"Ordered a camera three weeks ago and received an email two weeks ago to say that order was dispatched but still not arrived. With no response by telephone or email to my enquiries I got worried and my latest email today came with an immediate reply saying that the company had ceased trading.

Not convinced by the promise of a refund I have arranged to claim the money back through my bank who were very helpful. What a dissappointment for what seemed like a good, reliable deal.

"I have had a bad experience with this company as with alot of people I made the mistake of not looking at reviews about this company first. I paid for my flash £185 and waited for it to come I paid on the monday so 2-4 days would have made in due on the friday the latest but then they said it was late being picked up by courier this was on the friday so waited another 4 days still nothing so got in touch with kwikchex and they advised me to get a refund this was mission impossible so I have had to ask the bank and they have said yes no problem because the company has ceased trading should have mony by monday now there is light at the end of the tunnel finally!!"

"Within a 2 week period I had 2 orders cancelled for the same item. I'm more than £900 out of pocket and awaiting a refund. The 1st time they emailed saying a package was lost. The 2nd that my details were wrong and a security risk!!! Totally rubbish service, sorry that should be lack of service. Difficult to rate some of the services as I haven't had any.
It has taught me 1 lesson however. Read cutomer reviews for on line suppliers I will be using for the 1st time.

"Should have looked at thus and other sites after being seduced by Camerabox website to the extent of placing two orders and my money is now in their account. The jargon says i will be refunded on both orders in 2-14 days - watch this space! Never, never use them."

"If minus one million stars existed as a rating, that would not be low enough for the customer service received from camerabox.co.uk.

Ordered a camera. Money left my account.

Received an email saying it had been dispatched.

Did it turn up?

No.

Chased the company by telephone (on hold for 15 minutes with no reply) and email (several emails sent with no response received).

Eventually spoke to someone who said that the courier had lost it - this seems to happen a lot, City Link must be so careless, although all orders they deliver from Amazon arrive on time in great condition.

After nearly three weeks of no camera, have cancelled order and the waiting game for a refund commences...

"Ordered camera, received email stating goods were in transit (no courier firm number to track order), and then nothing arrived.
Then I read some really bad reviews about Camerabox on the web (no goods/probs getting refunds) feared the worse.

Tried contacting by phone, not recommended unless you don't mind listening to Frank Sinatra for a VERY long time, no reply.

Then emailed them explaining the problem.(They said that goods had been sent and were launching an investigation....[hmmmnn]). I tried to track the order and could not.

Thankfully one of their customer care guys (Jason)was very helpful and I'm glad to say I finally received my camera.

The strange thing is I was able to track the '2nd' delivery, which leads me to believe that perhaps the goods had not been sent in the first instance.

Lame excuses everytime - lost by the courier in transit.
We will get another replacement out to you - When?...In ten years time?
Threse cowboys must be trained up to give the speil to everyone, but are nothing but a bunch of fraudsters.

"Do not touch this lot! I ordered a Panasonic G2 twin lens kit and it took 10 days to arrive. When it did, the 45-200 lens was missing, but worse that that, the camera was a US model, which they "forgot" to tell me I would get. I informed them immediately and was referred to a Returns Dept. The camera was back with them within 3 days of delivery but it has taken 39 days and numerous emails to get my money back. I ordered a replacement camera from another supplier and the correct spec model was delivered the next day."

"If you enjoy listening to music, ring camerabox, you will be treated to a full CD before someone answers. Ask a question about an order you have paid for and you will be put on hold and even more music! Do not use this company. Their customer service does not exist.
My experience began on April 12th when my order for a Canon PowershotSX230 HS was ordered and the money taken from my account On the 15th I received an email telling me it had been dispatched. I was pleased as I would have plenty of time to receive it and get used to it before my holiday starting on May 5th. Failure to receive said item resulted in phone calls on April 20th, 26th, 28th May 3rd and 4th. During this period I was 3 times promised delivery and given a date. Finally on May 4th, with no prospect of a camera for my holiday,and after considerable abuse from the phone operative who lied in telling me the money had not be taken from my account, the order was cancelled and he agreed the money would be put back in my account and confirmed by email that day. No email! When I return from holday a rain soaked package is sitting outside my house, in full view, containing a camera dispatched on May 9th.

"Do not use this company. They promise a 2 - 4 day delivery but took 4 days to pass my order to their courier. A further 10days later the order had still not been received and the company took 5 days to find out that the order had been lost. An insulting £10 offerred as compensation against another camera. They appear to have no concept of how to deal with a problem, simply hoping thatit will go away."

