"It’s easy to leave negative revues. And possible too many of us don’t leave positive revues when things go as expected. But I have recently purchased a camera from camerabox.co.uk where although thing didn’t go as planned, the way in which one days delay on the delivery was sorted by giving me a free Saturday delivery and the none delivery of a memory card was sorted out in a few days with one email, I feel gives me every confidence to recommend and use this company again. It’s easy praise when things go right but it's how quickly and efficiently companies deal with problem says a lot for their organisation."

"I ordered a Ricoh Caplio R7 on 16/05/09. When I asked them the date my order would be received (having not received it by the middle of the following week - and having paid for next day delivery) I was told the camera was out of stock and that they didn't know when they were expecting to replenish their stocks of this camera. Camerabox were exceedingly fast at taking the money from my account even though they knew they had no idea when stocks would be replenished. After some emails (all of which were answered) regarding possible replacement cameras I could purchase instead, I decided to ask for a refund. Camera box promised (after reminder emails being sent to them) that the refund should be in my account in 3-5 working days. We are now well past this and the refund has not been returned and any request emails for my refund are now being ignored.
I stupidly trusted their "bona fide looking" site and paid for my camera with a debit card. I would be very interested to know if those who managed to receive their refund from camerabox originally purchased with a credit card or debit card as there is much greater online protecition with a credit card.
If you really want to believe the outstanding deals of camerabox please count the number of negative feedback and compare it to the positives and ask yourself how lucky do you feel?

"Most websites I've bought stuff from say they have things in stock, it's not until after you've handed over money you find out the item you ordered is not available. I've spent literally months chasing up orders from a variety of companies, and consequently I've been very reluctant to buy anything expensive online.
When I made my first purchase from Camerabox, I was a bit nervous, but the item I wanted was not available at a comparable price anywhere else. The Camerabox website has a live clock which said 'order within five minutes to guarantee next day delivery' when I started placing my order, and there were only 30s left on the clock when I completed my order, so I thought there wasn't a hope in hell the item would arrive next day.
I was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived 930AM the following day. I've since made a few more purchases from Camerabox. If they say it's in stock, it's definitly in stock.

"Ordered my Canon SX110 IS on 31/03/09 in the evening, the next day on 01:02pm I've recieved email saying that my order was shipped and arrived the next day. This was a standard delivery! Highly recommended!"

"Product listed as IN STOCK on website, but when I called to double check this was the case they said product was in stock but the user manual was in German, so they were waiting for delivery of English user manuals. I asked if they could deliver camera now, and then send manual at a later date. The answer was no. Why then is the product listed IN STOCK if Camerabox will not deliver it? 


Website was not updated, so I had to phone every day to find when the English manuals arrived. Customer sales advisor said unfortunately he couldn't phone me to let me know when they were in.



Camera arrived on time this morning as per the standard next day delivery. Unfortunately there was a large dust speck on the inside of the front lens element, rendering the camera useless to me. I phoned up to arrange a swap. I was informed that couriers couldn't do a pick-up and drop swap at the same time. Actually I have had this done before with a different reseller but same courier, so this is not true. Then I was told that it was against company policy to issue a replacement until the item had been SECURED back. Well it is against my company policy (and I do run a film production company) to be without a camera when the money is out of our account and the fault is not with us.



Best estimate for the new arrival of replacement unit is Wednesday, almost a full week after placing the order on Thursday for a next-day delivery. After giving up on getting a swap-over I ask if I can order a new camera, pay for it, and get a refund when they finally get my faulty camera back. 


So, I'm out of pocket for a few days... no big deal... only it is Saturday tomorrow, so if I want to get the camera before Monday I have to pay an additional £7 to secure delivery. I asked Camerabox if they would also refund this delivery charge, but the answer was no - they were already footing the expense of the pick-up. Big deal - its not my fault the camera they shipped was faulty. I was told that since I was demanding the camera be delivered on a non-working day I must foot the bill. Well actually if we backtrack, I actually wanted a working camera on the Friday... only they delivered a faulty one. Apparently this is Canon's fault not theirs. Are they willing to contact Canon to see if they will foot the bill? No. I'm told that Canon will not be interested... I'm not sure this is true, I think Canon is very proud of their good name, but legally I'm not sure where the responsibility lies... I'm pretty damn sure it is not my liability.

