customers. As any experienced customer service rep knows, most unhappy customers can be placated with a sincere apology. They are not all looking for a discount or some monetary compensation--I certainly was not.