"Don't be suckered by the professional website, or the marketing tag line "the professional's choice" - this outfit are anything but professional; they fed me a line about 'clearing security' and goods being dispatched, which then mysteriously disappeared at the hands of the (unnamed and unidenified) couriers. Very swift to take payment off my credit card though... Phone rarely functions, or sends you into the ether. AVOID, and order elsewhere."

"I had a really nightmare experience with Camerabox. I paid close to £2000 for a camcorder. The camerabox charged my credit card within two days of my purchase and promised to deliver the item within 2-4 days in the confirmation email.

After 6 working days I contacted Camerabox through their email address and requested a phone call from there website but noone contacted me. Then I called their helpline which did not have any clue where my order was. The guy on the phone promised to find out and call me back. I waited for another day and noone contacted me. So, I called their helpline again and asked for an update. They said that they lost my order and they are shipping a new item to me and they asked me to be at home on the day of the delivery. So, I took a day off from work and waited all day at home. I did not receive the order again and I called the camerabox helpline. The guy on the phone rudely told me off and did not give any information as to why the order was not delivered.

So, I ended up contacting KwikChex the following day and explained the situation. KwikChex promised to raise this issue with Camerabox and assisted me through the whole process for which I am very grateful.

As I did not receive the order after 2 weeks of my purchase, I asked KwikChex to help me in getting the refund. I was emailing KwickChex almost every morning asking for an update on the refund and KwikChex was emailing Camerabox during following 2 weeks.

During these 2 weeks I also had to contact my bank asking for a help.
Finally, after 4 weeks of my purchase I received the refund on my bank account.

So, during these 4 weeks I had to cancel my planned video products twice apologizing for all the people who were involved and also I had to pay usage and interest fee for the overdraft which I used to pay the order. Even though I emailed Camerabox asking for a compensation, they even did not have any courtesy to reply to my emails let alone compensating anything.

I would never again use camerabox website to buy anything even if i have to pay more on a different website.

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Firstly Camerabox's "Live" Stock System doesn't work

Yes the prices are cheap, but caveat emptor (buyer beware) never look a gift horse in the mouth

Communication is poor, and when you contact Trading Standards, BBC Watchdog and/or the Police, Camerabox accuse you of threatening behaviour

I used a price comparison website to look for a Panasonic TZ10 in red, and found an incredible price at Camerabox.

I tried placing my order on the 28th March 2011, but both Firefox and IE 9 failed to complete the transaction, and caused my bank to contact me using a "Fraud Warning System"

I told my bank that it wasn't fraudulent and went into work (29th march 2011) where I used an older version of IE (IE7) and I was able to place my order.

I selected standard delivery which it said would take between 2 and 4 days.

On the 5th of April 2011 I sent them a mail asking what had happened to my order as it was now 5 working days

I recieved a mail from Camerabox that it appeared they were out of stock and they "only have brown"

I replied and asked when they would have stock and if there wasn't any forecast could I please have a refund.

I phoned them after waiting for an excessive period of time I finally got through to someone, who said there was no forcast for when the camera would come in and they wouldn't cancel my order as they had to oblige by the distance selling regulations, and the only way to cancel was by email.

So I mailed them..

On the 6th April I got a reply, confirming that there was no dates for when the camera was due in and would I still like to cancel

Which of course I replied I would

I then got a further email stating that it wasn't a problem and i would recieve confirmation shortly

On the 8th of April and I have asked for an update, I have also copied Trading Standards in as I feel that might prompt them into action

****@**** could do with people skills

If anyone wants proof of their poor trading practices, I am all to willing to provide

I am still waiting for my money back, money that they never I might add had for sale in the first place

"Still no goods. Rung 4 times so far and written. Been told that it was despatched. Then told i was never told that by anyone in their company. Told it wasnt their fault customers had been panic buying? Told I would be sent a tracking number that day .... I wasnt.
Phone call number four Told that it was pointless giving me a tracking number as the courier companies book is 2 inches thick and they would never look it up.Thoroughly rude customer service,even started mimicking me on the phone.Refused to allow me to stay on hold for a supervisor or manager. Emails ignored.
At no point offered any apology for delays, inconvieniance or rudeness of other staff. Quite simply the worst on-line company i have come across. No surprise that some one has opened a web site dedicated to complaints about this operation.
Prices are only cheap when the goods arrive. I seriously doubt they ever will though.