The Professional's Choice as they profess? Not mine.

I hope the contents of this review don't damage my chance to win the Canon 450D draw for reviewers of Camerabox...

Was a bit reluctant to buy of these guys as they had bad comments but thought id send a couple of email to see if they reply in which they did with all questions more than answered and were prompt & very curtious. These guys were far the cheapest on the web excluding ur dodgy sites that sell from miles away. I bought an Olympus sp 570 UZ and i must admit the transaction couldnt have gone any more smoothly. Rang them up 12:15pm to see if my item was in stock, placed the order at 2pm got a phone call at 3:30pm confirming the delivery address. 1:30pm the following day was delivered all in mint condition and well wrapped. Who ever said these guys are rubbish must have been either stuck up there own a** or just one of those never to please customers because these guys are the best and i will 110% swear by them and will use them again !!!
I was also concerned about the memory card i got in the bundle package there are three the M,H & +M.I didnt mind which one they gve me because i was going to get another +M anyway as this is the best one but i got the +M with my order !!!!

I have not had any concerns with my item but if its anything like the order process im sure it will be excellent !!!

Keep up the good work guys !!!!

"the worst bunch of cowboys i have ever dealt with.I bought a canon G9 and i've been ripped off, i think that i have been sold either a stolen camera or a reconditioned camera as new. I was treated very rudely and bullied when i called to query and then to complain.I've not received a manual or warranty and they did not send me what i purchased in full.

"I had looked everywhere for this camera and had found a few sites in Asia that were selling it at a reasonable price then I found Camerabox!! They had loads stuff and the prices were as good or better than the overseas prices. I ordered my Camera and it arrived within 2 days. I have subsiquently ordered filters from them and they all turned up in perfect working order. Thanks for the great service."

"PLEASE PLEASE. Listen to the reviews from people regarding this company. "I hope you read this before buying from camerabox.co.uk ... if you do, spend a few extra £'s and buy your camera elsewhere.

I placed an order on 17th October, mainly due to their 'same day despatch .. next day delivery; claim. Well, I am still awaiting the delivery and there is no way of getting hold of anyone to talk to about the order.

I have sent an E-Mail (no response), tried to call their hotline (straight to voicemail), tried to contact their 'live support' via MSN (they are offline) and finally in desperation filled out a web form. I am still waiting to hear the status of the order and where the late birthday present is for my girlfriend.

Maybe they are good in most cases .... but there are certainly a large number of unhappy customers. A simple E-Mail or phone call telling me the status would go a long way to keeping me happy ... it is simple really.

Take my advice, they might be the cheapest, but there is a reason ... pay the extra and buy from a proper company.

"After initially receiving the wrong order from camerabox.co.uk, the correct camera became faulty within the 30 day return period. After the camera was sent back I was bluntly told a charge would be levied against myself as I had thrown the box away. Email exchanges between myself and "Customer Services" quickly became confrontational and after a total of 31 emails between myself and CameraBox.co.uk the issue remains unresolved.

The return of goods in most cases is a simple matter and can often instill good will towards the seller if undertaken quickly and professionally. This has not happened and the level of service is simply terrible. Even if the camera's were being given away, I would not use this company again.

"I reviewed this company about 9 months ago having got nowhere with a faulty camera that I returned to them. Their customer service was poor, to say the least, emails and phone messages were ignored. Today, OVER ONE YEAR AFTER RETURNING THE CAMERA, I finally received a refund!! Camerabox were keen to blame the manufacturer, but whatever the details, their unwillingness to deal with the issue promptly on a camera that was only 6 weeks old when developing the fault and their very poor or non existent communication at every stage, leads me to recommend AVOIDING THEM AT ALL COST. Their deals and delivery times may look attractive, but should anything go wrong, as is reiterated in many other reviews, the saving is not worth the grief."

"Great Price but if your camera is faulty God help you. The returns policy of replacing or refunding does NOT apply to any cameras; given that this is what they mainly sell...beware. I bought a Panasonic FZ7 that had two faults (Lens and board faults according to the Panasonic Service Centre). The faults developed 23-days after purchase and I was told to phone Panasonic and have it repaired under warranty. Their customer service is appauling, they phone back when it suits them and do not always answer emails. Be warned"
