"Placed my order. Within 24 hours, called to confirm, agreed to 'extras'. The status of my order was "In Shipping" for nearly a month. When I called to find out when to expect shipment (no tracking #) I was hung up on repeatedly. Finally decided to cancel order -- got the major run-around. Finally had to turn ot over to my credit card company.
Stay away from these guys -- I had the worst experience than with any internet vendor.

"I ordered a Fuji S7000 from Cameratopia at their website - good advertised price and stated they had the camera in stock. AFTER placing the order, received an e-mail stating I must telephone them to confirm. I did. They tried to sell more than just the camera (accessories). I stated I had all the accessories I needed. They said, "OK, we might not be able to ship right away". Next, I got an e-mail stating it might be 5 weeks (web site still states "in stock"). I sent them an e-mail warning them not to scam me. Next, I received an e-mail cancelling my order. Clearly, they never intended to sell the camera at the price they advertise. BEWARE of this vendor. I will never do business with them again.

"We ordered a Canon Digital Rebel from Cameratopia near Thanksgiving Day. We were told the item was on back order, but would be shipped before Christmas. It was a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. When we called before Christmas to check the status, we were told it wouldn't be available until January. In January, it wouldn't be available until early March. In March we found out it wouldn't be available until August. When we visited our website we found out that the camera is in stock if you order it with the lens. I want to know why my order was not filled 5 months after I placed it! Needless to say, I cancelled the order and will never shop at Cameratopia again. "

"Lies! Lies! Lies! That's all I got from Camertopia. I called on January 8th to see if they had the camera I wanted in stock - "Oh yes!" they said - guarunteed! A week later my order had not shipped. So I called back - None in stock! Will take a week! Three weeks later - no change! Three e-mails were sent to them - not one was ever answered. 5 Weeks later I called and FINALLY got through to them, (20 minutes of waiting). I was passed to 5 different service operators who all heard my story and passed me on! One operator said "Wow 5 weeks! That's a long time!" and then he hung up on me. 60 seconds later my order status on the computer was changed from "shipping" to "Cancelled!" I NEVER CANCELLED THE ORDER! I just wanted someone to talk to me about why 5 weeks had gone by and nothing had shipped. They were so rude and disrepectful I was stunned!!! I guess they must be making tons of money and don't need any more business - but I wouldn't treat my dog like they treated me! 5 weeks wasted - 5 weeks being ignored! 5 weeks - only to be verbally abused at the end. Believe me - I'm a Lutheran minister and have no need to exaggerate - I guess I'm just used to dealing with people who are honest and have respect for integrity. This is the worst purchasing experience in my 48 years of life!"

"These guys are total crooks and should not be trusted. They had no intention of selling me the camera (Olympus 5060) they had advertised for the low ball price of $406. They tried every possible thing to get me to buy high priced accessories. When I said I did not want these items they of course told me other lies about the camera - no warranty, battery it comes with only lasts 30 minutes, etc. In the end they finally just told me it was backordered and I could wait an unknown amount of time. I agrued with the call scammer for 10 minutes before finally cancelling my order. SCAM! stay away from these guys!"

"This company is a scam...I ordered a canon digital rebel body only which was in stock. by the time I placed my order, they had sold out and didnt know when the new ones would arrive. They have been saying 2 weeks for a month now. By some chance they could ship me one if I wanted all the accessories...hmmmm...can you say SCAM!!! Stay far away from these criminals."

"Was told camera would be sent in 10 days. Checked after that time and was told backordered 1-3 weeks. Then told back ordered 3-5 weeks. I called them today and was told that the shipment was not expected till mid february. A little while later I received an email telling me my order had been cancelled. They will not deliver unless you are buying a lot of extras. Great prices, but no delivery. Good place to avoid."

"The prices were great. The original order came in a timely manner, but one item was missing - out-of stock. It took many phone calls and a couple of months to receive the remainder of the order. (one camera) which I eventually resolved with the customer service manager. (sent me a replacement camera) I would use them again only if I am asured up front that the item is in stock and all my order will ship together at the same time."

"Say that at their low price they will only deliver when they get too many cameras in stock, unless.... I am willing to pay an additional $599 for worthless accessories.
